Pros: Mostly everything
Cons: Nothing, except for maybe a small market selling simple produce
Location: Location is nice if you want a more secluded area slightly away from the strip. Hotel itself has pretty much everything you need for a short stay.
Very nice stay off strip. Easy to get to the strip taking shuttle bus, but the shuttle bus drivers are not very friendly. One of the female drivers delayed the departure time and tried to put way too many people in the bus and it put other passenger in discomfort.

Great hotel, South of the strip

Posted Jul 3, 2015
Pros: Not too smoky inside, unlike the stench of the major casino/hotels on the strip
Great hotel, great value, better rooms than all of the other run-down hotels in Vegas these days. A little south of town for most people, but they are the easiest hotel to get to off the highway , which more than makes up for the extra distance. Amenities and resort fees are very reasonable, unlike all of the strip hotels, which are getting to be a complete rip-off.

Clean Casino, Close enough to drive to the Strip

Posted Jul 2, 2015
Pros: Spacious room. Coffee shop downstairs where I got breakfast each day
Cons: Be clear about the "resort fee".
Hotel was good for the price, but we had to pay a $14/day "resort fee" that I didn't know about until we got there. Not such a good deal after all. But overall was fine. Room was quite spacious and clean.

stop over in Vegas

Posted Jul 2, 2015
Pros: Clean Quite ,and Fantastic Breakfast ,for 2 @ 7.50 . total.
Cons: Put fridge in room
Location: Close to the strip --4 miles but not to close
Needed a place close to airport that was clean and quite. South Point did it well. --Will return in a week ,because again it fills the bill for my wife and I ,

Oh it was my fault I forgot to leave tips for housekeeping, then we had no fresh new one-off cups... I shouldn't forget I almost decided to pay tips on my last stay ... Wow, reminder , don't forget tips!

Nice resort

Posted Jul 1, 2015
This was a very nice casino resort but unfortunately we had several mishaps that none of the staff apologized for. First of all we were locked out of our room for about 30 minutes because the "brain" of the lock stopped working. We called the front desk and eventually they sent someone out to fix it. No one ever apologized for our inconvenience. The next day the light in the bathroom stop working so I had to shower in the dark. Again I called the front desk and eventually they sent someone out. No one apologized for that either. A few other things booked us but overall we would return and hope that we wouldn't have bad luck again.

Nice hotel

Posted Jul 1, 2015
Pros: Very well maintained lots to do for non-gamblers.
Cons: Buffet
Location: Short ride to strip
I'm a local. My wife and I stayed for one night because our AC at our house was broken. The hotel staff were efficient and pleasant. There is no hassle checking in like the strip hotels. The room was spotless, updated and very comfortable. This was surprising since the hotel is old yet very well maintained. THere are things to do for non-gambling families, bowling, pool, movie theaters, shows etc. the strip is a very short car or shuttle bus. The only negative is the casino is smoked filled as the venting is poor and the food quality at the buffet is poor but cheap.

Bar tenders were no very polite. They could benefit from learning how to provide better consumer care.
