Stay and Staff very disappointing

Posted Aug 25, 2014
The hotel is huge and staff very assuming and rude. Hallways are about a quarter of a mile long and not convenient. When voicing concerns, staff seems to care very little. I would never ever stay here again. I have had a much better experience at the Mirage and several other Vegas hotels.

Nice Hotel

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: The atmosphere of the hotel is amazing. You feel happy when you walk to the lobby. Staff and everyone in Vegas are very friendly and helpful
Cons: There should be an area where smoking and non smoking is allowed in the casino for people who don't like the smell of cigarettes.
Location: South of the strip which is the best location
The atmosphere in the hotel is very happy and energetic. The staff are friendly. The hotel is very big.

Left overs

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: On this trip.....nothing.
Cons: Making sure your staff is aware that quality overrides quantity and if it takes them a bit longer to get it right, that they are not penalized for it.
Location: It's Vegas....there's 1 million things to do.
We've all seen the videos of the room service attendant who short cuts all her duties. Well we arrived to our room from a long drive and going to the bathroom was priority number one. After the teenagers bogart the bathroom my turn finally arrives when I look up from the throne, I see panties hanging from the shower rod. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!!! How did you miss that? Just to make sure I ask my daughter to come in and look and she confirms they are not hers. That's just nasty. I called and asked to be moved to another room. What I wanted was to leave the hotel but knew I was stuck there because I booked using Expedia. Highly disappointed.....I typically love this place but I won't return because they've lost my trust.

Everything's expensive

Posted Aug 23, 2014
First time staying in vegas. Rooms don't have coffee pots. Really? The meals are crazy expensive. We found the food court and ate there a couple times. Got the m-life card didn't get any comps but only gambled $100 or so. Went to rainforest cafe. It was good. Found a Mexican restaurant south of hard rock on same side road as mgm. We ate breakfast their both days and enjoyed it. Waitress name Rosie will take great care of you. Good prices too.

Overwhelming and full of smoke

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: The range of facilies and shows and its location. The monorail is great
Cons: The smoke problem
Location: Its next to all the casinos and has the monorail. You can walk straight to New York NewYork
This is an amazing place with facilities that leave you speechless. The whole package of restaurants and bars is amazing. The big negative is THE SMOKE

Not for the Business Traveler!

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: Front desk staff.
Cons: Cleanliness.
Location: Good location and accessibility to Monorail & Tram.
There were no rooms available in the West Tower upon my arrival so I was 'upgraded' to the Grand Tower albeit with two Queen beds in lieu of the previously booked and confirmed King. The carpeting was filthy but even more disturbing was the line up of room service carts in the hallway. I checked in on Sun night and upon check out Tues morning, the same carts were still cluttering the hall with disgusting food remnants. The one bright spot was the friendliness of the front desk staff. Albeit Las Vegas and a casino property, it was SO noisy that sleep was not an option. With so many hotels from which to choose, I will definitely not return to the MGM Grand.
