Pools closed when it was 110° in Vegas. Only open pool was too hot to swim in. Server at diner helped us out with kids

Rocking and Rolling at the "HARD ROCK"Posted Jul 2, 2015
Pros: Great food in all of the restaurants and all of the staff were so very nice and helpful as well. Never met any staff member that was not smiling.
Cons: Swimming pools the water temperature was more like a hot tub than a cool dip. Most of the people we talked with were not happy about that.
Location: You are off the strip here but only a short taxi ride to the strip. The hotel has a shuttle to town running every hour on the hour during the day.
Have to say we went to Vegas with our Arena Football team to play the local AFL team the Las Vegas Outlaws owned by Vince Neil lead man for Motley Crue and the Hard Rock is close to the UNLV campus where our game was to be played, so it was a natural. We knew we would be partying with Vince after the game, what we did not know was that the night after the game would also mark the closing of the Hard Rocks Center bar which has been a ikon of places to hang in Vegas and so after 20years this famous landmark was closing and it was a party to remember with lots of staff from over the years and many who were regulars over the years. We met a guy who like one of our friends with us was there in 1995 when the bar opened, one of the bar tenders has been working there as well for the entire 20 years. It was a great part and we can hardly wait for September to see what the Hotel will opening in this spot. They were already working on that project the next morning and the staff we talked with told us that management says it will be spectacular when they opened again. This is a fun place to stay and if you are in to music and the people who make it and made it there is so much memorabilia to see. It is well worth the stay at any age and the prices are very reasonable compared to much of the strip hotels and yet you get all of the glitz and excitement of Vegas.

Terrible accommodationPosted Jul 1, 2015
Dirty hotel that is extremely outdated. Unclean rooms bugs on floor terrible odour and this was with an upgraded room in there newer room hate to think what the older rooms looked like. Hair dryer smelt like burning vomit on the bathroom mat the list goes on. Book a better hotel. Hotel called Saturday at 9am to come down to front desk, annoying. Far from strip. Terrible room service breakfast potatoes not even cooked. At check out mentioned a few of these issues and found employee very rude.................................................................

Great hotel but I rather stay on the stripPosted Jun 30, 2015
The hotel was awesome overall the only thing that bothered me was the 8 dollar trip back and forth to the strip everything I did other that the pool party at Hard Rock was on the strip so I'll prefer a room a the strip next time

Hard rock does not rock!Posted Jun 28, 2015
Read the fine print! They charge a daily resort fee to use the pool on top of the hotel rate. Then you have to pay for a day bed or a cabana at $55+! There are free chairs but that section was closed for the 5 nights we were there. My view on the forth floor was of a wall! No shiny Vegas lights for me. My room was cleaned once while we were there. I had to ask for more towels. The staff was rude from the front desk to the Resturants. Oh! This hotel is as far from the strip as you can be! So me and my wife took the hotel shuttle to the strip. The shuttle drops us off in an ally by the dumpster behind the fashion show mall that is under construction. Real safe area (sarcasm). The alternative to the shuttle which only runs from noon to five (the hottest part of the day) (it was 110+ degrees), is a $20 each way cab ride. I spent over $250 on just cabs because it is so inconveniently located. All arond awful trip. We will not be returning. Sad, because the music was great.

Overlooked poolsPosted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: For us it was a nice place to rest.
Cons: plumbing, Also, their shuttle service is not to helpful. Only runs until 5 pm
Location: It was a little far from the strip and the shuttle to the strip only ran until 5 pm.
It was unexpectedly pleasant. The room was very nice, beds really comfortable. Only problem was the bathtub/shower was very, very slow to drain. Took 15 - 20 minutes.
