nice with some some issuesPosted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: its location.
Cons: the desk adjacent to the check out desk, was a man that when my wife asked him if she could checkout here, he told her "oh, this the VIP checkout.
Location: Saturday night outside has live bands and lots to see.
the room and staff were nice. BUT, at checkout time, and there is a line and only one person there to check people out when they are catching flights. also, i didn't see any advance checkout slips in my room. the coffee in the room had a price tag of 10 dollars and the bottled water said 4 dollars. the room maid said that the waters were free 2 per day but i told her how would i know with the price tag on it. also, we stayed in the Rush tower. on the 16th floor, the rooms are nice. but a friend that came to meet us, got one of the end of the hall rooms and it was like a suite. after seeing that i was sorta disappointed with our room. but otherwise, the hotel and staff were very nice.

Expected betterPosted Mar 3, 2015
Location was great for Downtown Vegas. I expected a better room after hearing all the upgrades the Golden Nugget had done but was very disappointed. I guess I got stuck in the section that wasn't upgraded which would explain the great deal I got. If you stay here upgrade to a better room, hopefully it will be more appealing.

Beautiful hotel in the middle of the freak showPosted Mar 2, 2015
Hotel is lovely, clean, affordable, friendly staff...but the location sucks. The Fremount Street Experience has truly gone downhill. Pan handlers everywhere, and if it's not them trying to crawl in your pocket it's the resort reps outside trying to sell you time shares. Hundreds of people in various forms of dress or undress loitering about trying to get you to take a picture with them, for which they will demand $5 -$20 a pop.

Very handy for the Gordie Browne showPosted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: It's on Fremont Street, handy to access other hotels
Cons: Slow checkout. Very long line.
Location: Mob Museum, Hugo's restaurant in the 4 Queens (next door) is the Best in Vegas
Very nice staff, beautiful pool area (though too cool to appreciate this trip), slow checkout procedure

Golden Nugget?Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Liked the location. Everything was easy to get to for my wife's sister who is handicapped. Valet service was excellent.
Cons: Think the coffee and water should be free. Was not a hair dryer in our room, would fix that. The check out kiosk could be a 24/7 operation.
Location: Enjoyed the surrounding area...plenty of stores and outside entertainment.
They did not have our room when we checked in on Wed. night, offered to change our room on Thursday, but we decided against having to unpack and repack and then unpack again. Did put us on the floor where my wife's sister and husband were staying. Was put off somewhat by the price of water in the room and the price on the coffee. One dirty glass on the table was still there the morning we checked out. Check out kiosk was not working when we went to check out at 3 a.m. Had to wait in line to check out.

Cons: Dont like that there is so many kids! I would rather vacation without.
Location: We went ot the Mob Musum and that was cool. We did the Jerky store, the Fremont was amazing! We walked and looked at everything!
So amazing! I would tell all my friends and and family to go to the Golden Nugget. Your staff is great, pool is so cool I love the sharks and fish. The only thing is when I vacation I like to vacation without children. There was so many kids.

The best hotel on Fremont StreetPosted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: The room, upkeep, and pleasant staff.
Cons: There was a leak in our bathroom that smelled like sour water which needed to be fixed.
Location: The location is great, right in the middle of Fremont Street, and across from the Four Queens. Not too far from convenience stores and zip line.
We're locals, and knew the other casino/hotels on Fremont were dives. The Golden Nugget is big, well kept, clean, and the rooms are real nice.
