Great location and very nice room!

Non-smoking hotel and no casino, very nice to get away from the strip feel but still be close enough to get there in minutes! Highly recommend it and will stay there again for sure!

Pleasant Experience but not the most comfy room.
Posted Jan 18, 2013
Pros: I liked the spaciousness of the room and the location. You really didn't need a car to get around. The bus and tram took you were you needed to go.
Cons: Adding more color to the room would have made a more pleasant stay. Though kitchenware was available, it would have been nice to have it already there
Location: The location was great. Really liked Aria and Bellagio near by. Lots to see and do in other hotels.
This was our first stay at Vdara. The location was ideal if you wanted to jump on the tram and visit the Aria, Bellagio or the Monte Carlo casinos. The Vdara was clean and simple. In my opinion, no extra creature comforts or homeiness about it. The staff were very professional and attentive. The view was what it was...the back of the parking garage with the mountains in the background. If we wanted a better view, we would have to pay additional money per night. The one restaurant was decent enough but not something I would want to go to for a serious meal. Complimentary bottles of water and k cups of coffee was nice. Never had to wait for an elevator - always available. Since we were in a suite with a full kitchen, we expected stocked cabinets. Only got a bottle opener. Had to call for room service each time we needed something for the kitchen. Annoying. No premium channels on either TV. Blackout blinds were a nice addition and having an extra 1/2 bath was great but the lighting system was less than par, especially when you didn't have the main light switch on. Could not turn out lights or retract blinds from bed. Had to get up, walk across room to turn out lamps on side of bed...Annoying. Recommendation - a map of the connection between the hotels would have been helpful. Had to find out the hard way.

Pretty Hotel but not worth the money.....
Posted Jan 17, 2013
Pros: Most of the staff was accommodating. Nice location.
Cons: Read under my experience.
Location: Located in City Center.
I stayed at this hotel because it seemed to be very nice from the website and having 5 stars I thought I couldn't go wrong! NOT THE CASE! We booked the suite with the separate living room and bedroom. The ac in the bedroom did NOT work, we had to call maintenance 3 times until they finally did something to cool the bedroom off. I had to sleep on the sofa bed for 2 nights because that was the only ac unit that worked. I don't think a home-less person would sleep on that sofa bed! The springs/coils were coming through the mattress, I had to call housekeeping to get 2 comforters to lay down along with sheets to finally be able to lay down without feeling the springs digging into me. Also, The water pressure in the shower is HORRIBLE! Prepare yourself to be in there for at-least 20-30 minutes, just to get the soap off your body. I rarely leave reviews...but I think people should know about my experience. I'm sure all the rooms are not like the one we happen to get. I even found the hallways to be HOT. This hotel is so stuck on being GREEN, and earth friendly, saving the earth...that they are causing guest to not have a pleasant experience.....oh bring your own toilet paper because Vdara's is worse than a public restroom!

Peaceful
Posted Jan 17, 2013
Cons: The Towels appeared a little worn out and had some stains and the couch could use some work.
Location: The Vegas Strip is right there and everything you could ever need / want is close.
We decided to stay at the Vdara as a peaceful resting place after we did the CRAZY on the strip. The hotel was nice, rooms large and it was quite.

Quiet hotel in vegas
Posted Jan 16, 2013
The hotel is beautiful. This was my third time staying here. The pool closes very early (7 pm) which is not convenient. Also, if you're sleeping on the sofa bed, they're extremely uncomfortable. Otherwise, the hotel is great.

Great place to stay!

Pros: It is upscale and very clean.
Cons: The cafe area could have longer hours.
Location: It is located in the new City Center and it has many shows and casinos around it.
Vdara is a great hotel to stay while in Vegas. It is close to many activites and the people treat you wonderfully. The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. Everyone in the hotel was pleasant and ready to help make your vacation a wonderful experience.

Great value for the money.

Location: Considered off the strip but basically on the strip. Great location for the $. Short walk around driveway to Aria & connecting walkway to Bellagio.
Housekeeping staff could use some improvement, specifically in the area of customer service. Had a negative experience over the phone when calling to request some clean washclothes. The lady on the phone was rude & sarcastic. On another experience, I had to wait a really long time & call again when requesting clean washcloths. My only complaint about the hotel.

smokeless Hotel in Vegas
Posted Jan 14, 2013
Pros: Smoke Free and well appointed.
we chose this hotel because the entire facility is a smoke free environment and we had several people with asthama traveling with us. The hotel met all our needs for the one night we stayed however the few small things that were not addressed in our room ( burnt out light bulbs in the lamps and the iron was bolted to the ironing board which made it very difficult to iron clothes and the teflon coating on the iron came off onto my clothes. The staff were accommodating and the bar prices were comparable to any other hotel.
