Awful customer service!

Posted Feb 19, 2015
Cons: Customer service and front desk operations in general. They have one person running front desk. The whole check in process is very slow.
Had multiple issues with the front desk staff. From checking in that had a different rate than what I booked for, on Expedia, for not only 1 room but 2 rooms. I honestly think they hope most people don't pay attention to what they are signing for and they get away with this. They told me I needed to call Expedia and have them call the hotel to fix it. They were not helpful and rude about trying to get this handled for me. I had to call Expedia 3 different times, because when Expedia would call the front desk, they would just put them on hold or not answer the phone at all. How do they run a hotel when they don't answer the phone at the front desk? I had to actually leave the dinner I was at with friends to physically walk back to the front desk until they would actually take the call from Expedia. It took over 3 hours for them to get this handled. On top of it, the girl workinf was "overwhelmed and couldn't focus" (although there was no one in the office when I went there the first time) so she was short and rude. When were first checking in, I also saw a guy working the front desk tell a customer that wanted a cab, that he should walk over to the hotel next door and wait in the taxi line because it takes 30 min if he calls one. The customer then said, that's fine I don't mind waiting and don't really want to walk over there. The front desk then told him it would be a waste of his time if he called because the cab probably won't show up.

Total party place - no tv or phones

Posted Feb 17, 2015
I admit I'm older but appreciate a good time. This place was party central every night til 3-5 am and without a tv there was no way to drown out the boom boom bass music. It is very close to Fremont and be aware of $20 resort fee! Even if you don't use anything there. Would recommend to my kids but not me.

It was not guest friendly.

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: Not much. The bathroom was barely large enough to turn around in.
Cons: They need to fix the rooms so the noise is not heard and they need to put phones in the rooms for information.
Location: The location was OK for the strip.
The noise from the patio was terrible. They have a big party on Friday & Saturday night open to the public Our room was on the 5th floor on the side of the hotel that has the all the noise. I am sure they put us there because we went through Expedia.

Downtown Fun!

Posted Feb 12, 2015
Pros: Proximity to Fremont and downtown Vegas, decent price, comfortable.
Cons: I would suggest earplugs if you plan to be there over the weekend.
Location: Great location. Fremont Street Experience, casinos, street performers, live music, Mob Museum, great food, Slotzilla zip line, walkable.
We really loved staying downtown. Fremont area is much more walkable, more to see, not so crowded as the strip, not so expensive. Although we loved the area, it is definitely a party place. I think the weeknights would be much less noisy. Party people continued making noise until 5 am Sunday morning. Could have also done without the leaf blower prior to 8 am Friday morning. Hotel was nicely renovated, comfortable other than noise. Housekeeping staff were very nice. Rooms were not fancy, but comfortable, clean, modern minimalist. Pool and patio area were very clean and inviting. Adjacent Gold Spike was a great bonus. Large, lovely patio area with games and gas fire pits.

Clean & comfortable room; on noisy street, near Fremont activities.
