Great for Father/Daughter Spring Break Stay

Posted Apr 16, 2015
Pros: There were a lot of good options were great.
Cons: I would feel more comfortable traveling with my daughter if there was security at the elevators ensuring only registered guests had access.
Location: The location was great for the plans I had with my daughter. It is close to Luxor (Jabbawockeez show), Madalay Bay (aquarium), and Monte Carlo (tram).
I wanted a reasonably prices hotel that my 12 year old daughter would enjoy, and New York - New York fit the bill. The hotel is centrally located to all the activities we had planned: Jabberwockeez at Luxor, the Hershey's, M&M's and Coca Cola shops, the tram to Bellagio to get closer to the Cirque du Soleil Beatles show at the Mirage. and still within walking distance to everything else on the strip. Having a well appointed room, pool, and a ROLLER COASTER on site made it all more special. We liked how the hotel had many excellent food options that didn't break the bank. The Chin Chin breakfast buffet was excellent (Crab Cake Eggs Benedict, Fluffy French Toast, and Crispy Hash Browns). The staff at Urban Tom did an excellent job accommodating my daughter's many food allergies. The hot dog shop was a big hit with my daughter's craving and love of New York hot dog carts! What could be improved? When I was asking the bellman about taxi service to the airport, I asked if I should get downstairs by a certain time, and his response was, "I guess so." We was not very pleasant or helpful. Another interesting tidbit is that the shuttle from the airport to the hotel cost us $18, and the taxi back to the airport only cost us $16 (both prices before tip). I thought a shuttle would be more cost effective, but it really wasn't.

Fun Vegas Stay

Posted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: Plus Side: Plenty to do without leaving the hotel. Close by a lot of the strip. Gaming galore. Fun activities for the kids.
Cons: Down Side: EVERYTHING smells like smoke, even inside the non-smoking rooms. But I'm guessing that's true for every casino in Vegas.
Location: primo location. belagio, mgm grand, excalibur, aria, all nearby, tons of shows, Cirque du Soleil, etc.

What a roller coaster ride

Posted Apr 14, 2015
Pros: walking around the restaurant and casino area
Cons: Noise pollution
After experiencing music by the pool until early morning hours at another hotel I was very clear in asking for a room away from the pool. After checking in from a long trip I laid down for a nap before the evening activities. To my amazement the music was blaring. Needless to say no nap. After a great night on the town we returned to our room AHH! nice no music then the sound came from the bathroom. Yep you guessed it the toilet kept running. No problem shut the door ZZZZ wake up in the morning to a sound unfamiliar to me which was periodic but consistant. After getting up and looking through the window I saw it.. a roller coaster zooming by. Wow! I was really looking forward to staying at this unique hotel but No Mas!

Had a comfortable stay at an incredible hotel. Good central location, the only thing missing was a coffee pot in the room.

Girl's trip to Vegas

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: The price was great, rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is very accommodating. There are plenty of restaurants and sidewalk cafes.
Cons: The light in our bathroom was a little wonky, coming on and off at will. Also the extractor fan in the bathroom wasn't working, not a big deal to us.
Location: For the kids there is a Hershey chocolate store in the hotel and across the street there is a four level M&M store. Plenty of diverse activities.
Our check in was smooth, we required two rooms and the registration clerk was great in accommodating us with rooms across the hall from each other. All the hotel staff was friendly and willing to answer questions.

My experience was okay. Hotel was trying to promote a buffet option that was 50.00 each day and put a hold on my card for $150.00 even though I did not want the buffet. Finally after I checked out it was removed from my card. But everything else was okay.

Nice hotel lots of kids

Posted Apr 13, 2015
In a regular city this hotel is a 5. In Vegas a 3. The pool was mediocre and the hotel seemed like an amusement park. The location was good and there was good restaurants. Overall a nice place, but I prefer something geared towards an older crowd. If you are traveling with kids this is the perfect hotel.
