Close to town and a shuttle

From the moment we arrived our stay was great. The room was clean. The bed comfy. Breakfast in the AM really good. But best was the shuttle to Mandalay.

Couple of Issues

Bathtub was clogged, and housekeeping left used towel from another room in my room. Very welcoming. Great breakfast. No disgusting nicotine odor. Accurate booking in regard of non smoking room. We were staying at the Golden Nuggets an moved after administration booked a non smoking room but were unable to provide it despite health needs. Golden Nugget manager said it is nice to have it request but that the hotel was not mandated to provide it. Meanwhile, they wanted my family to wait if an non smoking room would be available later on.

The rooms are very simple but very clean. For us that's what's important. The staff was a little hard to find when they were needed but they were friendly. I would stay here again when visiting Vegas with my child.

Convenient

We chose this hotel room because some people in our group wanted to check out the strip, while others wanted nothing to do with it. This was a good compromise. It's comfortable, convenient, and just across the freeway from the strip casinos. It didn't disappoint.

Nice for family

Pros: Fuss free and convenient location.
Close to the strip but in a quiet location away from noise and crowds. Right next to highway so it's a good base to get out of LV to visit out of town attractions. Nice big rooms with microwave and mini-refrigerator. Like the cosy reception area. Pleasant experience on shuttle bus to the strip, provided free. Price is reasonable.

Expedia over booked.

Pros: Everything, I had had no issues with this hotel.
Cons: Nothing, pricing is great
Location: Casinos, shops, freeway dog day care.
I have always stayed at the Hollyday Inn Express. I tried to book through the hotel website and stated they were booked for that particular day. So I booked through Expedia.com. Expedia found me two rooms. When I got to hotel, the manager stated there was a problem with one of the rooms requested. One of the rooms were for smoking guest which I did not request. Manager stated Expedia over booked and decided to fullfill reservation by given me a room that smelled really bad cigarette smoke. The manager stated that was the only room with two queen beds. I decided to stay. The manager made it up by given me 5k Priority points.
