OK hotel, nice pool - closer to a motel experience

Posted Oct 17, 2014
Pros: Pool, buffet and location.
Cons: Hallways and actual shower/tub combos need the same renovations that the sleeping areas in each room have received.
Location: Across from Hard Rock Casino. Easy access via car to the airport. About a mile to the strip. Close to the Linq and Ellis Island cheap steak/beer combo
I have been to Vegas about 50 times and have stayed at over 20 different hotels. Unfortunately this one would be toward the bottom of the list. The rooms have been renovated, but the bathrooms could still use some work. The beds, carpeting, furniture and vanity/sink area are improved, but the bathroom, is small with old fixtures and poor water pressure. The pool area is much better than expected, and was a very tranquil oasis relative to the musty hallways and local-heavy somewhat smokey casino floor. The buffet was great for the price ($9.99, with a 2-for-1 when you sign up for their player's card) - featuring a nice BBQ spread every Thursday. I ate there twice, and their 24-hour diner is great value for the money. The casino floor is typically slot heavy, but there is are a few tables games (Blackjack etc) and even a couple of 2/4 limit poker tables. A pleasant sportsbook graces one corner of the casino floor. If you have low expectations, then Silver Sevens will fill your needs. If you are looking for anything more than a centrally located motel experience, then you will be left wanting more. ** I had a weird experience where I was forced to check out and re-check in to a different room when I extended my stay through an Expedia booking, despite requesting otherwise at check-in. **

Good value for your money

Posted Oct 16, 2014
Pros: The room was very spacious, clean and quiet. The food was very good and at a very good price.
Cons: Have all non smoking rooms at the same floor, because the hall was stinking of smoke.
Location: Location is so-so, and not many things to do. Las Vegas strip and action is 25 min walk.
We stayed five nights and would do it again. The casino was very busy, and seemed to be used by local people.

Very well priced, close to strip bang 4 buck

The only problem I had was hard pillows. Bring your own.. Other then that you can't beat it for the price. Stayed in the new remodeled rooms for the same price. 24 room service decent price. Mini market inside the hotel.

good price

Pros: price
Cons: remodel bathrooms and fix elevator. Paint and carpet in the halls would do wonders. Make your front desk staff smile
Location: Mortons steak house and a Bahama breeze across the street. It is a long walk to the strip (we did it 1 time)
our room was remodeled all except for the bathroom which is very dated but clean. The king size bed was very comfortable. The room was very large and had a nice view of the pool area. The halls, elevator (scary) and the rest of the building was not as clean and not remodeled. It was stale and dated. But for the price it was a good place to stay considering we rented a car and spent most of our time away from the hotel. We found the front desk staff unfriendly but the security guys were super nice and helpful. We had one breakfast in the buffet and it was ok. We spent a little bit of time in the casino and the wait staff were awesome and quick with drinks. Free shuttle pick up from the airport and back is a rare find and they have it. If you are looking for a clean place to sleep and stay cheap this is the place for it, just no frills.

Wonderful Hotel, Casino & Restaurant.

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: Room was clean and large. Fabulous restaurant on 2nd floor, plus a 24/7 small grocery store. Courtesy transportation provided to/from strip & airport
Cons: Was very pleased with the entire facility and staff.
Location: Was only a few blocks off the strip. Courtesy transportation to/from the strip and airport.
Got a great room rate on Expedia. Room was very clean, large and nicely furnished. Restaurant had a buffet, along with being able to order off a large selection menu, and was superb (had a great prime rib dinner). Needed hair spray and their 24/7 in-house store had some - great benefit. Nice and relaxing pool area. Enjoyed the slots. And with 2 floors of gambling, including Bingo, this should keep everyone happy. The only thing I didn't like, was they froze $100 on my credit card for extras. I had no additional charges and it took a few days for the $100 to be released into my account again.

So much better value than the hotels on the strip

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: The price, the location, the buffet, the little shop stocked souvenirs, toiletries, snacks, electricals, beverages, etc
Cons: Thicker windows maybe, on ground floor the noise of crickets or locusts chirping made it harder to sleep.
Location: 20 min walk to the strip, or bus or free shuttle or drive. Close by are a few stores and bars but I didn't go to those.
I stayed here because needed a hotel with wi-fi buffets, free parking and a low resort fee. Resort fees can sometimes be nearly as much as the room themselves on the strip. The pool area was nice, the rooms a good size, buffet was terrific value for money. And I speak with experience on this; this is my 7th Vegas hotel stay. Easy check-in, staff helpful, decent bars showing all the major sports. Soft water in the bathrooms, decent size bath and shower. The hotel is a good size - you don't feel like just a number but you get comparable service and entertainment compared to some of the resorts. Its about a 20 minute walk or 3 min drive to the strip, airport is not much further and easy to get to as well. All in all a well put together package.

A truly cost effective hotel

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: close to the airport; shuttle provided; friendly helpful staff; good value.
Cons: Food quality
Location: Close to airport, and 10 minutes walk to the strip.
On the whole good experience. Great for budget travelers who care about the essentials, and do not expect a fancy Hotel. We got more than we paid for when you consider a free shuttle and luggage storage.

For what you pay for its worth it. The elevators are a bit slow but he rooms are nice and clean. I didn't like that the free channels were limited but overall worth what you pay for. Good price
