Pros: The Mandalay Bay is clean and doesn't smell like a smokey casino. The rooms were big and quiet. The resaurants were great! We especially loved Lupo's!
Took a family trip to celebrate our daughter's college graduation.

Nice hotel slightly off the mecca

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: Hotel had much to offer.
Cons: Steam room was part of spa versus stand alone
Location: Busses to Fremont Street and local attractions
Good stay with great shops and restaurants and fine amenities. A coffee maker in room would be appreciated but I understand that's not Vegas custom.

Not worth it.

Pros: Beach area is nice
Cons: service
Rooms were not that great, hard to find help from the staff, its away from the strip so lots of travel to go anywhere. Checkin was a pain.

Nice hotel

Posted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: It had a very nice pool and the rooms were nice. Great bathroom with a large tub to soak in and watch TV too. Very large separate shower.
Cons: Leave space in the frig for personal items. Make people feel like you want them there for more than just their money. Nothing is free in Vegas!!
Location: It is on one end of the strip, so less congested, but it is farther away from things if you are planning on walking anywhere. Bring good shoes!
The hotel was nice and the room very comfortable, good bed and spacious. The only thing I didn't like was it advertised a refrigerator, but it was full of things you had to purchase and did not leave any room to put my own things in, like leftovers, water. I know it's Vegas, but they could be a little more welcoming and less about the money. I like to feel a little more pampered when on vacation.

Very nice but a bit dated

Posted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: Pools
Cons: Room cleanliness
Location: Across from the airport. Tram and walkway to Luxor and Excalibur, but far from everywhere else.
We checked in on Labor Day and stayed for 3 nights, for only $85/night (excl. taxes & resort fee), which is an excellent deal. The beach area was awesome, especially when not crowded. Both the wave pool and lazy river offered plenty of room to stretch out without touching someone else. The room is very nice but a bit dated. Distance from parking lot to elevator a bit far but manageable. I understand there's a food court inside the convention center but that's quite far away. Within the hotel/casino area, Starbuck was the only affordable eatery. Will definitely stay here again if under $100/night. Will consider strongly if within $150/night, but probably not worth more.

Every time I called for something, they were very helpful! I really liked when they asked what is your name. I loved getting called by my first name! I think this is unique!

Best pool scene in Vegas

Posted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Can't think of anything.
I can't say enough good things about the Mandalay Bay Resort. The customer service was outstanding, the rooms were spotless, the pool scene had so many options and we had absolutely zero issues while we were there (which is saying a lot because there were 5 of us). My favorite part had to be the pool/beach area because it was so well maintained and fun for all 5 of us, even though we have different personalities. If you just want to relax away from the Vegas party scene, you can. If you want to party and go topless, you can. If you want to bring the family for PG fun, you can. They have it all! Super impressed! Don't forget to visit Foundation Room or Mix (both on property) for amazing views. Thank you, Mandalay Bay!

What happens in Vegas....

Posted Sep 10, 2014
My husband and I were there for our 25th wedding anniversary and Mandalay Bay does not disappoint in terms of hotel cleanliness, security and overall amenities. Except for the cork screw which we requested that took 1.5 hours to be delivered to our room, overall experience was okay. By the way, the room service manager gifted us with a bottle of wine for all the trouble of waiting for that corkscrew. I would recommend Mandalay to my friends here in Canada because we were happy with the service. Thank you.
