Anniversary stay

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: The friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: The room was not quite ready for us. It was not swept and the trash removed. The following day the room was clean very well.
Location: We seen the Michael One show - It was amazing! We also went to the Shark Reef which was also very interesting and neat to see.
My husband and I went to Las Vegas for our 22nd wedding anniversary. We choose the Mandalay Bay Hotel because I wanted to see the Michael One show. The hotel was beautiful, the staff very friendly and Concierge very helpful. The Concierge help us locate two of the interests we wanted to see and printed maps and explained the directions and they also helped with setting up tours and shuttle buses for us. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Went back to the room after a long night and there was no running hot water. Only cold, we had to shower in ice cold water. It was very in convenient. First time at mandalay bay and we did not enjoy it.

Cons: It was fine
Location: All the other casinos are in walking distance.
We enjoyed our stay. Staff was helpful and the pool area was lovely and superclean!

Nice hotel with lots of pool options

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: Many pool options and lots too do and see
Location: End of strip near airport. Across street is Mcd's, Liquor, and Pizza
We have been to Vegas many times and that being known, this hotel was very nice! It is located at the end of the strip closest to the airport which makes it a cheap taxi from airport but can be a long walk if you are looking to see the whole strip. We have seen most spots along the strip and knew we would stay around this area this time. Our room was great, nice pool view, great bathroom!! Being a couple in our 30's, we were able to enjoy a lot of different pool areas. Checked out wave pool and lazy river, both mostly for kids. But the other 2 pools were pretty chill and the adults only was a nice get away. As long as guys enter with women into the adults pool whether couples, friends, or strangers, its free:) The pool areas also let you bring in your own food/drinks, so if you are looking to save some cash, that is an option. There is plenty to see and do right at the hotel. We saw a show at the beach which was cool and there are many restaurants, shows, etc. One annoying thing which holds true to any hotel on the strip, is that there is a fee of $25/day which pretty much gets you nothing, but you have to pay it.

View of the strip. 31st floor

Posted Aug 19, 2014
View was amazing. Cleaning staff needs to be more considerate. They knock one time and enter your room while saying "room service!!" They could care less about your privacy. I was forced to meet them at the door in close to nothing at times, because they do not wait for you to confirm if the room is being occupied or not. Other than that... The view of the strip was amazing to see at night and wake up to each morning. Hotel staff was very helpful. JUST BE WARNED.. Anything you touch from the minibar in your room has its individual price associated with it PLUS a $50 "restocking fee" that they will charge you for each item. So a bag of sour patch kids will cost u $54.50. Lol insane right?! But thats Vegas for u. Have fun in Sin City!

The JL Returns

Posted Aug 18, 2014
For our second trip to Vegas, my group and I decided to check out THEhotel(Now the Delano) at Mandalay Bay. The room was insane and have us amazing comfort. The pool facilities were huge but there were a lot of families and kids there, understandably. Overall, the staff was nothing but curious and accommodating. The spa met my expectations and beyond them. I would recommend staying here if you have a large party.

Nice vegas hotel

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Nice stay with the kids, nice hotel on the end of the strip. Some tips-- but be sure your little ones are 48" for the wave pool-- they measure!! Could be disappointing if you don't know beforehand!!! Beware the checkout process-- we waited 2 hours on the phone to speak with someone at the front desk and still never got through!!!

Mandalay is still relevant and has a good Vegas vibe.
