Tranquil alternative to a casino hotel

Posted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: Very comfortable beds, quiet nights, great staff, nice pool area, friendly bar.
Cons: Extend wi-fi to rooms. Have planes land & take-off away from hotel (in a perfect world).
Location: Some good restaurants on Paradise & reasonably close to Bellaggio & Caesar's. But car needed unless you are very young & healthy.
Very enjoyable stay. This was our second time at Platinum. We like the proximity to the Strip without all the craziness.

Pros: The room was large
The room was clean, but the kitchen didn't have pots and pans for cooking. Also, some of the staff for valet parking are RUDE! You have to use the valet and they are way to strict.

Hidden treasure

I was very impressed with this hotel. Our princess suite was very clean. Fridge, dishwasher, washer & dryer were very nice to have. If you're looking for a large room a few blocks from the strip this is the place! The walk to Bally's/vegas strip is about 5 minutes on a busy/safe road.

Nice Hotel without the hassle of all the casino's

Posted Mar 21, 2015
Pros: research
Cons: I don't know how to improve.
Location: everything is close to see.
Close to all the attractions. Ellis Island around the corner. The High Roller Farris Wheel less than a half mile away. Everybody at the hotel were very helpful. I would take this hotel over all the others because of the no hassle of a casino down stairs that made this place very quite and no long walks to your room.

GREAT SMOKE-FREE HOTEL IN VEGAS

Posted Mar 20, 2015
Pros: The suites, including the full kitchen. No smelly smoke
Cons: Need to take wine-tasting off the website as we were looking forward to this and it is no longer offered. Service is a little slow during happy hour
Location: Walking distance to the (Bally) Monorail. Several bus stops near by as well. Ellis Island is a must dine for those watching their budgets.
We were in Vegas for our kids Taekwondo Nationals Competition, this was a great place to stay as it is casino and smoke-free (as smoke bothers several of the kids in our group, including one of our own)! Loved having the full kitchen, it allowed us to eat many of our meals (especially breakfasts) in the room & allowed us to bring back any leftovers to eat at a later time in our room. Pool was nice, but a little chilly. AC worked great!

Off the strip comfort

Posted Mar 20, 2015
Pros: Room size, pool, good curtains and air conditioning that wasn't too noisy
Cons: Earlier check in
Some of the good things about this hotel was what it did not have like smoking, long lines at reception, miles of hallways to get to your room and a huge casino floor to cross every time you wanted to get to part of the hotel, room was very large with kitchen and laundry, for a cheap eat go around the corner to Ellis Island, or happy hour bar food at the platinum, there is a bus outside the hotel but we walked the 2 long blocks to the strip, not hard if you like walking or one block to the monorail. Front door staff were really helpful saved us getting ripped off by yet another taxi driver

Condos trying to be a hotel`

Posted Mar 19, 2015
Cons: Room
Location: Good location close to strip. Very close to Ellis Island and Tuscany Casinos
Really great room. Was built to be condos but when market in Vegas crashed switched to a hotel. Elevators were a real mess, 2 of 4 down for stay Had a two day and a one day reservation. Computer killed the room keys in between and took two tries to get it straight.
