Great Vegas Hotel with central location on Strip

Posted Sep 16, 2014
Had a great time - went for a girls getaway (5 of us). Bamboo pool was great, casino was nice and clean (didn't notice the smokers as much as other casinos), and the secret pizza place on level 3 was SOOO yummy! The Wicked Spoon was also a really good place for brunch. The coffee place (Va-Bene) was VERY expensive ($24 for a coffee, not great muffin and breakfast sandwich) - should have paid for the buffet again.

Cosmo Terrace Suite

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: New. Beautiful, large room. Clean, nice. Awesome view!
Cons: - No dishes for the full kitchen. Shower runs hot only. Light dimmer switches are on or off only
Location: Great views of Bellagio
Beautiful, large room. Clean, nice. Awesome view! - No dishes (even called and asked) for the full kitchen (weird). - Shower runs hot only, very hard to get it to warm. - Room dimmer switches are awkward and basically all on or all off

Glitzy hotel, disgusting rooms

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: The location is great. Beautiful lobby, common areas etc.
Cons: The cleaning staff need to better trained and care more about their job. Customer service and relations
Location: Go to cleaner hotels that are truly 5 star like the vdara and the mandarin oriental where the quality of the rooms parallel the rest of the hotel(s)
My wife and I arrived September 10 at 11:30pm. Check in was easy. We went up to our room on the 27th floor with a view of the fountains (so far so good), then we turned the lights on and the room was gross. Their was grime all over the bathroom, dirty floors, cigarette hole in curtains. We called down to the front desk, they apologized, and gave us a new room. The room did not have a nice view at all but we were very tired and I just wanted to sleep as I had a course at 7:30am. Well this room was even more disgusting . Huge wet spot on the floor that I stepped in, dirty shower (later found out the drain was also plugged), the sinks and faucets and mirrors were covered in water marks, and other debris and the bed quilts looked as though they had never been washed (hair from the previous thousands of guests all over them) We called down again, they wanted us to make a list of deficiencies! They wanted us to do their job! This type of service is what I would expect of a one star hotel not 5 star. Their solution was to have cleaners come at 1am to clean!!!! What a joke! No regard for people that have spent a good amount of money and travelled all day. The housekeeping manager came by the next day with the cleaners to ensure everything would be taken care of, yet we still found a peanut shell and a screw (which I stepped on!) They were so gracious to give a $150 resort credit which was not even close to atonement for the horrible rooms conditions and poor service.

Snobby Staff

Posted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: The cleaning and pool staff was cool pleasant.
If you want any attention at the front desk, you must look like you have money. They really pay you no attention. You basically have to force them to acknowledge you. The hotel itself is really nice. The atmosphere as far as the people visiting. It's really the place to be.

Nice hotel Centrally located

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: Location is great, view is fantastic to see the Bellagio pool display. Also I can see the traffic before venturing out
Cons: Meal choice at the wicked spoon buffet
Location: Everything is close by. Airport, WallMart. Taking the I15 to downtown, Fry's. Other hotel's buffet for days that I need a change of menu.
I wasn't expecting less from Marriott hotel quality standard, and truly I wasn't disappointed. I met my expectation. Anyway maybe what might need improving is the Wicked spoon buffet located on the 2nd floor of this hotel. After 2 weeks of eating the same set menu, I was becoming sick of it. I cant really place my hand on what is wrong, but just sick of the food.
