Hotel

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Cons: The bathroom in the rooms.
Location: The location is great its right in the middle of the strip everything is a 5-10min taxi ride away.
The hotel is nice. The rooms could use a double sink in the bathroom. Also the outlet in my room did not work. I had to use the outlet in the bathroom or behind the tv to charge my phone, or to use other electronics.

Hotel Room Review

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: I had never been there before.
Cons: A LOT - remodel rooms, update bathrooms, clean your hallways.
Location: The stay was fun and the location of hotel was good.
Hotel hallways were very dirty and gave the impression of a cheap hotel. Stayed at numerous other hotels on the strip that were much nicer for simliar price. Room lighting was terrible, especially for putting on make-up, and bathrooms seemed 20 years old and dated. Pool music terribly loud that echoed off the entire north side of hotel for all to hear - annoying. I wouldn't stay here again, but at the same time, the stay wasn't a terrible experience.

Birthday Celebration and Relaxation!

Posted Jul 28, 2014
We'll start with cons: 1. There are never enough staff for the check in line. It's about a 20-30 min wait, sometimes more. 2. We had to change rooms twice. (But we had the resort fees taken off the trip so that was ok.) 3. The towels, even though clean, have make up stains on them....not quite what you want to see. 4. Do not get adjoining rooms. Bad idea. 5. Check the drain before you take a shower. Chances are, it's clogged. The pros: 1. The pool area is pretty nice. There are structures all around so tanning can be somewhat difficult, but the wave pool is fun. 2. The Cafe inside the hotel is very good. 3. The Buffett is average, but this was included so we didn't spend any money here. 4. The beds and sheets feel nice and cozy. I like soft, squishy pillows but if you need firm, bring your own. 5. All the employees are very nice and willing to help you. Overall, our trip wasn't too bad. I think we'll be back again :)

Decent hotel, but wouldn't return

Posted Jul 28, 2014
The pool was an energetic, fun place. But, there was absolutely no place to escape the party and just relax for a few minutes. Also, the hotel doesn't offer common courtesies, like a few champagne glasses or even just a wine opener, without a high service charge. Definitely not coming back and will just stay at the Venetian next time.

Nice hotel on the Las Vegas Strip

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: There was a lot to like at the Monte Carlo. The casino atmosphere was pleasant with nice restaurants, bars & gaming. The pools were nice, just small.
Cons: The hotel walls are paper thin. You can hear toilets flushing or showers running from rooms above & beside yours. Also TV noise or people talking.
Location: The Monte Carlo is on the south end of the Strip by the New York New York, MGM Grand, etc. There's tons of restaurants, shops, shows & gambling nearby
Overall this is a nice hotel with good restaurants, bars & gaming tables & machines. The casino atmosphere is pleasant. There could be more spacious pool areas but what they had weren't horrible. Just crowded. This hotel is located close to a lot of other fine hotels, restaurants & activities on the south end of the Strip. It even has a tram on the back end of the hotel to get to the Aria & Bellagio hotels. It's a bit of a haul to walk to, but it serves it's purpose. I don't have a ton of complaints & would probably stay here again. The worst part was the paper thin walls as at night or early morning you could hear folks in rooms above & around you either flush their toilets or run their showers. We had some very rude neighbors next to & across from us on our last morning make an incredible amount of noise in their rooms & in the hallway very early & we could not sleep. There was also construction of a new athletic & theatrical arena behind our hotel & they started working every morning around 6 a.m. making lots of noise. Neither of these last 2 issues were the fault of the Monte Carlo hotel or staff & would not deter me from going back in the future. I would simply bring ear plugs in the future.

Intresting

Posted Jul 27, 2014
First room we found a HUGE cricket. Not just a little feeder cricket it was about 2 inches crawling on my bed. They gave us more free buffet passes and some other comps. Moved us up to a nicer higher room. So in all it was very nice. Thanks Jake!
