Understated elegance

Posted Aug 26, 2014
I've stayed twice here and wouldn't stay anywhere else. I don't come to Vegas to gamble. Instead, I enjoy the concerts, shopping, resort and spa experience. I only stay at Mandarin Oriental so I can enjoy all those things at a 5 star luxury hotel. Mandarin doesn't have a casino, therefore, it's never crowded and doesn't smell like smoke. The staff is as accommodating as you would find at any 5 star resort.

Very pleasant stay

Pros - Tasteful and elegant decor in our room and throughout the hotel. - Large room with lots of window space for good views - Brilliant room amenities. The bathroom was the best I've seen, the living room was spacious and fully equipped with large TV and sound system, the bedroom also had a TV, as did the bathroom. - With the use of a bedside tablet-like device, guests can control the room temperature, the lighting, the curtains n the TV etc. Cons - You have to take 2 elevators to get to your room, one from the lobby to the 23rd floor, then another separate one to whichever floor your room is on, this got tiring after a while. - I had to wait 30 mins for my room to be ready, even though I arrived after 3pm. - The windows of our room were directly overlooking and level with the hotel pool, which was really disconcerting. We were informed that they were blacken windows and people could not see through, however, that was not entirely true as you could see through at night time if the room's lights were on (9th floor room 51). - The views from the room are not of what most people would call the main strip i.e. Bellagio, Caesars Palace, the

Pros: Concerige service which she gave excellent restaurant recommendation.
Cons: house keeping and front desk
Location: shoppings, shows and restaurants
When you check in to the front desk, the service was horrible and they try to trick you to upgrade to a larger suite with $600.00 per day which I already have the suite which I got from expedia for $600.00 per night. The Concerige was great which is the only bonus from the hotel. Although this is a five or six star hotel, the hotel only give you 1 bath gel and and 1 shampoo for your entire for 5 days. The house keeping will not clean up your room even you ask them to clean it and 4 hours later when you come back the room is still not done.

Asian comfort in Vegas

Posted Aug 22, 2014
There is a conscious at the Mandarin Las Vegas to be of service to their guests. This is embedded in the Mandarin mantra. While it's not fair to compare the Las Vegas Mandarin to their Hong Kong or Bangkok counterparts, they are really trying to live up to customer expectations. I commend them and would stay here again myself.

Oasis

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: Everything! Fine accommodations, fantastic staff, wonderful spa.
Cons: Can't think of anything
Location: Great location. We were able to go on a helicopter, visit other hotels and attractions including concerts because the hotel is well situated.
The hotel is a serene oasis in a highly gregarious city. It is tucked away behind the strip and is QUIET (no casino in the hotel) yet steps away from all the activity. The decor is splendid. There are outdoor swimming pools and tanning areas. The rooms were meticulously cleaned and enhanced with wonderful touches such as orchids and bath salts. All the staff were exceptional. They were professional, attentive and service-oriented. I was impressed with how quickly the staff remembered who we were and greeted us by name. The spa here is fantastic. I highly recommend their treatments, plus you have full day access to a sublime spa! The Mandarin Bar was a pleasant place from which we could observe the city while sipping our lovely cocktails. MOzen was a fine spot for a slightly more casual but still delicious meal. Makes me want to stay at more of their hotels!

Wonderful

The Mandarin Oriental is a wonderful oaisis in the middle of the very busy city of Las Vegas. Perfectly located where access to the hustle and bustle is only a few steps away from the front door of the hotel. But within, the MO is private and tranquil, with very nice and courteous staff. We will definitely stay here on our next visit.

Pure class, just off The Strip

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: Everything!
Location: Plenty of hotels , casinos, shops, restaurants nearby
This is a very classy hotel situated just off The Strip and is non gaming so nice and quiet to return to at the end of a noisy night elsewhere! Rooms are well equipped and very comfortable. Pool area is very nice - more suited to adults than children. Bar/restaurants very good. Spa sounded wonderful but too expensive for us unfortunately. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would love to return to this beautiful hotel.

Best hotel in Vegas

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Been to Vegas 3rd time this year. Stay at different hotels from Cosmopolitan to Aria. Both are good but Mandarin is the best so far. Valet is quick and staff are polite. Don't have to stay at most expensive room but still have good service. Recommend.

Nice hotel next to citi center

Only hotel to charge overnight parking. Usually it's free in Vegas. Pillows were too hard and mattress too soft causing neck pain. Could use more restaurants open till later. Very chic
