Wonderful, pleasantly surprisedPosted Aug 25, 2014
Cons: Drinks at pool were quite pricey. Over $30 for 2 cocktails. Bucket of beer was more reasonable at $42
Beautiful room with high ceiling, comfy bed as well as a great comfortable chair and ottoman and stunning furnishings and bathroom. Restaurants and cinema were good but the standout for our stay was the pool. It's huge, the lounge chairs were thick and plush and the pool area is lavish and immaculate. We travel to five star resorts every winter and this resort was as beautiful and well done as the others we have stayed in. It was more than we expected and we will definitely sty again the next time we are in the Las Vegas area.

Excellent - perfect fit for reason of my visitPosted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: The elegance without the normal Las Vegas gaudiness.
Cons: Wasn't crazy about the Lobby Bar. I would like to see something a bit more fitting with the feel of the hotel. HATED the white vinyl banquet booths
Location: The location is a bit removed from the strip yet close enough to do whatever you want in Las Vegas, except you can return to peaceful accommodations.
Lovely, elegant. We (mother and my sisters) traveled to Henderson for the military funeral of our young cousin. It was such an overwhelmingly pleasant surprise to walk into this beautiful Spanish Colonial hotel. So different from the cheesey glitz of the strip. While the hotel has a casino, every type of restaurant you could want and beautiful pool/patio areas, once we were in our rooms and we shut our doors, it was peaceful and serene. Absolutely loved it and would love to return under happier circumstances. I would recommend this destination to friends who have been to Las Vegas before and are looking for an elegant, tasteful change of pace. Easy access to the airport with their shuttle service. I can't imagine having found a better spot for our needs.

Quite an experience!Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: It was a fun experience.
Cons: We did not know what we were in for so something went awry in the description and decision making process.
Location: Ideal for moving on to see the Hoover Dam and for the journey to the Grand Canyon. Got to see view of Las Vegas at night.
We were staying one night having driven through Death Valley and being on our way to the Grand Canyon the next day. This hotel turned out to be way more upmarket than we had ever expected with an integral casino and cinema plus a mall next door. Our car was valet parked and we scrabbled to get things out that we would need, not having expected this! We felt rather dishevelled entering the huge marble reception and as we walked through the plush outdoor facilities. In the room, the beds and bathroom were to die for but the TV would not work and the drinks and chocolates on offer were way out of our price league. As was the $25 Romance Kit! We explored the casino facilities with the many restaurants and take away options - including a Starbucks - and it was all good fun as an experience. Unlike the rest of the hotels we stayed at on this trip, free breakfast was not part of the deal!

Beautiful hotelPosted Aug 19, 2014
We stayed for a night to attend an event. The room, facilities, amenities were great. The only drawback is the lack of any soundproofing between rooms. We heard guests (and their tvs and phones) on both sides, and they weren't even raising their voices or intentionally being loud.

Nice pool, away from noise of StripPosted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Clean, comfortable, nice bathroom area, great pool, like Henderson area.
Cons: Nothing, enjoyed visit very much!
Location: Only about 10 minute drive to strip, close to airport without noise of planes flying overhead, shopping district across street.
Had friends stay here last summer when we were out getting married, brought us back to visit and hang out by pool. Liked it so much, decided to stay there this summer. Nice room, smaller but less busy casino, wonderful pool area, and away from congestion of Strip. Would stay here again!

Beautiful luxury hotel with devious payment policyPosted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: Opulence, beauty, luxury etc.
Cons: See above. Where is my 100 dollar credit?
Location: Las Vegas area.
Expedia quoted my one night stay at $73 including tax, etc. They said the resort MAY charge additional fees. Upon checking in I was charged a $25 "resort fee" with little explanation of the reason. Was also asked for a $100 refundable deposit. When checking out I was told the computer system was down and they would have to wait to credit my visa card. The 100 credit is still pending ??!!

Musty smellPosted Jul 29, 2014
The outside grounds and pool area are top notch! However, the hallways, food area and casino has a very stale musty smell- if they could remedy this, it would be a five star hotel. The carpets need a heavy duty cleaning or replaced. The maids and buffet attendants were wonderful! The location is wonderful as there is a Cheesecake Factory and outlet shopping right across the facility.
