A good hotel that was built too far from the strip

Posted Aug 25, 2014
I was excited about the iPod Dock that was in the room but it never worked, and the bed was way too soft. The 21 and up pool was also nice but it's easier to control a child than a drunk college kid. If it wasn't so far off the strip I'd probably give it another shot. Food was good and the band that played Friday night was great.

Awesome hotel

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: Pool area, ambiance
Cons: Lose the fridge with sensors and make it available for personal use.
Location: Location was off the Strip, it was only a 20 minute walk to the Strip, but hey a little exercise has never hurt anyone ;)
We really enjoyed our stay, the hotel was top notch. Our party wasn't aware that the hotel was off the Strip, at first it seemed like a turn off, but in the end we couldn't be more happy with the location. Rooms were really nice, the pool area was just great, really enjoyed hanging out there, they had some good music on in all the different areas which we really enjoyed.

A lot better than I expected

Posted Aug 22, 2014
Pros: Young crowd. Good music. Restaurants were reasonably priced
Location: A little bit off the strip
I paid a low price for this hotel as part of a package rate for a quick 1 day business meeting. I expected a typical "worn in" Vegas experience and was surprised to see the hotel in such great shape. I like to listen to hard rock music and the night before my meeting I stayed up late drinking and had a great dinner at a very reasonable priced bar/restaurant (culinary dropout, I think?). My room was recently renovated and in great shape. This is a great alternative to the busy strip hotels. I'll definably consider it as an alternative to those places when I come back for a vacation.

Not the greatest hotel in Vegas.

Posted Aug 22, 2014
We have stayed at many different hotels in vegas over the past few years. Let's just say hard rock was not at all what I expected it to be. After the long checkin process which took over and hour as there was a huge line up we went up to our room. The room was shaking as there was a pool party going on downstairs. We were on the 8th floor so I did not expect such poor soundproofing. Anyway after that we noticed there were food stained on the carpet and we asked if we could change rooms. We even offered to pay more. In response we were told they would refund our resort fees and have the stain cleaned. After this we noticed the light in the bathroom shower was not working so the next day they came and fixed it and housekeeping came and fixed up the room but they still did not come and clean the food stains on the carpet. After that I just gave up and stopped asking. I believe that because our resort fees were waived they assumed that they were no longer obligated to clean the stains. The stains were still there up until we checked out. With so many other options in the city I thought they might want to retain customers. Hopefully they can try better for others.

Hard Rock disappointment.

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: Feather beds.
Cons: Get back to customer service and being focused on giving the customer a stellar experience. Th a t will make the distance worth it.
Location: Nada! Really!
Service staff had rotten attitudes. Did not honor reservation choices. Rooms dated. Skimped on towels. Pools on weekend are extra-- $50 for males and $30 for females. You feel the hotel is not focusing on service and focuses on your wallet-- overtly so. Too far off the strip and no good sidewalks. Will not stay there again---better service, better rooms, more options dining, more shows at the Mirage for the same price. Beds great though!!!

Does not stack up to other Hard Rocks.

My bed felt like clothes stuffed in pillow case. Lumpy and aweful. No coffee maker in room. I was supposed to have a king size with pool view I got there and they were out. So I got a room with the view of a street and parking lot. They NEVER answer the phone when you call front desk or house keeping.

Great food options, fun pool atmosphere without the congestion of the strip!
