“Love Love Loved it!!”
We got such a great deal on expedia people could not believe what we paid!! Hope we can get the same deal next year!!
“Mandalay Bay was AWFUL :: We will never stay there again”
For the price, I don't think I have ever had a worse hotel experience than Mandalay Bay. Here is the summary: 1. Poor temperature control by the HVAC units (yes, plural) 2. Plumbing noises that woke us in the night (on two different floors) 3. Paper-thin walls 4. Uncomfortable beds and pillows We got there at noon and checked in immediately to a 13th floor "deluxe" room, which was a nice surprise...but the pinnacle of our stay. The room was generally nice, but we learned quickly that appearances were not everything. The thermostat was located directly below the register and the A/C turned off quickly and never cooled the room. That made our night's sleep miserable because it was too warm. The uncomfortable bed did not help either. The mattress was old and the pillows were hard. Additionally, the family next door had some sort of party for their children at midnight and we could hear them screaming. Lastly, the plumbing made loud gurgling noises at random times during the night as others in the hotel used their toilets or showers. All this added up to the worst night of sleep we had endured in a long time. The front desk moved us to a new room that was only slightly better, but all the problems were present. Not even the $50 restaurant credit they gave us made up for two lousy nights in their hotel. Mandalay has a great pool and a nice Conference Center, but staying there is not something we will ever do again.
“Nice place to stay”
This was my first trip to Vegas and the hotel was excellent. Hotel staff all entirely professional. I work for a casino resort in the Midwest and the hotel was much nicer than most casino hotels I've seen in the Midwest. The casino on the other hand was about a 3.5 out of 5. Many staff in casino could care less about your casino experience. Customer service skills need work without question. Went to a couple of nearby casinos and it was even worse so maybe for Vegas MB staff is not as bad as what you get other places. Overall here in the Midwest the dealers are much more friendly and outgoing. Hotel was a great place to stay. Several table games staff were very accommodating but most acted like they just didn't care.
“Love the Mandalay Bay!”
Excellent service and accommodations. All three of us (traveling on business) were upgraded to large luxurious suites. Very comfortable. Great restaurants. Only complaint is that I wish they had bathrobes. I would definitely stay there again.
“Very impressive overall environment”
Anything you need is within the hotel environment. As the tram and walkway connect you to the Luxor, Excalibur, Mandalay casino and shops, convention center, beach area, acquarium and more.
“FABULOUS!”
Attended the LV Rock 'n Roll Marathon 2011 and was THOROUGHLY pleased and impressed with the staff/employees at Mandalay Bay. The start/finish of the race was just outside the Mandalay. When the race was finished, most of the runners walked through the Mandalay to get back to their own hotels. As they passed through, they were dropping trash all along the corridors. It looked AWFUL as we headed to dinner in the hotel. We finished dinner and as we walked the same corridor back to our room, we were totally amazed at the transformation! The corridors were cleared and spotless once again!! The staff quickly and thoroughly cleaned up the mess that had been left by the runners. All other aspects of our stay were just as efficiently handled with courtesy and pleasantness all around. Loved the visit and DO plan to return!
“Very expensive”
The hotel was nice, but very big. Everything was expensive. They charged a $20/day resort fee (not sure what that was) and several people in my party had an honor bar charge on their bill, that had to be removed. One person in our party never got housekeeping service. Overall the hotel was nice, but wouldn't stay there again.
“Love Michael”
Our overall stay was very satifying. The first two nights were somewhat disturbing because of banging of doors in the next room and very load arguing by the guest, but the last 3 nights were very relating when the neigbhor guests left. BUT THAT IS VEGAS! Was surprised at the Resort fees charged at the end, but accept the fees based on the explaination of what they conprised of. One last issue was the overall turmoil that was experienced with the marathon on Sunday night. The mass on humanity was unbelieveable and very difficult to manover with my mother-in-law in a wheel chair and my 6 year old daughter trying to get through after the Sunday event at the Convention Center. But having said this, we were very happy with the overall experience and will definately return to the Mandaly Bay in the future.
“Best View in Vegas”
Great Trip,Award winning Resturants amazing shows.
“Great Hotel.”
Stayed at Mandalay Bay for the 2011 Rock n Roll Marathon. The hotel was great. Our room was actually at THEHotel which is part of Mandalay Bay. The room was very nice. I have to say the bathroom was beautiful and that was they most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The only down side of the stay is that Mandalay Bay is on the far side of the Strip so it was not centrally located to the other casinos. However we chose it because it was the start for the race which was very convenient. Many choices for restaurants and there was some great shops too. I would definitely stay again.
