The RioPosted Jul 21, 2014
Cons: Check in, and the line to the Carnival buffet were very slow, but there were a lot of people.
Location: It's Vegas! Everything is nearby.
I was impressed with the size and comfort of my room. I had all my meals in the hotel, and enjoyed everything, especially the Hash House A Go Go. The portions there will more than fill you up, and it's too good to stop eating! When I come back to Vegas, this is where I will stay. The price for what I got was unbeatable.

Same hotel - needs face liftPosted Jul 20, 2014
Average overall experience. Unfortunate The Rio has never done any updating both in the rooms and casino. Demographics if customer has changed over the years as well.

Off strip luxuryPosted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: The large room and comfortable beds.
Cons: Having a breakfast buffet.
Location: It was really nice that they offered shuttles to the strip every 30 minutes.
Couldn't believe the large room with a view of the strip from our room. It had two queen beds plus a desk, chair, and sofa not to mention a large tv with console. It also had two sinks one by the bathtub and one on the other side of the door so two people can get ready at a time. The room came with a refrigerator and a Keurig coffee maker. They offered free shuttles to the strip every 30 minutes. Had a great time!!

Nice hotel and view very nicePosted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: The pool area was very nice and had a beach along side pool.
Cons: Walk to the pool area was quite a walk from room. Pool hours were disappointing from 11 am to 6 pm. Being that temps are over 105 during summer.
Location: Shops, restaurants and casinos
First time visit to Vegas. Shops and restaurants are in the hotel which was fun to shop and not have to drive around for parking.

Rio Hotel Las VegasPosted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: It is off the strip however if need be, there is a free shuttle that goes to Harrah's or Paris.
Cons: There should not be mandatory resort fees for the Internet & Gym. The children's pool was colder than the adult pool.
Location: The Palms has a nice movie theater. If you have young children the Excalibur has a great arcade.
Expedia had a great sale on rooms. The gym was well worth using since you pay for it with the mandatory resort fee.

Not a good stay.Posted Jul 18, 2014
Had to wait a half hour to valet the car. Waited an hour in line to check in. Then after driving from Colorado all we wanted to do was take a swim. We get to the pool and its closed at 6pm when it is still 104 outside. They had a security guard tell us to leave the pool area. The next day they said the buffet was open we went down to eat and it was closed. Over all a real bad stay. I won't be returning.
