Great with a few dings

Posted Jul 3, 2015
Great room, fun things to do, Pool was open later than some, lazy river was smaller than expected but so fun...overall it was a nice place! I think I would stay there again because of location and events... BUT keep in mind any hidden charges when you check in, and no mandatory room service daily, staff needs work on customer service; that's huge for me. The cleaning crew was much nicer than the main lobby.... Great experience overall. Will contact hotel manager on customer service for sure!

Kids Loved It!!

Posted Jul 2, 2015
Pros: We loved the beach area and pools. Excellent
Location: The location is great. Away from all the smoke and casinos, but close enough to go and enjoy.
This hotel is nice. Could use a little more cleaning in the hallway, carpet area. Overall the facility was nice. My kids loved the pool, beach, and the food is great.

Great hotel with lots of things for the kids to do

Posted Jun 27, 2015
Pros: pool and lazy river
Cons: put numbers on the buildings
Location: I like the location
I love that the hotel has a lazy river and a large pool! The kids had a blast! The only thing I had a problem with was when I was directed to our hotel they would say "you are in tower two" There are no numbers on any of the buildings to let you know which unit was tower 2. I walked around forever trying to find our room. Other than that everything was great!

Horrible Front Desk; bad 1st impression.

Posted Jun 25, 2015
Pros: Great Facility! Pool hours last all day and late into night. Family Friendly!
Cons: Front Desk. Check in and out times.
Location: Everything you could want to do in Vegas is within minutes. Great Location.
Generally the hotel was very nice. Unfortunately, the first impression wasn't good at all. As I checked in the person helping me told me the room wasn't ready yet and needed my cell number so they could call when it was ready. They already have a late check in time so I was very displeased at this point. After waiting for an hour in the lobby with 3 unhappy kids I checked back with the same front desk person. I told her we had been waiting for an hour and asked how much longer it would be? Her first response was "I actually last talked to you 45mins ago." Extremely upset with her tone she used and that she didn't answer my question. She walked to the back room and 10 secs later our room was ready. How come I didn't get a phone call? Is it normal to have to wait until after 5pm to have your hotel room ready? I've never experienced this before with any other hotels. It just left a sour taste in our mouth the entire trip. Very nice facility but it was difficult to forget about this incident. Extremely disappointed with person representing this company.

great pool and lazy river, however.....

Posted Jun 25, 2015
Pros: Building 5 is nice. Spa was good. lazy river and pool are nice
Cons: The bar at the pool and lazy river did not have working drink machines.
Location: Outlet mall is within walking distance. grocery store is within a couple miles. On site Denny's
building #1 has issues. elevators do not always work. Hot water is hit and miss depending on the room. Appears the property management is not keeping up with up keep of facilities. Cocktails are good but small and expensive. Not happy that 20% gratuity is added automatically.

Great if you love kids and have them!

Posted Jun 18, 2015
I've been to this hotel 3 years ago and it was excellent, I went about the same time of year, early June. It was not too crowded. Maybe it's the time of year you go and the weekend will make a difference. The room was ok. I like hotels with separate bedrooms, but it looked a bit older. The lamps in the room didn't work. There is no extra bedding (ask for a blanket if needed) for the pull out sofa so make sure you ask for some when you check in. The blanket on the bed was not thick so if you get cold easily, bring some. In the sand area, it seemed there were more kids than adults. I think they skipped out and left there kids there. It was a bit crazy. I love the lazy river but that was crowded and crazy too. It was not lazy. I think if you don't mind crowds and will not spend that much time in you room you can check out this place. It is probably better if you have a lot more money too, that way you can ask for a room higher up in the resort so you can have a good view and have a balcony. I said that I would recommend this hotel only because I have kids and the liked playing with the other kids.

Hello, latribegirl. Thank you for returning to Tahiti Village. We are disappointed you didn’t fully enjoy your stay. Summer is our busy season, and the resort is filled with families frolicking in our tropical beach pool and lazy river over the extended school break. Our lifeguards are instructed to monitor behavior and remove anyone whose deliberate actions are infringing on the enjoyment of others. The scenarios you describe happen predominately this time of year, when we have numerous visitors with different usage expectations sharing a confined space. Some people hear the term "lazy river" and imagine a sanctuary where they can enjoy a leisurely float around its eighth-of-a-mile perimeter. It can certainly be that. Others, mostly the adrenaline-charged younger and teenage members of the numerous families who visit us every summer, have a different idea. We are obliged to try to forge a happy medium where everyone can derive individual satisfaction without imposing on others - not always easy. Thank you for choosing Tahiti Village. We hope to see you again sometime soon.

Pros: Pool open till 10
Cons: Room smelt like you tried to cover up a smoker. If I was staying more than 1 night I would have requested a different room.
Location: Nothing - just an overnight stay Traveling from SLC to LA
Enjoy staying here - pool open till 10 PM - A plus if traveling with kids. Our room did smell like a smoker was in it before.

Thank you for visiting Tahiti Village. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and found our extended summer pool hours a bonus. Please accept our apology for any lingering smoke. Occasionally visitors will light up in a non-smoking room and leave the evidence of their misdeed behind for the ensuing occupant. Non-smoking rooms that have been smoked in are given a thorough deep-cleaning, and we are sorry if we overlooked your particular guest unit. Thank you once again for choosing Tahiti Village. We hope you will consider a return visit sometime soon.

Tahiti :(

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: pool
Cons: check in
Check in is at 3:00 p.m. check out at 10:00 a.m. with the cleaning lady making sure I was gone by then. I was there at 4:00 p.m. and was in line for almost 2 hours before I decided to take the family to a movie and them come back to check in. We came back to check in around 10:00p.m. with no line and it still took almost 15 minuets. Everything was clean staff was some what helpful.

Hello, Tiny. Thank you for your visit and feedback. Check-in time here at Tahiti Village is 4 p.m. We apologize for the excessive wait for your room. We are undergoing a guest unit renovation project that resulted in the closure of more than 60 suites and unfortunately coincided with your arrival. We are pleased to know our staff met your expectations for helpful service, and hope you will consider us again.
