So there were lots of interesting reviews for this property and all I have to say is I'm happy I didn't trust them all because this place is a diamond in the rough. We stayed here for Phish at the sphere for 5 nights and while the place is a little dated we were very happy with our stay. Ricky who checked us in was awesome! The bed was super comfortable and the sheets were clean. The room size we had for the price was great and it was a super quick walk to the sphere. While walking around just like in any city just be aware of your surroundings. We walked around all day and night to get to sphere and strip and had a great time. I really don't understand all the bad reviews on this place. If you're on a budget, going to sphere, or just want somewhere convient to stay this is your place.

Located a couple of blocks off the strip, and close to a monorail stop, it’s a nice place to stay away from all the noise and activity, but still close enough to get to all the action. Staff were very friendly and helpful, room clean and beds comfortable.

The Mardi Gras is a get what you pay for kind of spot off the strip. It was really servicable, but there’s solidly no glitz and glam to it. Pool was good, rooms were big, but space.

The Mardi Gras Hotel has a convenient location near the Las Vegas Convention Center and monorail station. Affordable prices. The room feels tired. Bathroom looked faded and the overall cleanliness was quite questionable.

Generally the Mardi Gras was a surprise as it appeared at first like it was old and a bit run down. While the lobby is small and connected to their small casino, the staff was friendly and professional at check in. We were too early but after an hour wait they checked us in before 3pm for a 2 nite stay. The room was on the top/3rd floor at our request but there were elevators available. The room was spacious and clean even though a bit dated. There was a mini kitchen area with only a frig, no micro or coffee maker (that was a disappointment). It was quiet all night as we faced an apartment building, other rooms face the nice pool area (which was being power washed the day we checked in, including walkways!), or a street on the other side. A bar off the lobby also served food but it was very smoky so we took snack food to go and ate in our room. Rm had a couch and coffee table. Hubby bought coffee from the bar/restaurant the next morning and we were happy campers after a decent night's sleep for the reasonable price. Many shopping centers in the area, and hotel was located behind the Winn golf course and casino. We did not try walking to the strip but I believe it was close enough to do so if you are younger and more spry than us. You could watch 'The Sphere' from the hotel entrance, a beautiful building size globe of changing colors and graphics. Only in Las Vegas! All staff encountered were great!

Good hotel. Good service. Good cheap bar food. If you drive into Vegas and want a less expensive option to just chill and lay your head down at night this place this is it. 5- 10 minute drive to the strip. I wouldn’t walk. Not for safety but for distance. People seem to be over dramatic, don’t do anything dumb and you’ll be safe. This area seems chill enough, and comparable to being in any other city. Take normal precautions and you’ll be fine.

when we arrived at the property, we checked into our room and the room was filthy. the plastic covering on the wires to the lights and alarm clock were broken leaving live wire exposed. my friend checked her bed sheets and there was stained blood over the fitted sheet and also on the shower curtain. there were lots of stains on the carpets. they changed rooms for us and this room was slightly more modern and clean but my friend checked her bedding again and there were more bloody stains on one side of the bed. at this point it was late and we had just done a 14hr flight so we left it but it was just an absolutely filthy hotel. suppose you get what you pay for but not really the point when the room is a biohazard. Staff were friendly and the area is pretty quiet, felt safe enough.

The night portier was very nice, accommodating and made sure everything worked out, which I really appreciated as I had some troubles until I arrived at the Hotel. The Hotel itself has everything you need, nice rooms and overall it has a very good price-performance ratio!

It was dark and dingy with poor lighting in the common areas and my room. Casino bathrooms were locked and you were told by a sign where the key was, but not how to get there. The best thing about the property was inexpensive and very tasty food. My best meal was steak and eggs cooked to perfection possibly $5 less expensive than most restaurants.

I've been staying at this property for the last few years as it is really close to the expo hall. This time I had to heat up some food and they would not allow me to go anywhere in the facility (including the break rooms, or restaurants, or any place on the property for that matter) to use a microwave! Property and condition of rooms has also diminished quite bad! I kindly pleaded with the staff to just allow me to use a microwave so I can eat my own food due to dietary restrictions but they refused. Will not be staying at this property moving forward unless there is a change in condition and rules.

My room is in the second floor. I was there Thursday through Monday and the elevator has been broken all those days nobody attempted to fix it. I also got locked out of my room not sure why my key didn’t work lots of homeless surround my last day. I was leaving, and I heard a thump, and it was. Somebody fell down the stairs that have been doing drugs in the hall by the stairs of his foil papers fell on the ground and he look like eating where he was sat scared the heck out of my granddaughter 😖

Not bad for a nice price.Bed was comfortable as was the sofa. Definitely needs new carpet and paint. Best part was the low surcharge compared to Strip hotels. We will definitely stay again, in fact we have two upcoming stays booked.

They charged us $194 for property damage when we didn’t take anything with us and left the hotel as is.. they couldn’t let us check in earlier and left us waiting for 6 hours and the worst service ever!!! Don’t book this hotel they will steal your money!!!

The hotel is just old and run down. We had a non-smoking room, that was just rank with smoke smells. We reserved a double queen bed room, but were only given 1 bed and a couch... and the couch shape was a bit curved, so even my little one had a hard time stretching out. It was only for one night, and I know that you get what you pay for, so buyer beware... you get what you pay for.
