The hotel staff is totally unattentive. They promised a rollaway bed added to our room. After 7 hours and several calls, still the bed wasn't brought. In addition, the room wasn't cleaned before we arrived. The moment we opened the door, we saw a dirty glass. The pool was large but crowded. A dirty paper plate was floating in the pool. Generally, we had a bad experience in this hotel and we will not be staying there again.

Our kids really enjoyed the arcade and just having so many family-oriented options, i.e. movies, pool, shuttle -- great! We have stayed here before and will again.

Pros: My husband enjoyed the sports book and the cafe was nice. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Cons: The interior of the casino feels a little dark and cluttered.
Location: We didn't go out and about on this stay. Convenient to freeway on and off ramps but the neighborhood is not the best.
The hotel is adequate but the neighborhood is a little scary. Not the fault of the hotel, just an observation.

The Orleans isn't glam or swank, and because of the reasonable room rates there are a lot of families (and their children) afoot. But the customer service is awesome, I felt like a VIG-very important guest! The shuttle to the strip runs like clockwork, completely hassle free! And I got an excellent night's sleep my entire stay--comfy bed, nice and quiet floor! My main suggestions would be, better wine selection in the gift shop, and find out why most of the blackjack dealers are cranky.

Disappointed in the "policy" What about the guest?

Pros: Liked the pillows and beds.
Cons: Better management and letting people have "roll-away" beds, regardless of what type of room they have. Quit "judging" all the time, your no better.
Location: Used the Hotel for your Movie Theater and restaurants. Also for stayed before flying in and out of the airport for the foster kids camping trip.
I had was I had a room with 2 Queen beds, and I am a single foster parent of two boys who are not supposed to sleep together. And after I got to the room I requested a "roll-away" bed for the other child, since I have always done that when we have rented rooms, with the three of us, since the two boys who are not supposed to sleep together. However when I called and asked for the bed, I was told I could not have one because I already have a room with 2 queen beds. Well, I have stayed at close to a 100 hotels, and I'm not kidding, and I have "never" heard of a "policy" where the guest "can't get a "roll-away" bed for the other child, or even another person for that fact. Especially under the circumstances I was under, and didn't know it was their "policy" not to allow me to have one. If I would have known this before I rented the room, I wouldn't have even gotten it and went to the Mirage like I have before, and will next time. But like I said, this had "never" happened to me before when I have taken the kids to any hotel or motel, and requested another bed when I already had 2 queen beds. I don't understand, other than the fact of "GREED", that they wouldn't let me have that extra bed, because they "assumed" I was probably loading up my room with people, so they wouldn't get more rooms rented out. I can't think of any other reason why, since they told me they had enough beds. Shame on them for making it difficult for me and these boys, for no reason at all!

Great off strip hotel

The staff is excellent service with a smile (front desk, housekeeping, waitresses and waiters ) on your next trip to Las Vegas try this hotel you won't be disappointed and for us seniors they have a special day just for us
