Romantic Getaway FailPosted Jul 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
I did not find the room to be very clean, there were long black hairs all over the room from the desk to the bathroom. The toilet paper holder was missing and never replaced and it was hit or miss if the contents of the toilet were going to flush or not. I feel that for what I paid for the room it should have been cleaner and a bit nicer. However we did have a lovely view of the parking lot, not the romantic getaway I was hoping for.

Nothing SpecialPosted Jul 23, 2013
Pros: 2 for 1 Laugh Factory
Cons: Tiny shower
Location: End of strip; we enjoyed walking everywhere so location was fine.
It was okay; I can't think of anything exceptional. The room was clean, although the bath faucet and shower head looked like they hadn't ever been washed. The shower is also quite low. I would say it could accommodate someone 5'7" MAX. I'm 5'10" and had to crouch down or lean back to get my hair wet. No deals or upgrades offered, even though I was told the hotel was at low capacity. Also you can't bring your own drinks to the pool and drinks from their poolside bar were expensive. Overall my experience was neutral. Probably won't stay here again.

Returning Tropicana guests unhappy with HiltonPosted Jul 23, 2013
Pros: Large room and comfy beds. Windows open for fresh air.
Cons: Poor service from many areas of the hotel.
Location: Perfect location! Loved being close enough to walk down to the Ross store for shopping.
Wehave previously stayed at this hotel. In the past the hotel service has always exceeded our expectations. This trip was a disappointment from when we first checked into the hotel. 45 minutes to check in only to find the room I booked wasnt available and downgraded our room. Club tower room was dirty, had music blaring from pool. Had to change plans the next day to check in at desk at noon get into new room. Paid $10 day for coffee pot which was put in our room in a plastic bag and never supplied the proper amount of water or coffee daily. We used to eat at the deli which was 24 hours, everytime we went there they were closed. I wanted to use my comp credits to apply to room charges before we checked out. 3 staff members unable to figure how to do this. Took us an hour to do as there was a huge line up again at midnight. Hilton Honor line unable to help us. Told they couldnt look up our number by name, phone number or from the email received from Hilton. We appreciated the previous "no resort fee" and found the 19.99 resort fee too high for the lower service we received from the Hilton owed hotel. Service quality was much higher before Hilton took over this hotel.

Nice stayPosted Jul 22, 2013
Pros: Size, staff, rooms.
Cons: More restaurants.
Location: Close to all the major casinos.
Nice pool, clean rooms, helpful staff. Received a room upgrade because the check-in line was long with only 1 person at the counter. Easy to get around. Would recommend a few more restaurants, at least one that serves breakfast and is more of a 24-hr casual place...only place to get breakfast was Starbucks. Would definitely recommend the Tropicana.

The NEW Tropicana!Posted Jul 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Our stay was absolutely fantastic! It was like staying at a resort - it was not necessary to go offsite to have a great time. Of course, we did just because it is Vegas but everything we could have ever needed was right there in the hotel/casino.

Great stay!Posted Jul 22, 2013
Pros: Very helpful, friendly staff. Italian restaurant was amazing with very welcoming staff.
Cons: 1 concierge - interrupted personal conversation and she was curt in her response to my immediate need for directions to catch shuttle Little too smoky
Location: Shows, Driving distance to Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Lake Meade, Route 66, Powerhouse Museum, Grand Canyon Caverns
Fun, comfortable, great pool, nice shops, friendly staff, clean rooms, a little too smoky in casino area

Dissapointing. Find somewhere else.Posted Jul 22, 2013
Cons: Service was appalling
Location and room was very good. However the it appears that the hotel business is placed second after the casino business. The front desk service was painfully slow and undermanned. It took 1 hour to check in. Phone calls to the front desk were unanswered. The covered self parking area was half filled with old furniture!!! Overall I would say if you want to stay in Las Vegas don't bother with this place. Not worth the money and was overwhelmingly disappointing. Also they sting you for a "resort charge " of $19.99 per day so the attractive expedia price is bumped up with this hidden charge not even mentioned on the original booking - only that a charge may apply not how much it might be.

good valuePosted Jul 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
The Tropicana is nice recently renovated hotel on the strip. The pool - I book this hotel for its pools and location (family vacation) - the POOL is great BUT, 1. you dont have an access to the side shown in the pictures. 2. during the week only half of the pool is open 3. the music is too laud to simple relax during the day. ROOM - 1. nice , modern clean adequate. long walk 10-15 min walk from the parking structure, option: valet parking. RESTAURANTS - Didn't try but nice locations looks overpriced.

Nice hotel, can see upgradesPosted Jul 22, 2013
I enjoyed my stay at the Trop. My only regret is that it is so far down the strip to get to other hotels.
