Pros: Nice location, parking was good. Pool area is nice and well maintained.
Cons: More curious staff at check in and in casino area.
Location: Well located as long as you have transportation.
Shower diverter valve was leaking by which gave a week shower. Casino waitresses were very slow getting drinks, and were not friendly. Buffet was not that great

Best Off Strip Hotel
Posted Jan 18, 2013
Pros: Location, Modern Rooms, Great Restaurants, a good feeling place to stay.
Cons: Pool water needed to be heated. Staff needs to care more about handling complaints. They didn't demonstrate any care about my complaint re: pool tmp
Location: Location is about 1 mile from strip (and the Hotel is actually on Las Vegas Blvd (same as the strip). Easy in and out... plenty of parking (free).
I stay this Hotel all the time when I go to Vegas. It is about the best bang for the buck! I don't like staying on the Strip due to the traffic of getting in and out of the hotel. One big dissappointment was the pool temp (of the water). They would not turn up the heat on the pool and it was simply too cold to enjoy. The week I was there the temps were in the low 80's and the night air simply made the pool too cold in the day time. The hotel staff couldn't care less about it and made it clear it wasn't going to change. I heard complaints from others in the elevator also. Too bad the management wouldn't budge on this issue. Otherwise I would have rated them a 5 star.

Pros: Fees are worth it.
Cons: The games inside or the casino;
Location: Location is perfectly situated, just near airport.
Hotel is very clean, tidy and neat. Services is super good and staffs. It has a lot of privileges like food and beverage, I will recommend to others and invite them to join me during my vacations as I selected to be my hotel but don't raise the fees if the over all rating will go to 5 from4.5 Thanks, Nelia

Old, dirty, very unaccommodating room. The pool was inadequate for the weather.

Charged more!
Posted Jan 15, 2013
Hotel charged my account twice for the room instead of just charging me $14 resort fee.

A pretty complete package.

Pros: Shuttle service to locations along The Strip.
Cons: Smoking in the casino - but it wasn't like it used to be.
Location: Easy to find - just off I-15.
The hotel was well-maintained and had any amenity or activity that one could want. I enjoyed wandering down to the arena for the barrel racing. An incredible selection of restaurants (although I was disappointed by the crableg special I had at the oyster bar - but that's what I get for ordering seafood in the dessert).

It has it ALL!

Pros: I loved it has everything inside, I mean if you don't want to get out you can stay inside the hotel and have fun!
Cons: Nothing I can think of
Location: The location if you don't have a car is not good. I think nearby there is nothing relevant, is what is inside the hotel that makes it special.
This was a pleasant surprise. It is far from the center of the Strip but if you have a car you are good. it has great parking, it is a huge hotel, has everything you need, like 10 restaurants, cafes, ice cream shop, etc. I saw a lot of families spending time in the bowling area, at the Bingo or in the theater. Rooms were very spacious, super clean and the bathroom was huge. Elevators really fast. Breakfast buffet was worth it, I really liked the prices, they weren't expensive at all.

Pros: Kid friendly
Cons: I am use to a very soft plush bed. No pillow top mattresses.
Location: Location was fine. Would suggest a rental car.

Never Slept Better

Pros: I enjoyed the gaming and the room.
Cons: Get rid of the resort fee!
Location: Location is good because I was able to easily park my truck in a comfortable, accessible location to the hotel. I didn't have to park off site.
I am a driver and hotels are not high on my list because I never sleep well in one. I have to say, however, I had one of the best nights sleep ever here. The room was beautiful, big and very comfortable. I was not happy about having to pay a resort fee, but despite that I would highly recommend South Point. Oh, and they are trucker friendly. They allowed me to park my truck at the facility unlike the hotel just north of them at the next exit. Thanks for the nice, comfortable atmosphere!
