Nice family hotel

Posted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: Fernando was great at the hotel. The other ladies need an attitude check at the front desk.
Cons: The service at the restaurant. It is too slow and you have to wait forever to anything that you ask.
Location: Location was okay. Might want to add another shuttle run to the grocery store when people come in on Saturday.
Had to accept a handicapped room if I wanted a non smoking room or I could pay 70+ a day to upgrade my room. Manager didn't have time to speak with me at check-in which at 6:30 wasn't busy. Closet was basically on the floor since it only used about 1/3 of the height of the closet, counters were lower and no bath tub. Restaurant service was horrible and slow. I think that is why they charge you the 20% gratuity to your check. If they didn't the servers would actually have to work for their tip. For the amount of people that stay their the shuttle was always packed and they didn't have enough room. During the busy times in the morning and at night they should have two that run so people don't have to take a taxi. IF you have a family this would be great for you because the kids overrun everything.

Good hotel but beware of one item

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: The pool and lazy river
Cons: The pull out beds are unacceptable and the service in the restaurant was very poor.
Location: Not really anything other than Denny's within walking distance but shuttle makes 2 stops on the strip
Good hotel would stay again, great for kids. Loved the lazy river and family atmosphere. One word of caution if you are planning on having more than 2 people in a 1 bedroom suite, make other arrangements. The pullout bed can't be slept on. It was springs with a wrap around them, I wouldn't even let my dog sleep on that. It can't even be considered a sleeping option I've never seen a worse mattress. Also wasn't happy with the restaurant. Sat at the bar for 45 minutes with no service so left. Other than those 2 items very much enjoyed the stay and would stay again. The units were very nice and had everything you needed. Shuttle to the strip was handy as well.

Awesome Suites

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: The decor in the suites
Cons: Parking
Location: Location was easy accessible. Close to lots of shopping (Town Square, Outlet malls) and several options for food nearby.
Everything was good except for the parking. Check in took over 20 minutes due to a long wait in line. Then they tried to charge me for the room when I paid on Expedia already. Other than that, suites were huge and felt like home due to all the amenities. We celebrated a birthday party there and it was a great venue for that with the pools, volleyball, etc.

Okay, but........

Posted Jul 19, 2015
Pros: Shuttle service. Lazy river. Low resort fee of $15.
Cons: Check out of 11am. Pool and surrounding area cleaned before opening.
Location: Location was great, quiet and strip easily accessible with the shuttle service offered every 30 minutes. South Premium Outlets a walk away.
First impressions were positive, good service, nice facility, decent rooms. Easy to get around and very kid friendly. The lazy river was awesome!! Shuttle service to the strip was excellent! Down side, the pool was not cleaned daily before opening. My daughter and I went to the pool at 8am when it opened and the dirty towel bins were overflowing, there was garbage lying around the pool area, water soaked Kleenex, wrappers, etc. and the pool water had debris floating on the water surface. The room was on the dark side, could have used more light. No coffee maker, that was a disappointment. Worst thing......I found a cockroach while making up the sofa bed, ugh!! Check out is at 10am, which we thought was too early and we were not able to get a late check out of even 11am!!

Hello, Stacey. We appreciate your generous rating in spite of the issues you raise. It is great to know we made a favorable impression for our service, accommodations and lazy river, and wish it had extended to the pool area. We sanitize the pool water twice a day and are sorry the grounds surrounding it were not up to that standard. Please accept our apology for the unwanted visitor in your guest unit. Our pest control service is typically very effective in keeping bugs at bay. We typically grant late checkouts till 11 a.m., but in summer they can be harder to come by. It is our busy season and our housekeepers have numerous guest units to clean in order to get them ready for the influx of visitors checking in that afternoon. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for choosing Tahiti Village. We hope you will consider us again when you're planning your next visit to Las Vegas.

Good, not great.

Posted Jul 15, 2015
This isn't your typical casino with a bunch of smokers in it. Which is good! We didn't have a rental car. The lack of restaurants on the property was a problem. You could walk for some casual dining, about 10 minutes away, little hard if the weather is 115 degrees. It was extremely crowded on the weekends by the pool. Good happy hour at 17 degrees south. Rooms were nice, we got the 2 bedroom, for 6. Good set up in room. Washer dryer in room, dish washer, steam room in shower was nice and really nice kitchen. The lazy river pool was extremely crowded, to the point that the kids were over it. And there were a TON of drunk parents. There really loud noises coming out of the trees, sounds like cicadas, don't know what that's about. There is a 20 percent gratuity service on everything and it's added in automatically. I would spring for a car next time. Also wouldn't pay that kind of money for a timeshare if you can't use facilities properly.

Hello, Leigh. Thank you for you visit and feedback. We wish we had made a more favorable impression. Tahiti Village has two restaurants on property, 17° South Booze & Bites and Denny's. No need to walk anywhere else! Summer is our busy season, and our popular tropical beach pool and lazy river attraction are filled with our vacation club owners, visitors like yourself and their families. We are pleased you found our spacious guest unit to your liking. As you discovered, our suites come with numerous convenient amenities you won't find in a standard Las Vegas hotel room. Thank you for choosing Tahiti Village. We hope to see you again sometime.

Great place for families.

Very clean and friendly environment. It is close enough to the strip to enjoy but far enough away to keep your kids away from the smutt.
