Vdara is a great hotel!

Phenomenal experience! Vdara is perfect! No casino means no smokey first floor to maneuver through. Everyone of the hotel staff was fantastic. Hotel room was very spacious and clean.

Vegas Stay without the ashtray

Posted Nov 18, 2014
Excellent place to unwind a retreat after all of your exciting Vegas ventures. Location is perfect proximity to the airport. Set back from the Blvd adjacent to the Aria right behind the Cosmopolitan, a terrific area to meet all your needs. The accommodations are comfortable, however a little more attention to detail such as dusting could be done. Also a few nicks on the furniture, but very modern. The upper floors have awesome views of the mountains. Pool is small, but a perfect oasis. Having a non-gaming resort is far better then I expected. All the amenities without the stench and constant compulsion to gamble. Nice place... My grade is a B+

Overall a great place to stay!

Posted Nov 18, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness; comfort; the room view of the Strip.
Cons: The reading lamp on one side of the bed was broken, I had to request a coffee maker, and the heated pool closes really early.
Location: Right in the middle of everything you want on the Las Vegas Strip.
This property gives you what you expect in a five star property. The comfort of the bed and pillows was better than I had expected. The room had a Bosch microwave included. Very good value. The views are wonderful and the automatic window curtains was a nice touch. I did not like that the pool closed early, especially since it is heated.

50th Birthday

Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Vdara is wonderful. Excellent hotel a bit different from the normal hotels in Vegas in that it does not have a casino and is non smoking. Just a short covered stroll from the Bellagio and tram access to other hotels in the complex. The strip is accessed through the Aria. The hotel itself is very modern with great facilities and the staff were very professional, helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely stay here again

Pleasing Stay in City Centre

Posted Nov 12, 2014
Pros: Location, proximity to amenities, hotel staff, no casino.
Cons: Cleanliness of suite, and better condition of room.
Location: City Center shopping, close to everything on the strip.
I have been to Vegas 15 times, and have stayed at many hotels, including the Aria, right next door to Vdara. The hotel staff were excellent, and the lobby bar and overall atmosphere is nice. No casino inside means much less smoke and noise. And if you want a casino, Aria is 50 years away. The rooms were spacious. The bathroom was excellent. I had a kitchenette, but had no need of it. Although there is a gourmet grocery market in the lobby. So if you want to cook for yourself you can. I was disappointed with the decor and the condition of the suite. There were stains on the couch and carpet. And when I checked in, the desk and tables were dusty. I called down to housekeeping and they came up right away and re-did the room. As I said earlier, staff were great. However, having stayed at the Aria, I think the Aria's rooms are nicer. Having stayed at the Wynn and the Venetian and the Aria recently, I would chose them over the Vdara. Realistically, I think it should be a 4 star, not 5.

Relaxed stay away from the hustle

Posted Nov 12, 2014
Pros: quiet, relaxed atmosphere. spacious rooms new building
Cons: remove or tone down the scent in the lobby shuttle to the strip
Location: back from the strip: 10 minute walk to Las Vegas Boulevard close to Aria and Bellagio for casinos and numerous fine restaurants
Over all an excellent hotel; rooms are spacious and well appointed, staff was courteous and attentive, check in/out was a breeze. Due to the location back from the strip and lack of its own casino, the hotel is not overly busy, we stayed during a convention and it was still not crowded. There is an odor pumped into the lobby area, an overly fragrant scent to 'welcome' you to the Vdara, not foul, and possibly pleasing to some, but overpowering none the less. (Aria next door does the same thing with a different scent) The Vdara is a ways off the strip, you have to walk outside through the Aria and down a sidewalk or through the Bellagio to get to the strip. While this is OK for those with good shoes and endurance, it is not practical or convenient for those going out on the town or out of shape. Yes, taxis are available right out the doors, but the added cost of having to taxi back and forth is sometimes a deterrent. The Vdara does not have its own casino, restaurant or night club, though it does have a sports bar in the lobby with limited seating and hot food must be brought from the Aria. Rooms were beautiful with separated livingroom area, kitchen area with table, chairs, fridge and microwave and sleeping area. The bathroom was nice with single shower and deep bathtub (no jets). Power station with 1 USB plugin and numerous electrical outlets throughout the room. Electronic curtains with blackout option were a nice touch, as was the A/C

Perfectly quiet and convenient location

Posted Nov 12, 2014
Pros: Everything in the hotel is great, there is a cafe and a starbucks, across the valet lot there is the Aria which has shops and the casino.
Location: Location is great with the city tram link to the Monte Carlo which save a bit of a walk. Belagio is attached. What more can you ask for!
This is the forth time of staying at this Hotel and I would not stay anywhere else. The staff are great, the rooms are amazing and it is in a great location to get either need of the strip walking or using the SDX or Deuce stops right outside the Belagio or Paris which is about a 5 minute walk.
