“Traveler”

The room was very comfortable but the lighting, in general, was too dim. I really missed having a coffee maker in the room as I prefer to make my own coffee in the morning.

“Careful with Expedia/Venetian Online Deals”

Las Vegas is a great place to go for Thanksgiving - not as crowded, you can get some great Christmas ideas and enjoy the decorations and The Venetian is a beautiful hotel. The biggest headache was trying to use the extra online package deal through Expedia. The Venetian wouldn't honor it (although they were very nice to give us a food/beverage credit on our room). I will also say the hotel check-in lady wasn't super nice when we refused an upgrade and asked about the package. We got the Winter in Venice deal which was to include a spa discount at Canyon Ranch. However, when we tried to use that coupon as well (which the hotel had provided, not Expedia) they said we couldn't use it because we hadn't chosen a "seasonal" massage. When I booked the massage and later confirmed it at the Spa check-in desk, the Spa staff didn't mention any seasonal options or offer them on the phone. There were also no seasonal massages listed on the spa services price list. On the day we left, I happened to see a flyer on the desk in our room that mentioned in one of the articles about a "seasonal" massage, but of course it was too late. So read the fine print and buyer beware when you book these packages.

“Third stay, still love the bathroom!!”

Love the bathrooms in the suites. I can keep my make up on the vanity. Plenty of room to primp and pamper myself before going out for the evening.

When to go

Lagesse Stadium is the place to be on a Sunday during football season.

“Smokey Hallways & Room”

Unfortunately the 9th floor hallways are quite smokey. I realize it's Vegas, but a non-smoking room - should not end up being filled with the essence of a pack of cigarettes. The smell was very noticeable on Saturday night. Both of us had a sore throat in the morning - not exactly the best preparation for a marathon. Poor ventilation and air circulation, at least on the 9th floor, in the wing we stayed in. I would not recommend the hotel based on my experience; however, the 4th floor near the spa area appeared to have better air quality - if that is a concern for you. The room decor is a bit dated, tattered, no bathroom fan. The hotel shopping area, restaruants and housekeeping services were good. Beds were comfortable and room was large. All amenities were available. The smoke inhalation killed the experience for us.

Area recommendations

The area where the Venetian is located is good if you want a central location on the Las Vegas Strip.

“I had a Wonderful Stay at the Venetian, I would definately return!”

I was in Las Vegas for my sons Wedding...I made all arrangements through Expedia and everything went smoothly. The Venetian was beautiful...and you never have to leave the hotel if you dont want to....Restaurants, Shopping,Entertainment, Nite Life, Casinos are all Here! I would definately Return to the Venetian.

Area recommendations

The Wedding was at the Valley of Fire State Park....if you are in the neighborhood...it is Breathtaking!
