A Nice Retreat

Posted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: Everything was enjoyable. Our only issue was we self-parked and had a bit of a walk to register. Buffet was reasonable price & good food.
Cons: We had issues seeing signs to hotel valet.
Location: If weather was cooler, we would have done a hike In the red rock area. We are in Vegas often because of family in Az so this was a nice discovery.
Had to find an afordable place on short notice during a busy time. Chose Red Rock for the location and price that was especially reasonable for a Friday night. An totally enjoyable experience in every way. My daughter and I had a lovely time, enjoyed the Asian restaurant after our show and appreciated that it was open at 1am. Excellent food, in what we tasted and watched the cooks prepare. The next day, between hotels, we were able to enjoy the pool area after check-out. Lovely area to be set in, with our vehicle we easily got to our show on the strip.

Staff and management could be more responsive

Posted Mar 30, 2015
Pros: Pool area was pretty.
Cons: Cleanliness, management's response to issues, shuttle schedule needs to expand to the 24 hour nature of the city.
Location: About 30 minutes from the strip.
We were looking forward to our weekend stay at Red Rock. We had looked at this hotel many times. We looked at the reviews, which were mixed. On the bad reviews, we had hoped the guest had simply had a bad day. That does not seem to be the case. We reserved a non-smoking room, and confirmed that room the day of arrival. We were given a smoking room. The next day, we asked to switch to a non-smoking room. After our return from downtown, we went to our new room. It had not been properly cleaned. In fact, a piece of chewed gum (we have a photo), was on the sink in the bathroom. The light was unplugged, plug draped around the top, and room was very dusty. Went to guest services, with information, and photos, and asked for a manager to review the issue. The gal was very nice, but we NEVER heard from a manager. No call, voice mail, nothing. They charged the full resort fee, did not offer anything for the situation. That was quite disappointing. The shuttle to/from downtown and the airport is a nice touch, but watch the time frames. Comes back at 10 pm and last shuttle from airport is 7 pm. A bit early for Vegas. Not impressed, and rather disappointed. Shocked management simply ignored the issue. Not worth of a 4+ star rating. Casino was also very dirty-full ashtrays and such everywhere. Pool food and drinks were pricey-but we realize it is "resort pricing." We were not the only one with issues. Many people complaining at desk. Would not stay again.

Amenities

Enjoyed the restsurants, pool area and bowling facility. In addition to having so many activities on site, the new Downtown Summerlin really adds something special.

Very suprised

I would definitely come back again. It's a great hotel, and I love that it is outside the Vegas madness but still has the modern flair of a nice hotel. My only complaints would be the room doors SLAM WAY TOO LOUD. It's very disruptive, especially if someone going in and out and you are trying to sleep. And the valet area should have someone at the phones at all times so when you call down for your car the call doesn't keep going to the operator who then transfers you back!! Very annoying! The valet area needs to tighten up in general.

Great service, great amenities and everything you could want in one location so no need to really venture anywhere else. Off the strip but great to be in a full resort style atmosphere.

Great gym, spa and yoga classes. Nice lap pool and plenty of other pools. Close to shopping and restaurants. Will definitely consider this resort again. Great customer service.

Decent hotel. Too far from the strip.

I stayed for a recent conference and found that the hotel was nice but it was too far from everything. The rooms are nice but the bathrooms looks to be a bit dated and the showers were lackluster. The spa is great, the restaurants are mediocre. Simply put, this hotel is just not up to Vegas standards in my opinion.

Great value

Stayed there 3 days for a conference but was also able to take advantage of the pool and the spa. The spa experience was very pleasant. I really love all the amenities in this hotel. Beds were not the most comfortable but I really liked the room size, views, and amenities.

Nice Hotel

Posted Mar 12, 2015
Pros: everything
Cons: add refridgerator, lower prices on mini bar
Location: everything we needed was on Charleston Blvd. restaurants, laundromat, grocery stores all close to hotel.
Room nicer than some suites I've stayed in. Great view overlooking the pool area. Mini bar very expensive.
