“Best hotel in Vegas”
The hotel is non-smoking, even if the casino area is not. This is a rare find in Las Vegas. The food was very good and reasonably priced at the cafe/coffee shop, but a little close to the casino and its smoke. The pool area is beautiful and fun for older children. We will stay there again!
“Impressive and off the strip”
I really like the JW Marriott, its not on the strip, its very clean and well maintained both inside and out. The food was excellant and the staff was super and our room was well taken care of, but the only complaint that I would have is that we were not allowed to use the main gym area without paying an additional charge. Both my wife and I hit the gym atleast 5 times aweek and we have stayed in many HYATT'S and HILTONS in New Mexico and Arizona and have never had to pay additional fees for usage of their facilities. They sent us to the other side of the hotel to a make shift gym setup on the 2nd floor in 2 connecting hotel rooms to work out. I just feel that usage of their facilities should be included in the room pricing. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.
“My family and I were extremely impressed by this resort hotel off the Vegas strip.”
This hotel is exceptional. It has everything one could want on a vacation. The staff was helpful and personable. I would highly recommend this incredible place.
“What a place”
this is a beautiful hotel and well maintained. Loved the size of the rooms.Felt very luxurious.Would go back in a minuet.
“Love this place”
Our stay was perfect and romantic. It's just what we needed for a quiet get away.
“Not Really a Resort”
Was hoping for something more upscale and high-level of service -- but not what we received. While it is a large property, it is fairly disjointed and offers smoke filled Rampart Casino as the epicenter -- located right outside the "spa". From a service level, at check-in the front desk seemed fairly overwhelmed on a random, non-holiday Thurs night -- and could not accommodate the reservation made through Expedia of 2 queen beds -- and offered the 'customer friendly' explanation of its "in the small print" that apparently whatever room your reserve via Expedia is more of a hope than a reservation. Purchased the breakfast deal through this site (they actually honored that) -- but not really available early morning -- buffett not start until 7 am. Many, many other hotel options in Vegas area -- will go elsewhere next time.
“Nice hotel staff;WIFI not too good;Gym needs help;Too Smokey”
Hotel was very clean, good grounds, nice rooms. Staff was excellent. WIFI was an option (charge per day) and not very good. I had difficulty using my iPad in room even after paying daily fee. Each tower had a separate WIFI system. Gym was not very updated. You could use the “spa” gym which looked better but was also an additional fee per day. Was in the hotel for a conference; Any time I needed to go to/from the room to conference center or restaurants, needed to go through smoke-filled casino. Also could smell smoke at some of the restaurants while eating.
“Wish the conference had been held at J.W. rather than Red Rocks Resort”
I was very disappointed in the fact that they don't have a free shuttle from the airport as the Red Rocks Resort does, as well as a shuttle to the Strip. The housekeeping staff were somewhat surly, but not a big deal. Loved the Irish Pub - ate there every single night - with ALL of Las Vegas to choose from! LOVED the atmosphere of the J.W. - as compared to the garish "Vegas glitz" of the Red Rocks Resort. I have ALREADY recommended the J.W. to friends and colleagues, and I've only been home TWO days!
“Great Place if not so out of the way”
The resort itself was lovely; the grounds were beautiful and the hotel was nice. Staff were very helpful. The resort is well away from the airport and the Las Vegas Strip, however, and it is very expensive to get to/from the airport and expensive and inconvenient to get downtown without having a rental car. A good place if you're looking for a staying put kind of vacation.
“great place to stay”
all the hotels were booked,we found the marriott to be a good find and very pleasant
