Decent hotel, too far from the action on the strip

Posted Nov 23, 2014
Run of the mill hotel. Clean, well cared for. Lacking mini fridge and coffee maker. I was surprised at how clean it really was. It is pretty far from all the buzz and activity on the strip though. If you're looking for a quiet place to stay, close to shopping, this is your place. But if you're looking to get in on the fun and action on the strip, you'll be paying a fortune in cab fare. Or else your legs and feet will be very tired.

Great place to stay if they would spend some money

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Pros: I like the fact that you can go to the top without any extra charges.
Cons: Most of the staff don't seem to like their jobs. The girls on the elevator to the viewing area didn't look up from there phone.
Location: Don't go for a walk at night... we did, but only once.
Air conditioner was horribly noisy, every 20 minutes it would bang and scare the crap out of us. We went down to the front desk and asked if someone could have a look at it. The girl behind the desk said she would look at getting someone in... did not happen. I also needed to print a couple of show tickets and we had to rent the computer at $7 for 30 min. The computer froze and I had to sit and watch my time go. I went back to the front desk and the girl said sorry and charged me another $2 to print the show tickets for me. Parking is free and plenty of parking available. Could be a great place for kids. This was our first time to Vegas so i really could have used some help finding the different shows. The girl at the front desk really could not bother to give any info so we had to figure everything out, we went to a hotel down the street and the girl there was very helpful and she found us a great show and even helped us get the tickets.

good location, nice view

Pros: location, close access to monorail and deuce bus, the tower is awesome and you get free access.
Cons: Some of the fixtures were showing age. ie, the vanity in my bathroom had a lot of caulking because it had come loose from the wall at some point.
Location: lots of local shops for souvenirs, some small restaurants around and an gun range close by.
I liked the location, close to monorail and deuce stops. 30 minute walk to fashion show mall. I liked the free tower access and the restaurant and lounge up there are great. good selection of shops in the 2nd floor mall. the room was clean and comfortable. some of the fixtures are showing age but it was a great value for the price I got on Expedia. I would definitely stay here again. I'm not a big gambler but it seemed like all the games were represented and the bar at the center had an all-you-can-drink happy hour. good selection of a la carte, sit down and buffet restaurants.

Nice hotel without digging a bing hole in pocket.

Pros: Price.
Cons: Hotel amenities can certainly be improved.
Location: Tower top view was amazing.
The premier room that I booked was a very basic room without any strip view. It was certainly clean, but from inside didn't give the feel of a premier living. I guess I expected a little more. Nevertheless if you want a decent room to crash at night, this might be it.

Would probably stay closer to the strip action if it weren't for it being close to the wedding chapel we used.

Try Somewhere else

On arrival, reception gave us a downgraded room, despite my paying more for an upgrade. Next day after complaining, we were given a standard room with no fridge or coffee maker. We were also charged "Resort Fee" which added $18 per night to our bill which we were not expecting and had no need for. Generally we thought that Housekeeping were more helpful than the Front of House & Casino staff, who were harassing us every time we entered the Hotel.

Clean, inexpensive and modern.

Though the hotel is about 5 miles north of the Luxor , Excalibur & New York New York....it's worth it. There's a city bus stop that's 24/7 right outside the hotel you can take as many times in a 24 hour period that you want for only $8.00. There's also a monorail system within a short walking distance. The hotel has nice restaurants and a nice pool. It also has extreme rides atop the Stratosphere. I would recommend this hotel to all.
