Comments on the Cosmopolitan Hotel.

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: The wonderful view.
Cons: Provide tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom.
Location: Visit the hotels, gamble, etc. Get information on things to do from the Hotel.
My husband and I stayed in this hotel for six days; we were attending the wedding of our son. The hotel was very nice, staff were excellent, food very good, bedroom was extremely comfortable; from our bedroom we had a wonderful view of the fountain. The only criticisms we have are: (1) Internet Access was very poor. (2) There were no Tea or Coffee making facilities in the room, even though we had a small kitchenette! (3) We accidently left a bag and my husband's jacket in the Taxi on the night of our arrival and we did not get correct instructions or help in trying to trace these items

Heart of the Strip

Posted Sep 1, 2014
The cosmopolitan is a swanky new hotel/casino placed within the heart of the strip. Its is based opposite Planet Hollywood and next to the Bellagio. It has one of the biggest clubs and pool parties hosted in its outdoor club, Marquee. This is a favourite spot to stay for singletons, families, couples and for business men/women.

Awesome place to stay!

Loved Vegas and our stay at the Cosmo... Great location on the strip. Modern hotel with a good vibe. Took a room with fountain view and upgraded on check in for a reasonable amount to a terrace suite, which was superb. Would recommend.

My new favorite hotel in Las Vegas!

Posted Aug 29, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness and exceptional staff.
Cons: The room was not ready at check-in but they upgraded my room to a suite for the inconvenience. It was a beautiful room and well worth the wait.
Location: Location is central and perfect for shopping, restaurants and people watching.
I was pleasantly surprised by the Cosmopolitan. It definitely lives up to its reputation as one of the classiest places to stay on the Las Vegas strip. Well worth the extra money and the staff is exceptional.

Beautiful hotel

Posted Aug 29, 2014
From the lobby to the Chandelier Bar to the art, the Cosmopolitan hotel is beautifully designed and free of the usual tacky decor that Vegas is known for. Modern, clean and with an urban atmosphere you can spend days exploring inside the hotel. The room was clean, contemporary and roomy; get a room with a terrace if you can, great to see the strip at night. The food options were great I'd recommend breakfast at the Overlook Grill (red velvet waffles) and Holsteins for fun burgers/shakes. I saw a show at the Chelsea inside the hotel and it was fantastic so make sure to see who's playing beforehand. If I come back to Vegas i know where I'm staying again.

Nice view from terrace

Cons: If a guest wishes to extend stay, he/she should be automatically extended without hassle.
Everything was perfect except when i wanted to extend my stay one extra night. The day before i phoned reservations and provided my credit card. They sent me confirmation email. The next evening after being away the whole day, tried to enter room but the key did not work. I tried to get a new key and was told my room was taken by another guest, and they did not know where my belongings were. After almost one hour of stress trying to sort out things, calling lost and found, a manager came over and informed everything was still in the room. The new new guest came in, noticed the room occupied and demanded another room. As you can see they have internal communication problems which resulted in unnecessary distress for a guest. Extending the stay of a guest should be as smooth as charging his/her credit card.

The "Resort Fee"

Posted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: The pool was lively with modern music and changing billboard advertising was interesting while suntanning;the buffet quality of food was excellent
Cons: it should be made clear that the second floor is a preferred crossover floor to the 2 towers
Location: Situated on the "4 corners" of Vegas ,the hotel location was perfect, close to Bellagio,Paris,Planet Hollywood, and Cromwell
I was shocked that Expedia did not tell me about the "resort fee" of $28 per night to cover wi-fi,gym use,or local telephone calling. I realize I booked on-line so I would have had no human contact during the sale process;I also realize belatedly that Expedia noted on the first page of my deal that there is a resort fee of $25 plus tax ($28 total); BUT...this charge should have been included in the total charge as was the tax NOT hidden in small print (most people do not read small print and are only interested in the final price)- to this I object and I am very disappointed and disgusted to say the very least- I did not expect this from a reputable company like Expedia.

Great view but quality is slipping!

Posted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: The view!
Cons: Quality control needs to be ramped back up to where it was when it first opened.
Location: Close to everything!
Quality and cleanliness was much better when The Cosmopolitan first opened and it was owned by a major global bank. I stayed in a 63rd floor Wrap Around Suite with a view of The Strip again but the WOW factor is gone thanks in part to damaged furniture and the lingering smell of smoke in the room. One of the garbage cans was still full from the previous guest. I was very disappointed and will probably go back to staying at The Wynn/Encore the next time I'm in Vegas.
