Entertainment
Under a vault of two million light bulbs and employing a 550,000-watt sound system, a four-block pedestrians-only stretch of downtown Las Vegas called Fremont Street Experience presents periodic sound-and-light shows from dusk to midnight. Other day-and-night entertainment on the street includes live music, classic-car displays, and holiday festivals. Like nine other downtown casino hotels, this hotel opens directly onto Fremont Street, creating a lively flow of pedestrian traffic.
Impressionist, singer, and entertainer Gordie Brown is famous for his comedy and impressions of celebrities such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jack Nicholson, and Sylvester Stallone, as well as Las Vegas icons like Elvis Presley and Sammy Davis, Jr.
Dance the night away at Gold Diggers, Golden Nugget's spot for cocktails, DJs, and balcony views overlooking the Fremont Street Experience. Open nights Wednesday - Sunday.
Soft lighting, ornate canopies, and brass chandeliers harkening back to the original hotel's "gambling hall" distinguish the high-energy casino, which offers 45,000 square feet of slots, video poker, video keno, blackjack, craps, roulette, Pai Gow poker, Caribbean poker, and race and sports betting. In addition, the Golden Nugget offers a 10-table smoke-free poker room with daily Texas Hold'em tournaments.
The 24 Karat Club offers complimentary membership cards that reward slot and video-poker play with cash and/or comps redeemable for food, beverages, and discounted guestrooms. Table-game play also earns comps and discounts.

“We will definitely stay at the Golden Nugget again!”
We have always stayed at the larger hotels on the strip but decided to give the "Freemont Experience" a try. We were delightfully surprised at our beautiful room that actually came with a Keurig coffee maker! The fancy smancy strip hotels don't have in room coffee makers. My husband was glad he didn't have to dress and go downstairs to get morning coffee. The only drawback was the taxi fares to travel to the strip for shows and to sight see. Count on $20 each way. Or you can always ride the bus line (frequent stops). We will definitely stay at the Golden Nugget again! Don't think our young adult children would like it as much as we did - it seemed an older crowd.
“Great hotel”
Beautiful hotel, disappointed that they do not serve coffee in the room without charge and that it does not have a hair dryer.
“NRF fun times in Vegas.”
Wonderful hotel & casino. Only issues were that the requested room type wasn't available at check-in and 1day housekeeping didn't show up.
“Nice hotel very comfortable”
Pleasantly surprised at how clean, comfortable, and quiet my room was and how good the restauants were at the hotel. Lots to do within the casino itself. Only complaint is far from the strip necessitating a cab ride anywhere, but on the last day we were there found out there was a relatively cheap shuttle to downtown. Had friends on the Fremont Street side of things who said it was too loud so recommend staying at Carson Towers for a good nights rest
“Nice Place”
The only thing I would want them to change is that they have coffee makers in rooms but they charge you for the coffee and they have bottle water and charge you for it I think that the money you are spending there that should be a thank you from them if you have to charge then take them out of the rooms and they should also put blow dryers in rooms....
“"Wasn't ready 2 leave!"”
Totally enjoyed our stay, only thing I would change would Be that we could purchase rodeo tickets as pkg deal with Room! But other than that wouldnt change 1 thing!
“it was ok”
had problem with bath tub drain very very slow and tv picture not to clear
“Great location”
The service at this hotel is outstanding. We had a problem with our bathtub, we called housekeeping and it was fixed in less than an hour. They have a great nightclub that has a balcony overlooking Fremont Street and is great for people watching!
“"COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER"”
The hotel was nice but we were very disappointed that the room did not have a refrigerator or microwave oven. When we checked in I had paid and reserved a room with non smoking king size bed. Well the clerk informed me that it was first come first available so why did I pay in advance and reserve a room at all. We were not even given the option to upgrade which I would have gladly done. We had to walk through a long hall that reaped of cigarette smoke to get to a small room with small beds. There isnt anything complimentary ( no coffee or newspaper). I think the only good thing about this hotel would be the pool area, clubs, resterauts and location. I had very high expectations of this hotel.
“Good Downtown hotel”
Very distant from Las Vegas Boulevar - The Strip, the bus connection borring
