Best of both worlds !!!

Posted Apr 21, 2014
Pros: The hotel was great! It was clean, service was great and with the pools and beach and water activities, it provided a lot of variety of activities.
Cons: Rick's restaurant could use screening on their patio so that you can sit outdoors without the birds aggressively trying to get food. Marssa-longer hrs
Location: Safe, beautiful area. Close to Hoover Dam, Boulder City, Lake Mead beaches, marinas!
We had easy access to partake of the offerings of the Vegas Strip -- convenient shuttle service from the hotel, and a relaxing, enjoyable beach vacation at the hotel. There were many water type of activities to enjoy. A really great thing was that there was no gambling at the hotel...this allowed for a nice separation of activities, allowing some quality family time!

Pet friendly at Lake Las Vegas

Posted Apr 17, 2014
We were looking for a pet friendly smoke free luxury hotel not too far from the strip. We had a perfect room for our two small dogs and we were able to open the sliders and walk right out on the path. The hotel was beautifully maintained and it was a pleasure not to have to deal with a casino. We had a delicious buffet breakfast included. If you don't mind a 35 minute drive to the strip, this hotel us for you! I would surely stay there again with my dogs.

absolutely beautiful

Pros: Beds. Atmosphere. Staff
Cons: Cleanliness of our patio
Location: Lake mead state park, Hoover dam, shopping and casinos
After spending 4 days in Vegas, getting married and partying like rock stars (lol). This was an absolutely relaxing resort to stay at. I had a wonderful massage and the beds were very comfortable. The city is not to far. If we travel out that way again I think we would almost stay there and just go into the city. Breathtaking views and very polite staff made this and enjoyable stay.

Pleasant, but busy, hotel on Lake Las Vegas

Posted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: Bed. Shampoo & Conditioner provided in the room. Options.
Cons: The prices of stuff even in the little marketplace were outrageously high. I'm talking 4X the cost for a SmartWater. I couldn't believe it.
Location: There's a nice area called the Village with lots of things to look at and different options for food (instead of hotel restaurants).
I stayed here thinking the 2014 Super Spartan was right down the road. I was pretty depressed when I found out it was in North Las Vegas instead for this year. This resort hotel does not have any casinos on the property. Which is a nice bonus for non-smokers like me. It does, however, have a free shuttle to the Westin on the strip by the Bally's. It's a 30-45 minute ride and you have to make a reservation with the Valet guys. It's worth it if you want to getaway yet still experience the strip when the mood arises. Rooms were comfy. The atmosphere was pleasant, there are always people milling about. The 3rd and 4th floor are right around the corner from the nice lounge area near the lobby with a bar - I forget the name, but I think it's a martini bar. All in all, I'm happy with the hotel, but not happy that I was 45 minutes away from my event.

Though we do regret any inconveniences with our location, it was a pleasure to accommodate you at the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa. Thank you for pointing out our convenient shuttle service to the Las Vegas entertainment. We are happy that you enjoyed many aspects of our property though we regret if you encountered any inconveniences with our prices. We do feel that all of our prices in our marketplace are comparable to the area. We hope you'll allow us the opportunity to welcome you back.

Wonderful hotel! Wonderful staff!

Posted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: Just about everything!
Cons: The wifi.
Location: Hoover dam and Lake Mead were very close and easy to get to! must see Hoover dam if you are in the area.
We could not have been more pleased with our stay at the Westin Lake Las Vegas. From the moment we arrived until the time we checked out, our stay was very relaxing. We arrived early in the day (early flight!) and we tooled around Las Vegas for a while, then thought we would try to find the hotel. We knew we couldn't check in until later in the day - but thought we'd get an idea of when we might be able to. Well the wonderful staff got us into a room early so we could begin our vacation right away! The Westin Heavenly beds were the BEST! I want one in my home (and I have a Sleep Number bed!). The only thing that was a bit of an issue was the wifi. Our cell phones didn't get the best coverage at the resort, so we used wifi calling mode -but that was a little hit or miss too...other than that - we couldn't have been more please, and we will be back!

Family Gathering at the Westin Lake Las Vegas

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Staff, from the valet, front desk to the wait staff, were very friendly and gracious. The breakfast buffet at Rick's restaurant was excellent.
Cons: Your hotel information/menu brochure is confusing. If you see only the menu side, it doesn't immediately come to mind that you should flip it over...
Location: If you plan anything on the Las Vegas "Strip" and are driving, give yourself at least 45 min. traveling/parking time.
Everytime I logged on to check out of the hotel from my room, I kept getting a message asking me to try again later. one hours and serveral attempts later, i simply went to front desk to check out. It took two minutes. You might check your software system, or perhaps if too many people rare checking out at the same time you've got an overload? Staff - from the valet, front desk to the wait staff - were very friendly and gracious. The breakfast buffet at Rick's restaurant was excellent. Rick's Restaurants Sunday buffet breakfast was excellent and well priced. However, the eggs and pancake stations should be checked more frequently, and at times the lines of people was unweikdly...crowing into the dining room area. Walking around these folks was interesting for guests and wait staff.
