Last minute stay.

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: The whole atmosphere was good.. Good restaurants and shops as well. Shuttle top the strip each 1/2 hour..
Cons: Ways to know where the front and side entrances are.. Wandered around lost a few times..
Location: It was off the strip.. Looked a little shady getting there.. But the hotel property was nice..
Last minute trip.. First time in the hotel. It was very nice, clean, big room.. Problem with the A/C the first night, they had it fixed and ready to go in a few hours.. A little far from the strip, but a nice break away.. I would stay again for sure..

Great for families

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: It's huge and has plenty to offer for the family. Lots of inexspensive options for eating.
Cons: I thought the rooms were a little dated, especially the bathrooms, other than that it was a nice economical place to stay.
We enjoyed our stay. With 2 kids ages 8 and 12 it was the best bang for the buck. We went bowling, watched a movie, went to the pool and arcade...the kids had a great time. I enjoyed the casino staff as well, very customer focused and friendly. Lots of options for eating.

5 Star by all but Vegas standards

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: Facillities, Room quality, Value for money
Cons: French Market Buffet is not the best
A comfortable hotel with excellent facillities including a top notch cinema. The rooms are really spacious and are equivalent to many 5 star hotels I have stayed in. There is a shuttle to the strip so the off strip location is not a problem. There is no charge for valet parking and the bell desk. (excepting tips) You really come away feeling you have had excellent value for money.

Another great stay at the Orleans

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Rooms, restaurants, staff and value for money
Cons: Pool a little chilly mid-week
Location: Good location off-Strip but with a free shuttle bus to other Boyd hotels and the Strip itself.
My wife and I have stayed at the Orleans approximately 14 times between 2001 and 2014 and we have always had a great time. Rooms are big and comfortable and this year we were given a free upgrade to a remodelled room which was very nice with more modern decor than older rooms at the hotel (though thaey are acrually fine too). The choice of restaurants is great, our favourite is the Coasta Cantina (formerly called Don Miguel's until a couple of years ago) where there is a great selection of very affordable and delicious Mexican Food and great Margaritas. The pool area and Jacuzzi are both good though this year we missed the palm trees in the island in the centre of the jacuzzi which did provide some useful shade in former years. One small thing which we noticed this year, the slots were not as loose as previously and we found that we didn't get as good a return on our slot play as in previous years but we guess that this is understandable given the economic climate and the Casino's need to make a profit. Overall a great place which we throughly recommend.

Perfect stay

We didn't expect the Orleans to be as perfect as it was. This is the kind of hotel that should be on the strip. Going back next year

Friendly- excellent value.

We upgraded to refurbed room-well worth the $10 a night for this. Great buffet, lovely cocktails at TGI's and 24 hr food court offering great choice. The Mexican restaurant absolutely delicious too. Pool area very nicely landscaped and free iced water a nice touch. Bowling staff very friendly too- we loved this place!
