I love this hotel!

Posted Oct 1, 2014
Pros: Clean, lively, fun place to stay.
Cons: Not for me
Location: Mob Museum, Gold Silver Pawn Shop. Go early 8-9 am Good time
Fremont Street Experience terrific nighttime entertainment. Hotel staff terrific. Please remember to leave a daily tip for the Housekeepers. They leave the room in clean, fresh, and comfort walking in. Checkin at the Rush Tower it's worth the upgrade.

Noisy if you want to sleep.

Posted Sep 30, 2014
Pros: Nice rooms, great pool with shark tank for kids to enjoy.
Cons: Noise level from street!
I was in a Gold Club room, which is considered an upgrade. I was with my husband and toddler child. Our room faced the Fremont experience side on the 22nd floor (we had a relative booking our upgrade as a surprise) and the loud live band noise until 1 a.m. was unbearable. I couldn't sleep until it was over! If you are there to party, fine, but not with a family trying to sleep. Other then that, it was a nice hotel. Some staff could have been friendlier. The man at VIP check-in was nice, but the woman was a little abrupt. I think if you make sure you're not on the Fremont Experience side you may be okay.

location was wonderful

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: location. best kept hotel downtown and we hit most all of them.
Cons: checkin could have used more employees.
Location: we walked to the mob museum. short drive to pawn starts (saw chumly) found $5 craps. lots of tourist shops if that is what you want.
stayed in carson tower. room was large and clean. sports book area a bit small so we went elsewhere for football games. best hotel downtown by far. no more walking miles & miles on the strip for casinos that look the same once you get inside. downtown far more convenient and less crowded. we will make a trip to the strip when in vegas but will stay at the nugget. checkin was a bit slow. starbucks in lobby was wonderful in mornings.

Nice hotel on Freemont Street

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: Easy to get to Freemont Street
Cons: I can not believe, in this day and age that there isn't free wifi. They actually expect you to pay $12.99 per day per device for it.
Great hotel. Clean, comfortable. Only drawback is no wifi. This would stop me from staying there again.

Excellent Hotel on Fremont Street

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness & staff.
Cons: Hardware in the washroom is way over due, love to see those being upgraded in the near future.
Location: Very convenient location for the Fremont street experience, public transport, restaurants to grab a bite and shopping at the Premium Outlet North.
Well maintained, clean, professional & friendly staff, very convenient location for the Fremont street experience, taking public transport, find variety of restaurants to grab a bite and shopping at the Premium Outlet North. Although Carson tower where we stayed was an older structure and all the hardware in the room were due for upgrade, however, the room, linen and towels are all clean. This was our third visit to Vegas, we stayed on the strip in our previous trips, after this visit we would love to stay in down town in our future visits to Vegas, preferably in the Golden Nugget.

Incredible experience and owe allot to our stay at the Golden Nugget. The room was spotless, very big and more than comfortable. The room service was quick and food excellent, Bell and Valet prompt and all staff was pleasant and helpful at all times. This is out "to-go-spot" from now on, any adventures to Las Vegas and we will definitely be staying only in the Golden Nugget!

Good Value, But...

Posted Sep 28, 2014
Pros: The room was great. The pool was very interesting.
Location: The Freemont Experience was very interesting.
Everything was great, except they nickel and dime you for amenities. There's a $10 charge for coffee in your room and another charge for using the internet. There's no coffee shop in the hotel to get a cheap meal.
