Passing through town and easy to get to

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: clean and quiet rooms
Cons: better signage directing travelers to the hotel doors so that you don't walk through the casino forever looking for the check in desk
Location: Seems to be in a rougher neighborhood but if you just get on and off the interstate there should be no problems
Passing through town and very convenient location to the interstate Average hotel with casino, adequate buffet and movie theatre Was clean quiet and comfortable but nothing special and staff were indifferent at check in noticed quite a few families with younger children who seemed to be enjoying themselves Would stay again though

Pros: The room was quiet an clean
Cons: The regisration area.
Location: Dont know we were there to attend a funeral.
The room was clean an quiet no frills.Price was good. Very inconvient check in area, not enough signage as to where to check in or temporary parking during check in. No informaton in the room regarding areas of hotel ( bars, cafes, pool area etc.) Elevaters to room tower to inconvient to check in desk.

Layout very confusing, especially parking

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: Nice rates.
Cons: As stated previously, better parking markers and help
Hotel needs clearer markers for parking etc. They should indicate that parking garage is closer for hotel stay. I parked near what I thought was hotel entrance only to find out it was casino entrance and had to walk a long way in the boiling heat with luggage before I found the right entrance. Another guest informed me on the best parking area! Very nice room, nice accessories.

Ok hotel/casino but not very family friendly

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Security 24/7 at the hotel elevators, restaurants open 24 hours, more kid friendly.
Location: Off the strip, but close to other shopping areas. Wal-Mart is behind hotel. You need a car.
August 18, 2014. Smaller off the beaten track hotel/casino. Rooms were clean, but on the smaller side compared to other Vegas hotels we've stayed in. Our room looked onto a concrete wall about 6 feet away from our window, no view at all even though we were on the top floor (6). Off the strip, so a rental car is needed or you will spend a fortune in cabs, GPS recommended. Parking was easy and free, but park on the registration side or you have to walk through entire casino. Security for the hotel was very lax so at times, anyone could access the elevators to the rooms. Wasn't comfortable leaving the kids alone in the room for this reason. Not kid friendly, my kids are 15 and 12. Pool was small but clean, my kids had fun in it, in late afternoon it's entirely shaded. Pool is at base of hotel, so you don't need to walk through the casino in your swim clothes. Restaurants were on opposite side of the casino from the hotel as was the arcade and movie theater so the kids could not go down to get food or play without us walking them there and back. Bowling alley was at base of the hotel but had to be 21 or have an adult with the them. Buffet was excellent, good selection and price, great staff. Restaurants were not open 24 hours, so limited choices during late evening and mornings. Staff were friendly and helpful, booked a room for 4 but only got 2 towels, was fixed by a note left for the cleaning staff. Overall not a bad experience but we wouldn't stay again.

Texas station

Posted Aug 18, 2014
The staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms were a good size for the price I paid. I was surprised there was a cinema, arcade and bowling alley. Didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel/ casino but the time I did had fun. Ran out of time to try the different places they had to eat. Next visit will try to .. fyi the pizza from the bowling alley is good.

Good movie theatre and bowling are just a couple of things to enjoy with the family. The casino is great for adult entertainment

So Bad That I Left Without Staying

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Texas Station is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. First, be prepared for this hotel to put a $100 hold on your debit card. There is no way of getting out of this. Secondly, get ready for the strangest odor as soon as the elevator doors open in the long hallway of rooms. The room and the entire hotel area smells like Right Guard deodorant from the 1970s. It is a strange and overwhelming aroma, and I have no idea what it is. It not only permeated the hallways of the hotel but the room too. I just couldn't get away from it. Heading down to the casino floor was another disappointment. The place is boring and lacked many activities other than an ocean of the usual slots and a few table games. It just wasn't worth it, so I left without staying.

Close enough

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The staff and of course the location. I didn't want to be on the strip but wanted the option of a short travel to go. This was perfect!
Cons: I would put a comforter in the room as an option in case patrons want to use it. I prefer it. WiFi should be able to connect for more than one device.
Location: I love that Walmart is right there. There were plenty of options that didn't require you to leave the hotel or the hotel area.
The check in was great! The Customer Service Rep was pleasant and very quick. Every employee that I encountered was very pleasant and eager to help. The Oyster bar was an awesome place to eat! We attempted to go to the buffet but after seeing someone step out to blow their nose and not washing or having sanitizer was a wrap me. That was ok because the Oyster bar was a waaayyy better choice. The rooms were clean and well kept. There is no blanket other than the usual under blanket with a sheet under it and on top of it. That was odd for me but figured maybe due to HOT weather this is the switch up. Overall, a great stay. I would do it again.
