Nice hotelPosted May 25, 2015
Pros: I like this one a lot. I will recommend it to my friends.
The hotel is clean and nice for stay. It has the old taste of Las Vegas. I used to stay at Aria, but I like this one better. It is cheap and comfort. The room is spacious.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Golden Nugget. Great location... in Downtown Las Vegas. Very nice large room, king size bed, clean, quiet. We tried the hotel restaurant for breakfast and dinner... good food and prices (considering that you're in Vegas :)) )

Minderwertige DreckbudePosted May 24, 2015

Different AtmospherePosted May 24, 2015
Pros: Nicest downtown hotel. Clean rooms.
Cons: Pool WAY to crowded with loungers so close to each other and no room to move around.
Location: Always like the opportunity to get out and walk around and easy entrance to other casinos.
Main change for me is the "extra" costs for everything. Parking, Pool Area even if you don't use it. Coffee in room $10.00. $4.00 for the bottle water. Glad we had a car - and thank you Wal-Mart! Golden is still the best Hotel downtown. But downtown has changed a lot too. Too many vagrants and individuals half nude wanting money to take pictures with them. I know that Vegas is the fun place but maybe I am getting too old for it.

My stay at the Golden NuggetPosted May 24, 2015
Pros: Pretty much everything, prices were great, food was excellent, very clean!
Cons: Pool seating was hard to find!
Location: Walking distance to all kinds of entertainment, great restaurants, walgreens, and drinks are like half the price of the strip!
Had a wonderful time at the Golden Nugget! Hotel was very clean, the staff was fantastic, rooms are a very nice size, and the food at the hotel was excellent! The only issue we ran into was at the pool! Hard to find a seat even in the late afternoon! But that didn't hold us back from having a wonderful time and a positive experience!

May Vegas TripPosted May 23, 2015
First time stay at the Nugget. We enjoyed the Fremont Experience! The Nugget Gold Tower is VERY nice. Stayed 3 nights in the Carson tower, very old and outdated. Had to juggle the toilet to get it to stop running.

Resort taxPosted May 23, 2015
I enjoyed my stay at the Golden Nugget like I always do. We go there twice a year and I've never had a problem and I always enjoyed our stay. But there was nothing said when I booked the room on the website or through the travel agency I used. I accidentally found out through a friend. And lo and behold when I went to check out of the hotel there was the resort tax. I do not know why it was just added to the price of the room instead of adding a tax they don't tell anybody about. That is the only thing I have ever been disappointed at at the Golden Nugget. It was also the same when they put the Fremont experience tax on without telling anybody. I will go back because I enjoy Las Vegas and the Golden Nugget just disappointed on their secret TAXS....

Economical comfort! Cool pool!Posted May 22, 2015
Rooms were a little outdated but clean, beds were amazingly comfortable. Wish the room would have had a blow dryer and a mini fridge and the bottles of water should have been complimentary. Overall it was a great place for Fremont Street. If we were just going back to gamble I would stay here again. Fremont Street has the best dealers, they're friendly and helpful. A bit of an inconvenience if all your plans are on the strip.
