Really nice & 10 minute walk to the stripPosted Mar 1, 2014
Pros: The size of the room, the full kitchen and the friendly staff.
Location: It's about a 10 minute walk from the strip which we enjoyed after all the bells ans whistles of the strip.
We would stay at this Hotel again. The accommodations and the staff were excellent.

Vegas in FebruaryPosted Feb 28, 2014
Pros: Everything, it had everything we want in a hotel. Our home away from home.
Cons: The furniture could be improved as the items wear.
Location: 3 casinos within a 5 minute walk with lots of resturaunts and about 10 minute walk to the strip. Easy access to this hotel but we would recommend you
We had a very enjoyable stay in Vegas at the Platinum and do every time we stay there. We stayed two weeks and only had one very small hiccup during our stay. With a staff change in the housekeeping we were missed two days in a row for cleaning but the House Keeping manager, Fernando, looked after this and one night when we came back to the room he had some Champange and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us. We found all the staff friendly and willing to help with any of our questions or concerns. This hotel is one smoking with no casino in it but there is the casino next door(less than a 5 minute walk) and the strip is only a little longer a walk. There is a car rental at the casino / hotel kitty corner that we rent from as the Platinum has a free valet service. If you don't like to walk a little this is an option. All the suites are minimum complete one bedroom suites with balconies and full kitchens (we used for breakfast/brunch) that we found worth the extra funds. The hotel has a couple of resturaunts and room service but we never used them. The only downside to staying here as a home away from home was that there was no lazyboy rocker recliner. There were sports teams in for a soccer tournament and we only saw/heard them in the lobby. The free wifi was great as well and we loved the pool as we didn't have to fight anyone for a towel or chair.

Unexpected Bang for the BuckPosted Feb 12, 2014
Pros: The room was incredible - huge, spacious, clean, gorgeous...
The amount of amenities, for the cost of the room, was amazing. Full sized kitchen with all modern appliances...a full sized living room space with gas fireplace and a large balcony with great views of the Vegas night life...a huge bedroom and amazing master bath with Jacuzzi tub and a stand-up full shower...Breakfast was spot on...the hotel folks were wonderful...and valet parking. I was able to walk to the Sands Convention center without any problems. Awesome!

nice suitePosted Feb 8, 2014
Pros: Loved having the kitchen and living room. We were able to spread out our work and papers and computers. We did not feel cramped. The internet was good
Cons: Wish they had self parking.
Location: Close enough to walk to the strip and only a few minutes drive to the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The suite was very nice. The hotel was nice and quiet. We loved not having a casino there. There is no smoking at all. Really loved that the room didn't smell like old stale smoke. The only negatives were that the shower didn't drain very well the first morning we were there. We didn't have a problem with the drain the other days. Room service brought my sandwich and the bacon had been forgotten (it was late, we didn't say anything, so we didn't give them a chance to fix it, our fault). Lastly, I wish they had self parking. The valets were nice and we never had to wait for the car more than a minute or two. It probably would have taken us just as much time to walk to the car. Over 4 days the tips add up and I would have preferred to just park myself. We liked not being on the strip but we were close enough to walk to it.

Pros: the parking was valet parking was very quick, and very cheerful employees. The lobby was very lovely and quiet, get nice get away after a full day.
Cons: the pillows could be replaced, not too comfortable
Location: the location was 2 large blocks off the strip, not a bad walk. not too much to do in this area.
the swimming area was very lovely, we use the Jacuzzi every day

Close to everything and just far enough awayPosted Feb 3, 2014
Cons: faster housekeeping
Location: perfect. Near everything on the Strip.
This hotel is really a time-share unit condo. But it is excellent, with everything you need and spacious rooms. It is walking distance to everything, but just far enough away from the madness to make it comfortable.

unable to check in and lost deposit of apx $190Posted Jan 27, 2014
Pros: don't know couldn't say
Cons: policy as to reservations, deposit and check in
Location: great location close to all strip activities
I reserved a room for my daughter and paid a deposit and the remainder was to be paid at check in. My daughter was denied the room as she did not have a credit card with her name on it nor did her companion who was over 21 years of age whose name the room was booked under. I gave her cash as well as a prepaid american express card to cover the balance and much more. The staff would not accommodate them and also I was not able to get a refund of my deposit so they kept approximately 190 dollars of my money for nothing. I am very upset and will never recommend the platinum and I am not thrilled with Expedia either. I was hoping to give my daughter a great present instead she was sent away and i lost money very unhappy was I. I realize if I had been there with my card myself she would have been accommodated but I was out of town so I tried to arrange this for her to no avail. I just want to alert others so that they may learn from my mistake so as not to loose out like we did. The Platinum looked like a great place to stay its a shame we will never know and Expedia s a great service but I am disillusioned and upset about this endeavor.

Home away from homePosted Jan 27, 2014
Pros: Each one of the staff I encountered were kind and friendly. Having a full kitchen was a treat for drinks and snacks.
Location: The location is perfect as it is close to the strip.
This was a peaceful haven compared to the chaos of the strip hotels.
