Posted Sep 18, 2014
Location: good location - close to MGM and places to eat
Room was nice and comfortable. Have stayed there twice now - pizza place is great for a late night snack. wish the casino had a few more tbales game choices and hired a few more friendlier dealers.

Great priced Vegas experience

Posted Sep 18, 2014
Not the friendliest of welcomes but the hotel was everything that is needed when in Vegas. Huge, with loads of food options and walkable to anything needed on the strip. Amazing view from the room over the strip with not too much noise.

Great hotel with something for everyone

Posted Sep 17, 2014
Pros: We paricularly enjoyed the Irish Pub with live music. The restaurants, bars, staff were all top notch. The roller coaster was a blast as well.
Cons: While there is a breakfast buffet at the hotel we did not see a regular dinner buffet. This would have been a bonus.
Location: This hotel is on the south end of the strip and is close to shopping, shows, etc. There is also a convenience store across the street which was great.
My wife and I decided to spend our 25th anniversary in Vegas and we heard about this hotel from a friend. We were totally satisfied with this hotel. From check in to check out we enjoyed every minute.

Clean but small

the rooms are clean but The Room was really small. I asked for a room with a view , I got a view of the roller coaster.

NY style in the desert heat

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: The pubs The gaming The shops The atmosphere
Cons: A buffet restaurant would be a nice option
Location: It's Las Vegas you can do almost anything you can think of within walking distance of the hotel
Unfortunately our hotel experience started on an negative note as the hotel employee who checked in our party of 9, messed up the rooms that we had asked for and when challenged as to why this was became obstinate and rude. Despite this we quickly settled in to absolutely outstanding hotel with so much entertainment on show it actually took a couple of days realise all that was on offer. Great food from at least 6 restaurants and numerous little eateries dotted all over the hotel to keep you full, although there isn't a buffet which is unusual for vegas and a little disappointing as the others we tried at different hotels were excellent value. As the hotel is a representation of New York the bar scene is a big factor and it didn't let us scots down as you could get a drink and good music everywhere and the bar staff and waitresses were brilliant especially after a helpful tip! The gaming on the floor was extensive with plenty of machines and tables to tempt the money from your pockets and as I personally went home a little richer I'm certainly not going to complain! There were also gaming lessons available to anyone who wanted to learn to play or just top up their knowledge. The pool area looked a little small for the sheer size of the hotel but at no time did I see it overloaded or to busy to enjoy the great atmosphere provided by a DJ and the cocktail bar which had a large choice of colourful concoctions to brighten your day. A fantastic hotel for visiting a fantastic city.

Very Nice place

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: Room service was great. I thought the pricing on room service was average.
Cons: Need a buffet for lunch and dinner.
Location: Close to airport lots of shopping
Very Nice Hotel but was still kind of constructions for something so getting into and out of the hotel was inconvience. Hotel room was supposed to be a non-smoking room but smells like cigarettes. Not a smoker so it was a turn off. Staff was nice but not tentative enough to go the extra mile for the customer. Dinning was more limited i guess for a name New York, New York one might expect more food options like a lunch or dinner buffet?

Good value in town

I have stayed there a couple of times. I like the value, does not feel they trying to get your money at every breath as in many places in Vegas... Just saying...

it was a good hotel close to everything, we had a nice view of the mountains. The cabinets for some reason were falling apart. besides that everything else was nice. the beds are super comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and included hair dryer. the room was a bit small but it was cozy so we didn't mind at all. Overall this was a good experience and we would definitely recommend it to other friends and family.

The beds were old and worn, the mattress

Posted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: The casino was nice
Cons: The beds and the pool could be opened later
Location: easy access to Excalibur, mgm, mandalay bay, great spot on the strip and close to the bus service
Overall exp was great except for the beds, felt very worn, and the view from our room was terrible, otherwise everything else was great, staff very friendly and helpful would stay again but request checking out the beds first, lol
