“Great for business, but not for leisure”
The hotel was undergoing renovations while we were there, transitioning from a ValuePack to a Howard Johnson, so some of these issues may be moot by the time the renovations are completed.
We were here for work, so it suited our purposes very well. The internet is available both as wired and wireless. They're utilizing Cox internet, and our tests showed 8Mbps down and 1.5Mbps up, so it was more than adequate. It has a little kitchenette with a two-burner stove, sink, full-sized fridge, and a microwave. There are also more power outlets than in most hotel rooms. The TV is an LCD with RGB and HDMI ports, so you can easily plug in your portable equipment to watch your own media. We had to extend our trip another day, and adding another day was quick and straight-forward.
If you're here for leisure, the downsides were somewhat numerous. Most of the amenities you'd normally expect aren't here (iron, ironing board, coffee maker, hair-dryer, closet). All of the lighting is florescent and not dimable, so the lights are either very bright or completely off. The beds are pretty hard.
If you need a place to work, get online, and plug in your equipment, this hotel is great. If you're here to relax and plan to spend a bit of time in your room, you'll probably want to find somewhere else.
