Location: Location is terrific like any strip hotel.
So the Riviera is one of the older hotels on the strip and it completely shows. The finishes are more in kind to a Motel 6 than anything else. But, the beds are comfortable and the room was clean and it was the lowest priced room we could find on the strip.

We stayed here on labor day weekend because everything else on the strip was super expensive. I requested two beds, when we checked in they told me they only had 1 king bed. I asked for a roll away bed and they did not have any available. The check in took along time. We went to our room and there was a "do not disturb sign" and the key did not work. We went back to the front desk and the guy told us we had to wait although I told him we were gonna loose our entertainment reservations. We asked to speak to the manager, she simply did not care. She had an attitude and didn't even apologize. We lost our reservations for that night and our group had to share the bed. The hotel is old and outdated but it's relatively cheaper than other hotels on the strip. Te room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The toilet broke but they sent someone to fix it with in 30 minutes. If you are looking for an inexpensive place to sleep and do not care about the facilities or customer service this place is good.

Cons: Having real glass glasses in the rooms
Location: We walked around, the bus was outside the door
The hotel was fine, the location was fine. I do not like using plastic cups in hotels, but this seems to be standard in most hotels.

Location: Sort of convenient to the strip
This was our first visit to Las Vegas and overall I would say the Rivera is a second class hotel. While we were checking in they tried to convince us to "upgrade" just so we could have a refrigerator in the room and Parking was horrible. We've stayed in Extended Stay locations that were friendlier and much cleaner. We really disliked "hucksters" located in the hotel who constantly were trying to sell you something. We will definitely not visit this hotel again.

Pros: Easily accessible by the RTC, Amazing selection of restaurants,has an Indian restaurant in the food court, ample of ways to get around the city
Cons: The whole check-in experience could've been improved. A little personalization would've been very easy to do.
Location: This is located at the southern end of the strip and the really up-beat shows happen at the northern end. But it was the best bang for the buck.
We had booked a room with 2 king size beds which could accommodate 4 people. I rated the hotel moderately because they had given out this room to someone else. I had called them like 2-3 times a day before giving them our flight details, time of check in and also insisting that they not give out our room. They however chose to ignore our instructions and gave out our room. When we checked in they apologized for the error and immediately upgraded our room. There was one catch though, this had just one king size bed and they rolled one bed in. So the 4 of us had to adjust. I would'nt really mind too much because all of us were very comfortable, however this would be an issue for other folks.

Pros: The room was clean and comfortable. But, I put some drinks in the fridge, came back the next day and, surprise, the fridge wasn't even plugged in!
Cons: I couldn't fit it in 150 characters. I could have stayed down strip more for the same price. I chose the Riviera partly based on it being in 'Casino'
Location: Nothing to do nearby. Everything is a cab ride away. The pool area is empty and depressing.
I had wanted a view of the strip. After paying for an upgrade, the room had a view of a roof and the strip was nowhere in site. I went down to request another room. Got a view of the pool, and the back of Encore. Not really what I was looking for. Would rather have seen Circus Circus instead of rooftops and an empty pool area. The staff was nice, but nothing spectacular. You would think that a place as empty as it the staff would be all smiles and trying to bring people in. I went out to grab a cab, and lo and behold.. NO CABS! How does a strip casino have ZERO cabs waiting. I ended up walking to the Westgate. The valet did say he can call someone though.
