Riviera from a 23yr old perspectivePosted Oct 14, 2014
This place is old school Las Vegas...no glitz or glamour but it's on the strip and easy to get anywhere from. It's a cheaper hotel but the rooms are clean and the service was very nice! Over all, if you're ballin on a budget I would suggest getting a room here. If you're looking for a more glamorous stay riviera isn't the place, but if u are looking for a good place to pregame before you go out and having a hotel you didn't pay a million bucks for that is stil on the strip this place is highly recommended!

Always greatPosted Oct 14, 2014
The Riviera is probably the best hotel on the strip for the value. The Staff is always helpful. They give you a book with $35 In match play and numerous other coupons. The bed is comfy. And room is clean.

Over all...Not badPosted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff. Valet personnel were very nice. The eye contact with the employees. There willingness to make your stay pleasurable.
Cons: Plumbing! Hotel appearance. The elevator doors looked beat up. quieter a/c units. though they did work.
Location: It's Vegas, everything is right there...
I found the staff to be super friendly and they would smile at you. Always offered to help. They also told us there name. Hi, I'm Chris, if I'm not here when you get back, ask for ??? nice touch, that was Valet BTW. One more thing about valet when I called down to have my car brought around. I was told they don't do that that they are super fast to get your car and that they just don't have a staging area to put the car waiting for you to show up, but when I got there, my car was pulled up and stuffed into a little spot. Now how cool was that. they wanted to accommodate. I couldn't check in early(I got there at 11 am), but I get it. Check in time isn't until 4pm. They told me to come back at 1 and I was checked right in. We wanted to pool it anyway, so with or without a room, we pooled it. So that was all ok. They held our bags for us as we valet parked the car. The room was ok also. Just you know.....the same'ol in the shower. Seems the water is at your ankles. It's just that the building is old and you can see that. I probably won't stay there again, not because it wasn't a good and well run place, It's just that there is an abundance of totally nice places to stay at if you want to stay on the strip. So to be fair in saying that, The place is a good place to stay. They did nothing wrong. I also went on a weekend when there was a dog show. So dogs got to stay there. Nothing bad about that. I saw some totally beautiful dogs. Over all ok.

Very nice hotel, clean and fancyPosted Oct 13, 2014
The staff at the door who were supposed to give tourist information were not helpful, didn't tell us anything. Desk staff were great. Beautiful, clean, fancy hotel. No coffee maker in room, the café on site not open and I'm not sure what they served. No free shuttle to 'the strip' so next time I'd try to stay on the strip, but it was a short drive to the strip and every hotel there offers free parking, so it worked well.

Affordable pricingPosted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: The price of the hotel and services.
Cons: Needs some updating and the gym needs a lot of attention
Location: Located very close to the convention center and the strip.
Hotel was clean, but very dated. Service was good, employees were nice. Very reasonable prices for everything. Gym was very small and equipment was old, some machines were not in working order. Other than that, it was reasonably priced.

Stay somewhere elsoPosted Oct 13, 2014
Cons: Wifi, room cleanliness, customer service
Booked this because of the Free Wifi, needed it while on vacation. Most strip hotels charge ridiculous amounts for Wifi and thought why not, try the Riviera. No wifi, called to advise and was basically told tough, will advise our IT department on Monday. I was only staying 1 night and asked if I could change rooms. A quick no and also told that nobody else had claimed bad Wifi almost accusing me of lying. Room was old, outdated and not very clean. Very noisy and just a horrible experience.
