Bad businesz

Posted Nov 25, 2014
I have never been to a hotel, or anywhere as a matter of fact, that the handicap has to pay for a wheelchair. Then the pet policy exclude cats. It made the visit very inconvenient. Very dissatisfied with the service.

Great Place to stay in Las Vegas

Posted Nov 24, 2014
Pros: Location, Room size and comfort.
Cons: A little bit more polish on the finish...the marble floors nee a bit more care.
I had a one night meeting to attend and needed an affordable place to stay for one night. I have stayed at the Rio in the past and appreciate its location away from the strip. When I saw it on the package offering through Expedia, I took it. The price was right. Their accommodations are outstanding. With a king bed, large working area and very large bath/preparation area, there was more room than I needed. Great room, well finished and comfortable.

room was cold, but clean. Farther from strip but a free shuttle was available every hour. Older decor and facilities.

Check in time is half as long as your stay

Posted Nov 23, 2014
Check in takes way to long! The line was about 30 people long they had TWO CSR's. The place is old and worn at the edges

Nice large room for a good price.

Posted Nov 22, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness and spacious rooms.
Cons: Better pillows and don't charge for the coffee!
Location: Penn and Teller show at the Rio. They offer a great buffet. This hotel is just over the highway from the Vegas Strip, just minutes from Ceasar's.
We have stayed at the Rio a number of times while in Vegas. The rooms are spacious and always clean. I am one who looks at the corners and window sills to check the cleanliness of a hotel. This hotel never disappoints on that point. However, the Rio is beginning to look tired. Carpets are looking old and the pillows are like rocks! They need to be changed. One other point that was very disappointing, was the lack of coffee. They offer Keurig coffee makers in the rooms, but you have to pay for the pods of coffee now!!! Really!? My husband suggested, "there's a Starbucks just off the elevators in the lobby, if you want real coffee." So, I went to Starbucks instead.

Stayed one night at the Rio.

Posted Nov 21, 2014
Stayed one night at the Rio. Booked a king room with late check in. Was offered a handicap king on a pet friendly room. I am allergic to animals, so had to go with a 2 queen room. Lots of space in the room. Good sports book. Nice shops in the hotel. Too far from the strip to walk, must cab it. Decent enough hotel, but a little too far from the strip.

Thanks for your review. We are glad you enjoyed our rooms, our Sports Book and our shops. In regard to our location, we are located approximately one mile from the Strip and people take that walk every day. We also offer a complimentary shuttle to the Strip for those who choose not to walk. We hope to see you again soon.

Clean, Spacious Room

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Pros: Plenty of room, clean. Great food at Carnival and Pho.
Cons: Internet
Location: Close to the Las Vegas Strip so there's plenty of things to do.
Very impress with the size of the rooms at the all-suite Rio. Great selections and real good cooking at the Carnival Buffet. Good food at Pho also. Valet a little too slow during busy hours. Will stay again.

Hotel was okay

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Pros: Convention was there, convienant
Cons: STOP CHARGING FOR EVERYTHING
Location: Location NOT good, surronded by slums
Stayed at this hotel for a convention that was being held there. Rooms clean, staff was GREAT! Room service GREAT! I felt nickled and dimed the whole stay, $13.99 PER DAY for internet access!! Can you believe that?? ALL food was JUST ok, nothing to rave about, but EXPENSIVE, $5.00 for a bottle of water from the vending machine, (Took cab to nearest grocery store to stock up) No more free drinks in casino, but, from what I hear, thats ALL of vegas now (Not sure though) NO ONE WINNING ANYTHING IN CASINO! Stayed most of week, heard NO bells and whistles or cheering AT ALL!

Won't stay there again!!

Posted Nov 18, 2014
Pros: Not much
Cons: Noise level and quality of customer service
When we went to bed just before midnight, we were disturbed by the pounding beat of the music from the Voodoo Lounge. My wife called guest services to ask if we could be moved to a quieter room, and she was told by "Pat" that there are no quieter rooms at the hotel--that all rooms have the same noise problem. She asked if we could try moving anyway, and whether there were any rooms available, and was told that there was no way to check by phone and that we would have to go down to the front desk. My wife asked to be transferred to the front desk, and was told that nothing could be done on the phone, and we would have to hike all the way back downstairs in the middle of the night to check. Horrible service. If what Pat said is true, that all rooms have the same noise problem, I would not recommend staying there if you prefer to sleep without the pounding bass from a nightclub.

Thanks for your review. We are sorry that you were disturbed by the music from our VooDoo Lounge and that we were unable to move you to a quiter room. Rooms in our Ipanema Tower are typically quieter. We hope you will give us another try on a future stay.
