Not what I expected from a remodeled hotel.

Posted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: Food was good. Rent car from hotel.
Cons: Smoking rooms with the smell. And plumbing
Location: Easy access to MGM and food court and shopping.
Staff was great. Arrived before check and they were able to get us in our rooms. We requested a smoking room.... Now yes I smoke. But never have I ever walked into a smoking room and could smell a musty, smoky smell the minute I walked in. Second concern was our bathroom toilet either barely flushed or didn't flush at all. This was not just a 1 room thing. We were there for a wedding. 9 others rooms of family and friends had the same issue. Third, the walk to get to anything in the hotel was a 5 minute walk. We took the elevator from the 18th floor, to the main floor where the casinos and restaurants where. From there u walked a hallway for 3-4 minutes before you get anywhere. They have a gorgeous pool area, but literally only a quarter of it was open. They claim they pay $200 of lost $$ gambling.... You spend $100 and lose it, they give u a card for $100. I spent and lost $120. They tried to give me .74. The deal is $100 this month and $100 next month. This is the last time I will stay here.

This hotel doesn't make it easy to enjoy yourself.

I'll start by saying the hotel is clean and comfortable enough and Bacio and Beach Cafe are wonderful. This was just a basic hotel room and they charge a 25 dollar resort fee per day promising use of their pool, wifi and some other things you either would never use or expect in a normal room fee. Then only half the pool is open, they run out of chairs, they can't make the drinks you want and you aren't allowed to bring in your morning coffee that you buy in their hotel. Wifi doesn't work anywhere but the room and that was hit and miss. The front desk checkin is quick but no information is given and you don't feel very welcomed. Thankfully the concierge was great. The casino was fine and the drink person came around regularly.

Nice hotel, great pool

Posted Mar 30, 2015
Pros: The pool was our favorite part.
Cons: I would like it if they would add curtains to the windows. The shutters, while nice, do not block out enough light at night.
Location: Great access to the strip and airport.
The hotel location was great, easy access from the airport and to the strip. The casino was very bright and welcoming and always smelled great.

Clean comfortable rooms. Loved the Tropicana Perk Club Card.Lost $$ first day gambling.Played with points last day in Vegas and won $$ back I lost plus $100.00 winning. Smart program as I may return after 1 month but before 1 years time to play on the house again.

Nice hotel with good food

Posted Mar 29, 2015
Pros: Large room Good food in the Beach cafe
Cons: Fridge in all the rooms
Location: Good location near other hotels. It is next to the MGM so you can get the monorail if you don't fancy all the bridges.
We chose to stay here as it was a good price for a Hilton hotel. When we arrived we were upgraded as part of the nectar VIP package and we were given a large king size room with views of the Luxor and Excalibur. The room was very bright and airy and nicely decorated. We ate breakfast in the Beach cafe and it had a really good choice. This hotel has less shops and dining options than some of the others but I thought the interior was a bit nicer. Tropicana is situated next to the MGM so you can get the Monorail up the strip if you don't fancy walking it.

Pros: beautiful pool setting....too bad some of it was closed....not sure why...???
Cons: the deli type coffee shop (South Beach) closed too early....sometimes you need a snack a bit later....including the night we checked in
Location: close to everything on the strip...even the local transit
THe hotel was excellent...clean and comfy....our room was on the airport side....so kinda noisey!! We had a great time in Vegas....and the illusion show at the hotel was amazing!!

OK Hotel..close to a bus stop.

Posted Mar 28, 2015
Pros: Staff are very friendly and helpful. Casino is nice. Short drive from and to the airport.
Cons: Restaurants aren't that good. The tub in the room could have been cleaner. Don't bother getting the "Comp Card" waste of time
We stayed 4 nights in March and we had a good time.

Close to strip

Posted Mar 28, 2015
Pros: Location was decent. Bus stop right out front will take you all the way to Freemont and back. Windows can be opened in our room.
Cons: Bar wenches need replacing! Coffee maker in the room! Eighties carpet in the hall very outdated look. Hotel room very plain Jane compared to mgm.
Location: Location is great, nice casinos on each corner. Bus out front.
No coffee maker in the room........major let down lol. If your playing slots, forget about being served anything! Bar wench must've gone by me 40 times! wifi did not work at all! Only wifi you could get is if you paid 10$/day, blatant rip off when it's supposed to be included with the resort fee they nail you with!
