Nice hotel, lots of excitement!

Posted Jul 25, 2015
The hotel is beautiful, pool is AWSOME! And as non- smokers we were very impressed, there was no smoke smell at all. Grotto is an wonderful restaurant food is excellent! The only down side was the staff... a couple of people we delt with were very rude, and they don't clearly explain the way they charge for the resort fee. We would definitely stay there again.

Plus and minus

Posted Jul 25, 2015
Pros: Buffet
Cons: Need to replace carpets in elevators. Need to make wifi easy to logon.
The hotel is nice, not great. The carpet in the elevators (garage and Rush Tower) was dirty to very dirty. Room was nice. Logging on to wifi was a problem, so I used my own MiFi. I think the Resort charge (here and elsewhere) is ridiculous. If a charge is mandatory, it should be part of the room charge, not treated like an optional charge. In this case, I would not have paid the charge if it was optional. As always, the Buffet is tops. Everyone on staff was very friendly/helpful.

OK for downtown Las Vegas but far from the Strip

Posted Jul 25, 2015
Pros: Price and Parking
Location: Gambling is all over the place
The stay is relative cheap but the small water bottle in the room cost 4 $ and the coffee capsule (for making your own coffee) is 2,50$. It is far from the Strip where the real noise in Las Vegas is. The Swimming pool small and filled to the brim. The parking is free for the guest but sometimes full and you have to go somewhere else.

At the heart of Fremont STreet

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: Centrally located.
Cons: Stupid rules like the business center can't help you print your boarding passes if you DID pay the resort fee, only if you didn't. WHAT?
Location: Centrally located on Fremont Street, it's perfect and close to everything downtown. Perfect location!
We had a family trip with a total of 3 rooms. Each room had its issues but nothing terrible. We love the Golden Nugget and will stay there again.

Nice, Clean Hotel

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: We stayed in the Gold Tower, was right on the Casino Floor and Elevator was very close to the pool entrance. Great Pool!
Very Nice Hotel and Staff - When I called to confirm that I had a non-smoking king room, I was told that I had to pay extra to be a preferred customer, but this would give me priority check-in, would be able to check in early if a room was available and would receive coupons and discount meal tickets. When we checked in, we could not find any where that said you were supposed to check in as a Preferred customer, so stood in line, was able to get into our room right away, but when I mentioned the coupons the desk person acted very confused. I personally would not pay the fee again. Overall I would recommend this hotel, just don't get suckered in to all of the fees in my experience they were not worth it.

The heart of old school Vegas with class

First stay at the golden nugget and it won't be our last! Great pool but extremely slippery edges! Nice upgraded rooms should come with mini fridge. The beds are nice but as comfortable as newer hotels.

came for wedding anniversary

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: everything ===and we have seen many
Cons: the a/c was semi cool, made for uncomfortable sleeping
Location: never left
The first contact was Brian in valet and he was "GREAT" very welcoming. reception desk again excelled, room was clean and nicely appointed. Maid service was so good Ieft my very first housekeeping tip. We had our dinner in the Chart House our waiter Brett was outstanding the meal was average but his service as superb and negated the negative. In the 46 bar our waitress (sorry no name) was the best, about 30 short dark hair about 5 4 super fast and cordial wife and I both appreciated the attention and service...at check out bellman Mike was above and beyond any expectations....Thank you and your staff for a great experience for two appreciative seniors who gamble a lot and recognize a job "Well Done" !!!
