“Dog friendly”

Very nice hotel with good, free food for dinner and breakfast. For a $10 fee we were allowed to have our dog with us. Dog friendly was the main criteria for selecting this hotel.

Area recommendations
This was the only area we saw. It was on the north end of town...not much around the hotel. That was fine with us.

“A Bit Too Noisy”

Overall the hotel was fine. The staff was friendly, check in was easy and the room was clean and comfortable. However, our room was on the first floor, and we heard every foot-step from the floor above. The sound from fellow guests traveled, and it ended up being a noisy stay and night.

“Impressed”

For an older hotel that has apparently recently been remodeled, it was an excellent experience. I was impressed that the hotel had chosen to rip out carpeting and install laminate flooring. Really helped with making the room "smoke free" although the halls reeked of cigarette smoke. Room was quite "roomy". A pleasant surprise were colorful towels: orange and lime green. Only drawback was no elevator and our room was on the second floor.

Area recommendations
The downtown historic plaza was impressive for a town so small. Built around a central town square, it has been well maintained although several building facades still await transformation. Very friendly shop owners and drivers were particularly friendly and courteous: observing speed limits, stopping for pedestrians to cross streets, didn't tailgate at tourists stopping to look at the sights.

“Super 8 Las Vegas, NM”

Nice motel the room was quiet , clean and comfortable. They served a nice business breakfast and a warm bowl of soup at night.

Area recommendations
Old plaza antique shops and historic areas.
