HARD ROCK VEGAS

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: The room and pool were great.
Cons: Shuttle service.
Great hotel. Awesome pool! Was disappointed with the shuttle service. Shuttle service ended at 5 P.M. which I felt was way too early. Other than that it was a great stay.

Very nice!!

Posted Jul 21, 2014
The staff was very pleasant and we were treated like welcomed guests, instead of the bedraggled and road-weary travelers that we were. The room was lovely, but our only view was of the rooftop next door... no lights, no pool, just a white rooftop. Also, being from Colorado, I'm not used to the desert heat, but I wasn't able to control the temperature. Aside from that, the room was great! The shower alone was worth the stay...

Nasty floors pool closed last shuttle at 5 ohh my!

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Room was nice except the floor had an iron burn, to many cigarette burns to count, and several other stains that I'm glad I don't know the orgin. Pools close at 7pm way to early when your paying a resort fee ontop of the room rate. To top it off the shuttle stops running at 5PM who ever came up with that needs fired. For a hotel that wants the party crowd they don't provide transportation after 5 to the strip. They could have a driver on call for the slow hrs. Hell I'm available sounds like a fun job.

No Gambling for me

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: Everything! Especially the very luxurious beds! Very clean very nice!
Cons: Way too noisy around the check-in desk, from the music in the casino. I could not hear the girls at the desk very well.
Location: We were only there one night and then off the Hoover Dam about a half our away.
The experience started kind of terribly, due to a problem between Expedia and The Hotel. However, once we got to our room, that didn't matter anymore! My wife and I are not gamblers and I have never been to Vegas and never been in such a nice hotel. Perhaps this one is not one of the nicer ones, such as the Caesar's Palace, but to my wife, my two boys and myself, it was a little bit of heaven! We thought the room was magnificent! The mini-bar was awesome, however, be careful, it will automatically charge your room if you remove something and don't put it back in a timely manner, unless of course you want to drink it. For the price we booked on Expedia, it was a fantastic, absolutely awesome place.

Overall, I was very disappointed...

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: The rooms were clean
Cons: All of the employees we dealt with were unapologetic and insincere. We couldn't even use any of the hotel facilities because the hours were so short.
Location: You're better off staying on the strip even with the shuttle that runs to the strip from the hotel.
When we first arrived, the front desk agent was very rude. She didn't greet us and just asked for my credit card. When I gave it to her she just charged it for a $50 deposit without explaining what she was doing. She assigned us to our room and even when we asked for directions to our room told us to "follow the signs" (it is a very large hotel with different buildings and confusing signs, we wouldn't be able to figure it out on our own and had to ask other employees). Once we got to our room, we discovered it was a smoking room (the only thing we requested was a non-smoking room). The front desk lady didn't even tell us she put us in a smoking room! We called down, and they said there was nothing they could do until the next morning. The room had the strongest smoke smell, and there weren't any windows or anything to help us get rid of the smell to sleep through the night. The next morning we went down and spoke to the manager, who was unfriendly, and they moved us to a non-smoking room, but it took them 3 hours to move us. Since all of our stuff was in the smoking room, we had to wait around in the hotel until the room was ready, so we couldn't do anything and had to wait around to start our vacation! The next night the hotel was having some kind of private party outside, which we did not know about, and loud music was playing until 1 AM! No one told us there was going to be a party and you could hear it all the way in our room! We couldn't sleep at all for those 2 nights.

Smoking allowed in hotel. Over priced and average

Posted Jul 17, 2014
I stayed at this hotel for a basketball tournament and was very disappointed that they allowed people to smoke in every area of the hotel as I had a baby with me. The food tastes average and is extremely over priced. Overall I would not recommend this hotel unless you are a smoker, want to pay too much for unappealing food and only want to gamble.

Hard Rock could be better

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Location to the Summer League Basketball. Food was good.
Cons: It is looking old and it wouldn't take much to refresh the bathrooms. Lack of concierge.
Our stay was fine. We were comfortable, but I don't understand why hotels don't keep their bathrooms cleaner. It is one of the key factors (right behind bed comfort) people evaluate a hotel room. The caulking had mold and was dirty around the sink. Seriously, how long can it take to re-caulk each year? Minor point - they could vacuum and dust a little more often if you are going to have black furniture and carpets.
