Pros: Everything!
Cons: Signage for getting to the hotel from the main street is very poor.
Great hotel and very reasonable rates. Nice outdoor spa for late in the evening enjoyment.

Beautiful hotel

Posted May 19, 2015
Pros: Since we didn't want to gamble all the time it was great to have good shopping nearby and a really good theater in the hotel.
Cons: Better directions for finding your way around the HUGE hotel.
Location: Gambling, eating, shopping, swimming, movies......
I stayed at this hotel several years ago and had a terrible experience. This time everything was great! Good shopping and places to eat nearby. The staff was friendly. The room was large and the beds were comfortable. I am very glad we tried it again. It is a much better experience than staying on the strip.

Pros: Clean
Cons: Choice of paying for daily use of extra services.......did not use any.
Location: Cannot comment.
Not a hotel that a disabled person would be comfortable staying at as a lot of distance from rooms to places to eat and amenities. Definitely need your own walker/wheelchair if have difficulty walking distances.

Area Built Up

Posted May 4, 2015
Pros: Pool. Rooms.
Cons: Dynamite the casino.
Location: Cheap dining across the hiway. A very good pizza place (Sette something) across the street run by an old SC QB.
I paid around $80 so it was amazing ($30 "because we can" resort fee). At $300 I wouldn't be as receptive. The main problem is the tacky casino that surrounds it. I thought I was going to some place like the Canyon Ranch and ended up in the middle of a sprawling suburb. I thought I was in the wrong place when I saw the casino on top of it. It wouldn't be a problem if all the restaurants and the parking garage were in the casino. You have to walk through it and you end up smelling like smoke. It's also on a highway. I liked the grounds/pool. The room was very nice. I just expected more of a "lux/extraordinary" experience. It ended up like staying at a Camelback Mountain Lite. The also have tatted up waitresses in bikinis at the pool if that sways you one way or the other.

Superbly presented hotel in every way with attentive staff and every amenity you could desire. Pool area in lush garden was a joy just a pity the weather wasn't. Valet parking v Easy and quick. Really couldn't fault it and would consider staying again

Pros: Had everything I wanted.
Cons: Bed and pillows.
Location: location was great. Away from strip but has everything a person would want.
Room was very nice. All items in room were very pricey. Bed was a C-. and pillows were to big for sleeping and hard. All in all it is a very nice place to stay. Staff was very friendly and ready to please. Easy check-in and was able to check out from my room through the TV. We stayed a total of 3 nights and will stay there again if and when we travel back to that area.

Oasis in Vegas

Posted Apr 16, 2015
Pros: Pool and landscaping are beautiful. Breakfast buffet is exceptional. Staff works hard to make you happy but are still smiling & friendly.
Cons: Resort fee proliferation is annoying.
Wife and I were making a post-Spring Break 3 night trip to Vegas while wonderful mom-in-law watched the kids. Done Vegas many times and I was looking for something different. Had never stayed at GVR but had briefly walked through last year and was impressed by the grounds, so I booked online for less than I would have paid for a discounted strip room. The package included daily breakfast buffet for two which turned out to be a much better perk than I imagined. Arrived on Sat. afternoon. Never having used a hotel shuttle before, we had to ask for directions from the baggage area [hotel bus area is one level down from the baggage claim area on the taxi cab side and there is an escalator down]. Know that the resort's shuttle service is LIMITED but if you can be flexible on time, it is very nice. Check in quick & informative. In East Tower so walked by pool area [beautiful] to get elevator to room. Room was large, clean, and nice- parking lot side so no pool view but good room- ample drawers, bath w/ separate shower & nice size vanity. Did trip to LV strip Sat night for a show, taxi RT is expensive- don't bother with strip unless absolutely must-see. Spent rest of time at GVR, day at pool with nice drink & lunch service, wife an afternoon at spa, dinner 2 nights at GVR- Hanks & Tides [don't let diner look of Tides fool you, food is exceptional]. Casino is large with decent rules & limits on tables & variety of machines. Excellent trip!

Quick stay

Posted Apr 15, 2015
Pros: Room is very spacious and clean.
Perfect romantic evening with my lady. Called to check if I could check in early, hotel was booked up for the night however was told to come in anyway to complete check-in. Once I arrived a room had become available. Check-in was quick, we got our room 3 hours ahead of check in time, which started a wonderful night.
