Great hotel at price. You get more than what you pay for.

decent hotel, great price, first time in Las VegasPosted Apr 19, 2014
Pros: Ease of travel using the bus system.
Cons: The decor was outdated, the shows were not appealing.
Location: We did nothing close by, but the bus stops were very convenient.
The hotel was generally clean, a little dated in the decor, and it was a little ways from the newer casinos, and also a short distance to downtown. However, with the bus stops for the strip and downtown located right at the hotel, it was very convenient for us since we traveled by bus. For the price and the convenience of the bus stops, I would have no issues staying here again.

Stratosphere selectPosted Apr 18, 2014
The stratosphere select room was updated and nice. The pool on the 8th floor was nice and had plenty of chairs. The walls are pretty thin in the rooms so you can hear your neighbors. It would be nice if you could print your boarding passes for free rather than having to pay for internet in the lobby.

unlimited free access to the TowerPosted Apr 18, 2014
Pros: The Tower, the parking, FREE WIRELESS INTERNET, and of course the price
Location: the huge, easy accessible free RV parking which accommodates even 18 wheelers trucks.
we enjoyed the unlimited free access to the Tower. Self parking was easily accessible and never had problem finding a spot. The hotel is fairly quite and the Roxy Restaurant inside the hotel is clean, has good food, friendly staff and above all cheaper than the crowded "I Hope Restaurant" across the road!! We visited the hotel 2 times in the last 2 months and booked for June 2014 as well

Good Option, not expensive, an IconPosted Apr 18, 2014
Pros: Attention, Price, Cleanliness,
Cons: the casino area is really old not attractive....
Location: if you want walk out of the hotel is almost imposible, because is a tiny far from the most popular area of las vegas, you have to take a cab.....
I like the experience that I had in this hotel, good service, clean, and not spensive.... the only thing was a little far for the las vegas Strip...

Great ValuePosted Apr 17, 2014
Pros: I love the view from the 8th floor pool. The restaurants are nice, and I do like to grab a salad or parfait at McDonalds or something at Starbucks.
Cons: For the money, probably not much. It would be great if they re-opened their other, smaller pool which has been closed for some time.
Location: The main downside to the Stratosphere is the area immediately outside it. It's mostly very low-budget hotels, housing, discount stores, fast food, etc
Was my 5th stay at the Strat. Definitely my go-to Vegas hotel. Though nowhere near as lavish as the strip Mega resorts, the Stratosphere is far nicer, newer, and cleaner than many of the more centrally located hotels at a similar price tag. The only downside is that the outside area around it is not the nicest part of the strip. Also, if, like me, you frequent both the new strip and Fremont street, the Stratosphere is a good halfway point between them. The Deuce bus and the SDX Express both stop there, and if you don't mind a little walk, you can catch the Monorail behind the old Sahara (soon to be SLS Las Vegas) and be to most of your favorite Strip mega-resorts in very little time. The Strat has restaurants at all price points, shows, and a nice mall/shopping area. Check in and out have always been very quick for me, something I understand is not always the case at the more prestigious hotels.

I Would Stay Again......Posted Apr 17, 2014
Pros: The Fat Tuesday, McDonald's and shops on the retail floor.
Cons: Staffing. I went for an early check out (8:45 am) and there were only 2 people at registration and there was a line.
This is a very nice hotel. Overall what they offered was great. The only issue I had was that if I printed my boarding pass at the Concierge Desk that was a fee of $5 for the 1st page and $1 for each additional page. I've stayed at other hotels where there was no charge so I was surprised by this. Other than that I would definitely stay again.
