Wedding BellsPosted Apr 23, 2015
Pros: It is on the strip.
Location: We chose this hotel because it was near the Chapel we were getting married at the next day.
Well, it took us 3 hours to check in. Finally we spoke to a manager who did actually upgrade our room. The hotel is pretty run down. They actually charge you per day above and beyond the room rate $17 per day for internet. There are shuttles to and from everywhere but they cost $15 per person to ride. The room was clean the staff pretty rude. We found out they are scheduled to close 2 weeks after or stay so maybe that had something to do with everyone's attitude.

In Vegas for concertsPosted Apr 22, 2015
Pros: Centrally located on the Strip, easy to get to and get out of, and next to my favorite diner, the Peppermill!
Was in town for a couple of concerts, and wanted to stay more central Vegas strip. The Riviera is close enough to many other resorts that they are within walking distance, and right on the bus line to be able to reach Fremont street or further south on the strip with no problems. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and modernly appointed. The steak house is very good and the food is fresh and plentiful. There is a large pool and lounging area, and the hotel offers guest many services, such as a barber and beauty shop,a chapel, tattoo parlor and convienience store. The sad news to report is that after 60 years of service to Vegas, the Riviera is closing in May.

this is like a red roof inn with a casino attached. Location is terrible and facilities smell like an ash tray.
