View of the strip. 31st floorPosted Aug 19, 2014
View was amazing. Cleaning staff needs to be more considerate. They knock one time and enter your room while saying "room service!!" They could care less about your privacy. I was forced to meet them at the door in close to nothing at times, because they do not wait for you to confirm if the room is being occupied or not. Other than that... The view of the strip was amazing to see at night and wake up to each morning. Hotel staff was very helpful. JUST BE WARNED.. Anything you touch from the minibar in your room has its individual price associated with it PLUS a $50 "restocking fee" that they will charge you for each item. So a bag of sour patch kids will cost u $54.50. Lol insane right?! But thats Vegas for u. Have fun in Sin City!

The JL ReturnsPosted Aug 18, 2014
For our second trip to Vegas, my group and I decided to check out THEhotel(Now the Delano) at Mandalay Bay. The room was insane and have us amazing comfort. The pool facilities were huge but there were a lot of families and kids there, understandably. Overall, the staff was nothing but curious and accommodating. The spa met my expectations and beyond them. I would recommend staying here if you have a large party.

Nice vegas hotelPosted Aug 18, 2014
Nice stay with the kids, nice hotel on the end of the strip. Some tips-- but be sure your little ones are 48" for the wave pool-- they measure!! Could be disappointing if you don't know beforehand!!! Beware the checkout process-- we waited 2 hours on the phone to speak with someone at the front desk and still never got through!!!

the beach rules - but it is expensive!Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: beach, lazy river, aquarium, room
Cons: PRICE!!! Buffet was like $50 pp and drinks at pool were bad & expensive
We stayed 3 nights on a double queen. Staff was cool, they gave me a really nice room, with a view of the parking lot and the mountain. Pros: friendly staff, the beach, room is awesome, location, aquarium on site. Cons: room/food really expensive, food court is small with few selections, careful with touching anything on the fridge. Bottom line: really liked the beach, but it is expensive!

MandalayPosted Aug 17, 2014
THE Hotel under Mandalay resorts was getting a face lift for their new name Delano this fall. Overall, despite the renovation it was a very pleasant stay. Pros: The room was extremely clean, ample toiletries and new. Staff were extremely accommodating and provided comps for the inconveniences of renovation during our stay. Lots of different pools for kids/families (beach, wave pool, lazy river). Shuttle/tram to adjacent hotels and Las Vegas attractions. Cons: Construction in the main lobby-tight manuevering. Very lengthy check in during 2:30-4:30pm hours... however staff was quick to apologize and offer comps for inconvenience (shark reef passes, spa passes, food credit). Tips: Definitely bring your own water if you want to save $$. If you have kids bring our buy your own floating devices for the lazy river. They charge $25 inside for one tube. Overall it was a very pleasant experience for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids ages 3 and 7). We will definitely return.
