Pros: The many amenities located within the casino.
We enjoyed a movie and bowling all without leaving the casino. It was a great weekend!

Very nice resort away from the Strip

Posted May 4, 2015
Pros: Location, cleanliness, pool and hot tub, variety of things to do inside and out, unique theme (equestrian), nice gift store with reasonable pricing.
Cons: More pillows 😊
Location: Las Vegas strip, Red Rock Canyon, Skydiving, Hoover Dam
Love the location, as we come to Vegas for the hiking at Red Rock Canyon. The pool and hot tub are awesome, everything is exceptionally clean and well maintained. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. There are plenty of dining options, from burgers and buffets to high end steakhouse. With a movie theater and bowling alley, there's more to do than gamble. We took the shuttle to the strip and back so that we didn't have to worry about driving. I recommend this hotel to all my friends, and we will definitely return.

Change of pace

Posted May 2, 2015
This was just a quick stay over before a flight the next morning. But we did indulge in the sports bar before turning in. I found everything to be clean and bright and attractive but all at a less-than-normal-Las Vegas-typically-crazy price. The rooms weren't as posh or elaborate as some on the Strip but still quite comfortable. The bathroom was nicely sized with a separate water closet. We'll stay again on the return trip.

NOT KID FRIENDLY

Posted Apr 29, 2015
Pros: Room
There were a number of children swimming and with the weather being colder a number of parents wanted to take their children in the hot tub. Upon doing so the head lifeguard did not like this and informed all the children and their parents that they could not be in the hot tub. Apparently the hot tub us reserved for drinking alcohol and macking on other adults. The children obviously ruined this vibe by trying to get warm. Yes, let the children freeze so the adults can have a space to act like bafoons. Great policy South Point. Then after the head life guard yelled at all the parents she then went and called security. Another 10 minutes of getting yelled at by security for trying to let the children get warm. Truly is "SIN CITY" and not family friendly at all. It's a sad day when kids get kicked out. Not impressed at all.

Very nice!

Posted Apr 29, 2015
Our room was very clean, modern, and spaceous. It seemed very difficult to get a non smoking room in Las Vegas via Expedia. This was one option where there seem to be a lot of non smoking rooms available. They also had no smoke smell in them. Traveling with two small children, I'm not interested in anything but non smoking. We were traveling through Las Vegas to visit family and the Hoover Dam, so this was a great option for us. The hotel wasn't super large so it didn't feel like it required the miles of walking like other resorts do in Vegas. We got coupons on check in that we used for the breakfast buffet for half price. This was nice and food was good but was cold by the time I was eating it. Also the waitresses were spread too thin and my daughter had to wait about 15 mins or more to get milk for her cereal. The gelato and ice cream were amazing! The hotel was easy to find and easy to travel in and out off. The Valet service was great too!! I would definitely stay here again, don't know if I would necessarily do the buffet again if there was another option.
