Quiet. No gaming, no smoke

Posted Jan 25, 2015
Pros: Away from it all
Location: Grocery shop
Higher class of people stay there. Felt safe a lot of security present.

Not What We Expected

Posted Jan 24, 2015
Pros: Nice pools. Great staff. Since you are so far away from the strip, you can go next door to a casino instead of going into town.
Cons: Needs an update and a review of cleanliness standards.
This hotel is not close to the strip as stated. To get to the strip you need to take the freeway. While the room was roomy and spacious, several items were less than up to par. Our toilet was very dirty...two of the burners on the stove did not work, silverware was missing and dirty. Couch cushions were broken down. We found bobby pins on the floor which were not ours, which when combined with other factors made us wonder exactly how thoroughly the rooms are cleaned. The pillows were great, the bed...this momma bear likes a bed with a tad bit more support. The hotel staff were very well trained and welcoming.

2-Day Stay at Grandview

Posted Jan 24, 2015
Pros: quiet big room
Cons: Let guests know up front that there is no maid service and no coffee available unless you "drive" back to the hotel lobby and ask for it.
Location: The location is way south of town, 5 miles or so. There is one casino nearby. Food and drink must be driven to or brought with you.
No maid service, beds are medeocre, shower was nice, no noise, hot water worked, sinks and shower drained, but what was really upsetting.....no in-room coffee. Very expensive for the amenities, hotel lobby is not easy to find. and due to the size of the complex, the room was difficult to locate. Their complex maps are poor, the buildings aren't readily marked unless you're in the respective lobby. All-in-all, very disappointing.

Roomy suite

Posted Jan 18, 2015
Pros: The spacious rooms.
Location: The location is walking distance to the South Point Casino. Shuttles provide access to shopping and the Strip.
The Grand View in Las Vegas provides easy access to the South Point Hotel and Casino. The suites are roomy and comfortable. The fully stocked kitchen was a plus for our two week stay.

Great quiet relaxing hotel

Posted Jan 16, 2015
Great place to stay, beautiful suites. Nice and relaxing, no casino, but right next door to one, if your looking for one. Great restaurants in the area, along with a theatre, bowling alley, and not to far from the strip for all the action

Quiet spot in the middle of nowhere

Posted Jan 15, 2015
Cons: The WiFi was dreadful. Fix that, it's not 2009 anymore.
Location: There's south point if you want cheap diner food. That's IT. NOTHING ELSE NEARBY. This is a plus, in my opinion.
I don't think you can emphasize enough how "in the middle of nowhere" this feels. It's a massive ugly gross development, on the south edge of las vegas. 10 enormous buildings, each with 20 enormous floors, each with 40 enormous rooms. Gross. However... It's an oasis from las vegas. You drive there, get out of your car, and it's quiet. It's a short walk to your room. The room is big. The room is quiet.

We’re glad that you appreciated our location away from the hustle and bustle of the Strip, yet close enough to take advantage of all of the action. Sorry to hear that the wiFi wasn’t reliable during your stay.

No room service doting my stay. No one made the bed or cleaned the room. At about $200 a night I would expect a little more

It was a great place, quiet from the regular strip

The Sq. Footage was large enough for one person to work in during CES. And the price was just right. I'd come back.

CES 2015

Posted Jan 13, 2015
Pros: Price and amenities.
Cons: No continental breakfast and the Internet was flaky.
Location: The Town Square shopping plaza and Las Vegas Premium Outlets are two miles north of the hotel.
Very affordable hotel. I have been attending the Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas for the last ten years and have stayed at a variety of hotels all over the area. This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at in the Las Vegas area! Primarily because each room is like a small apartment with a washer and dryer, in addition to a stove, microwave, dish washer, refrigerator and jacuzzi. The only down sides to this hotel is that there isn't a continental breakfast, the Internet is flaky (if you like streaming services) and this is south of the strip (where South Las Vegas Blvd narrows from 6 lanes of traffic to two lanes).

Thank you for your review and for choosing The Grandview at Las Vegas during your stay at the Consumer Electronics Show. It is important to note that The Grandview is not a hotel, but rather a timeshare resort. We offer different amenities than a hotel does which include spacious accommodations with privacy for families, which include full kitchens, washers/dryers, etc. Continental breakfast is not among the amenities that we offer due to the kitchen facilities in each unit. We hope that you will consider us again for your next trip.

Wonderful!

We very much enjoyed our stay. The pictures didn't do justice to the room, very spacious, numerous amenities and quite comfortable. Conveniently located next door to South Point Hotel for gambling, food and entertainment. We seldem went downtown. Wish we could have stayed longer.
