Hotel was very nicePosted Apr 16, 2014
Hotel was very nice inside and out... the problem I have with the hotel is the patrons are allowed to smoke in the gambling areas and it is difficult to breath.

Love, love, love New York, New York!Posted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: I like the fact that if my husband decides to stay out later than I can stay awake, I feel comfortable and safe going back to the room by myself,
Cons: The Italian Restaurant, Il Fornaio, is not owned by NY NY. The staff and day manger are rude and make it quite clear they are separate from the hotel.
Location: The location is perfect. You're close to everything, food, shopping, gambling, even not that far from golf.
We've been going to Las Vegas for 10 or more years. We usually visit twice a year to see our son who's in the Air Force. He's stationed in Las Vegas now, before that we always booked 2 rooms, one for us, one for him. We stayed at other hotels the first couple of trips, then we found New York, New York. It's a great hotel. We don't even consider other hotels now, we just book NY, NY. It has every amenity you could ask for. We love Gallaghers, America, New York Pizzeria, Nine Fine Irishmen, the wonderful Italian bakery and coffee shop; you get the picture. The slots are great as are the tables. The bars are varied and there are many to choose from. There are the quiet ones where you can talk, then the loud noisy party bars where you can go and cut loose. The bartender in the upstairs of Nine Fine Irishmen is a great guy. We always enjoy dinner at Gallaghers, incredible food, not just steaks, the seafood and sides are exceptional. All the staff throughout the hotel are warm and always willing to be of service. Even my son recommends NY, NY to friends coming into town and their families.

Great SpotPosted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, atmosphere, location.
Cons: I could win more
Location: Flawless loaction on the end of the strip and is connected to MGM so my walk to the fight was very short and easy.
I love this place! It is on the end of the strip so I took a cab to the other end and walked back to take in all of the strip in one night!

Excellent hotel!Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Location was perfect
Cons: A mini-fridge would be nice.
Hotel staff, the food and the room were all exceptional! Room was clean and comfortable. I expected long lines to check in and out, but was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. The Bell Desk personnel were so helpful and efficient.

Decent hotel at a pretty good pricePosted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: We paid a little more and got the larger room and it was worth it. I stayed in the smaller one last time and it is worth the extra money.
Cons: The layout is a little strange as it follows the shape of the City Scape. You can almost get lost finding your room on the floor.
Location: At the far south end of the strip. Plenty of dining and casino action nearby with the other resorts, but a long walk if you want to see the Strip.
This is the second time we have stayed. It was a pretty good value. The rooms were generously sized. There are some good dining options in the hotel. Not as many dining options as say, the MGM Grand across the street but there are plenty of great dining options withing a 10 minute walk. It is a pretty good walk from the heart of the strip so I would bring your walking shoes.

No which room you want.Posted Apr 15, 2014
Stayed here now 10 times. If you want a higher-end room spend abit more and go for higher priced room. A Lot nicer.

Nice hotel for quick stayPosted Apr 15, 2014
We only had one night to stay but hotel was nice. There were plenty of small restaurants for food choices to please the group. Better than some other hotels with limited choices. Loved America restaurant! Loved the theme and it was done well. Friendly staff too.

Good hotel in a good locationPosted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Very good decor and was in a very good location
Cons: The room needed a more thorough vacuum. Found a few random skittles on the floor... The shower was a bit small too. Anyone over 5'5" would not fit.
Location: Excalibur has the Thunder from Down Under. MGM has some amazing restaurants and shows nearby.
The hotel was very easy to navigate around. It was very close to all the shows and events I was attending. The atmosphere and the decor were fantastic. Very reminiscent of New York. A Nathan's hot dog and an arcade on the entire top floor was pretty awesome too!

A COMMERCIAL EXPERIENCE.Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Very fast and efficient Check-in.
This hotel is nice. Clean and comfortable. But very impersonal, very commercial, as almost everything at Las Vegas. Is intended for large crowds. Well...... is an experience.
