Very Nice

Very nice hotel! A nice escape from the craziness of the Strip. The staff was exceptionally accommodating and the facilities are very nice. I would definitely stay here again if back in the area.

New favorite place to vacation!

Posted Mar 28, 2015
Location: The hotel was about a 1/2 hour from the strip which is exactly what we wanted. We wanted warm weather and great pools away from the crowds.
We were looking for a place where we could spend some time with our two grown daughters and escape the craziness of daily life. We stayed for three nights and our expectations were beyond exceeded. Our beds were soft with 2 pillows each to pick our favorite. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. I loved that we were able to use the kayaks for free and didn't feel nickel and dimed. We sat by the fires at night and watched the sun rise with coffee and the best blueberry scone I have ever eaten in my life. I can't wait to go back.

Beautiful setting but...

Posted Mar 27, 2015
This hotel is beautiful on the outside and the beds were very comfortable. However, the carpet on my room was disgusting. And there was dog poop in the children's play area. The staff was very indifferent. It seemed like they just didn't care. The food was mediocre at best and the service was very slow. The entrance to the hotel and the outside sitting areas by the fire were awesome. I wish there was a trail around the lake for walking. Also, the $15 valet charge is ridiculous.

Short Break

Posted Mar 26, 2015
Pros: Location, View, setting, amenities, quiet respite.
Cons: Only 1 on site restaurant on Sunday's; pool closes too early in evening, no outdoor dining opportunities.
Location: We chose to just relax, but golf, bike riding, kyaking, shopping, hiking, etc. readily available. All the amenities of Las Vegas only a short drive.
Lovely hotel, beautiful setting and community, GREAT to be out of the typical Las Vegas hype.

Nice, but not worth the distance from the strip.

Posted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: Pretty setting, fashionable and comfortable.
Cons: Shampoo in the room would have been nice - simply forgotten I suspect by the maid service, but I did not discover it until in the shower.
Location: Nothing to do nearby, but they had lots of lake things - kayaks, boats, etc. but all at additonal cost. Golf and tennis again at cost Pool was nice
After spending a couple of days in Death Valley (fabulous and amazing), spent the night at Lake Las Vegas because we wanted to see what it was like. Not worth the distance and the price as could stay in one of the strip hotels at a better deal. Room did not have any shampoo. Although they say you get two complementary waters, only one was in the room. Room service comes with ridiculous add on fees for using the service. Had breakfast in the hotel cafe and had a good eggs Benedict, but the potatoes were not cooked through and had no flavor. Also, was the worst plating I've ever seen -- a white plate, very pale Hollandaise sauce and pale potatoes without any garnish to bring color or even a bit of fruit on the plate. Boring and disappointing from a high-end hotel. A major plus, however, was the bottomless fresh-squeezed orange juice. Pool was nice (excellent bloody mary); did not get to their beach area which looked nice from above. Lots of activity choices but all with a price. Would never go back.

Good choice lovely place

Posted Mar 22, 2015
We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is lovely, staff friendly very clean. Slight town side we never saw the concierge in 6 days would have been nice to ask questions. Internet connection poor and we didn't get info on hotel amenities like pool hours, where the gym was resto hours... We had to ask every time. Plenty of parking, beautiful gardens, great pools (one heated!) nice jacuzzi. Quiet rooms, food good would recommend!

We enjoyed our stay here. It is in a quiet location where there are not a lot of extra activities without travel but it worked fine for us. The hotel has pools, spa, kayaks, and relaxing atmosphere.

HOTEL spared no expense comfort and tranquility!

Posted Mar 21, 2015
Pros: The area is remarkable, as is the view from the terrace out back. The associates employed there were friendly, and knowledgeable.
Cons: The photos on the website led me to believe that I could gain access to the lake right from the back of the hotel, however that was not the case.
Location: There were kayaks for use, and swimming pools, and a hot tub, and several cabanas. The resort sits on a golf course.
We arrived in the dark , and saw only the lights on Lake Las Vegas, the fireplace and Big Comfy chairs, yet we were too tired to enjoy. We retired to our room, and stepped out on the patio, gazing out at the lights, while being blessed by a warm evening breeze! Smiling,we stepped in ,ordered room service, and enjoyed a late night snack, soon after falling into a deep sleep in the sumptuous beds and bedding....Upon waking , the sun broke through the crack of space allowed by the drapes, inviting us to arise and enjoy the vitamin D awaiting our arrival into the day! Basking in the warm sunlight, we had not truly experienced all winter, I quickly reddened, and was reminded that my skin was only too susceptible to burning, thus chasing me to the shade. We strolled down the blvd in front of the resort, then returned for a dip in the two pools, one cool, one warm, also managing to lounge in the generous sized chairs around the pools for a time, before walking on the small white sand beach, watching ducks play!

Nice hotel with great water fun!

Posted Mar 20, 2015
The hotel lobby is inviting with it's large windows and open view. The reservation desk and staff were great. The rooms are nice, clean and roomy. There are also two restaurants located right inside the hotel. The best part of this hotel are the two large pools and Lake Las Vegas conveniently located right out the back with many lawn chairs for sunning and private cabanas with couches if you want to get out of the sun. They also provided free kayak rentals for those that wanted to be a little adventurous. It was a very fun, relaxing trip for a girls' weekend.
