Nice enough hotel, would recommend for older crowdPosted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: It was very pretty, and clean. The lounge was very nice.
Cons: Lighten up a little bit, it is Vegas :)
The hotel was nice & the staff was nice, we went with a younger group (25-30 years old) and it was a little quiet for us. We were having fun in the room & got a noise complaint within the first 30 minutes :(

Great place to spend a relaxing birthday weekend!Posted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: Convenient location, high quality accommodations, MLife, high value to luxury ratio.
Cons: No smoking in casino? Rooms themselves were great. No complaints at all.
Location: Too much to list. It's Vegas!
Spent the weekend in Las Vegas with my wife and a friend visiting from Brazil. We had a great time with Mandalay Bay as our base camp for exploration. Tried Wolfgang Puck's Lupo, which was fabulous! Light meals in between at Citizen were great. The Raffles Buffet was a bit disappointing but there was a lot to choose from.

I didn't get what I paid forPosted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: I like how clean they kept it.
Cons: I feel they should have been much more willing to be accommodating and feel the room wasn't as nice as described to me and felt the tubs were a joke.
Location: It was a good location and fairly easy to find my way around. The self Parking was to complicated but finally figured out how to do that.
I was upset because I paid for a King size room and paid for a King size room and got two queens. I was upset because they didn't give me any kind of upgrade or discount and feel they could have been much more accommodating than they were! I would not recommend this hotel to others just for the customer service alone. It was clean but you never know if your going to get what you paid for. They later on a day later moved us to the room we paid for but just the hassle was a joke and will not stay there again.

Great Hotel deal in VegasPosted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: The room was very cleaned and comfort. The bed was comfortable. An overall 10 in the room. Very impressed
Cons: Staff need to be more informed on how to guide guests. I don't think it was Security's responsibility to informed me on where to go.
Location: Everything on the strip is close or you can grab a taxi. You are looking to pay around $20 to go from one Hotel to the other.
I must say I was happy with the deal we got through Expedia. For a Saturday stay in Vegas at the Mandalay Bay. It turned out to be our room was at The Hotel at The Mandalay Bay even better. As we were checking in I was never informed verbally that it was at The Hotel and not the Mandalay Bay but the lady at check in guided us and informed us how to make our way through. As we approached The Hotel I got somewhat confused and asked the first staff I saw and he sent us back to the Mandalay Hotel Elevators and said we were in the wrong place. I had my doubts as I informed him we were told it was here. I didn't listen and decided to go on to were I was guided from the lady at check-in. As I came to the Elevators at The Hotel I saw a staff helping guest and I decided to ask him to help us out. He was very loud to let us know we did not belong there. He said to go all the way back to Mandalay Bay because The Hotel was different from the Mandalay Bay. We go back all the way down and see security and decided to ask her. She was confident and mentioned that our room was at The Hotel. We go all the way around again. We lasted a good 30 minutes going back and forth by then I had lost my patience.

resort fee a shamPosted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: Very little traffic as it was at the end of the Vegas strip.
Cons: coffee makers in the room would be a nice touch. an extra fridge where no fees apply for storage
we had to pay a resort fee and there no resort to be in. Although weather was clement, the pools were closed for renovation. So why have to pay the fee ?

Suite at T.H.E. Hotel at Mandalay BayPosted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: The spaciousness, location and amenities
Cons: Better instructions to the registration desk and elevators to our rooms. I also didn't care for the cigarette/air freshener smell.
Location: I liked the shuttle from Mandalay to the Lexor and Excalibur. It was easy to walk along the strip and close the the airport.
We enjoyed the complementary upgrade from a room to a suite. The suite was spacious, clean and comfortable. However, it was hard to initially navigate around the hotel...with minimal help from the staff. After getting settled in our room...we did get enjoy our stay...the resort was spacious with many amenities. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to have a positive Las Vegas experience.
