"Best location & value on the Strip!"
Best value on the Strip! Stayed 9 nights in Nice clean large room equipped with safe & mini fridge. Did not have any smoke smell. Liked the shelves above the bathroom sink and around the tub. Great location near other Vegas casinos, mall, and dining you could walk to. Parking garage. Would definitely stay again. Courteous staff. Food court and convenience shops were handy. Enjoyed the pinball. Swimming pool was closed but looked nice.

"nice quiet off the strip close to everything"
this place is great if you dont mind a 10 minute walk to the strip or taking the bus across the overpass to excalibur, mgm, tropicana or nyny. plenty of restaurants nearby including many at the Orleans which is just up the street. the hotel is quiet, renovated, good rates, pool and hot tub thats open till 10. beds are comfortable, good tv lineup, in-n-out burger is across the street. will definitely stay here again on my next trip. just watch out for stragglers on the sidewalks, hoochies etc.

"The Rumor is a fun hotel that is great for couples"
My boyfriend and I stayed there the other night and we loved the room. The bed was a comfortable memory foam mattress and we enjoyed the couple's tub. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to stay on or near The Strip.

"Just one block off the Strip."
I have stayed here numerous times and have never found anything to moan about. It's handy for the Strip, rooms are clean and comfortable. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Free transport to and from the airport. Coffee machine in all rooms and supplied every day. Also coffee, tea, hot choc etc supplied free in reception area. Continental breakfast now served in restaurant. Casino just a few steps away from hotel. Swimming pool and hot spa. What's not to like ???

The hotel is in a great location. The staff was friendly and the amenities were very good. We were offered a room on a higher floor after the second day since all they had available was the 7th floor when we checked in. The view from the 34th floor was great!

Where to stay in Las Vegas

    Las Vegas Hotel Guide

Known as the Entertainment Capital of the World, Las Vegas, Nevada, shines brightly both metaphorically and physically. From outer space, Las Vegas is the brightest city in the world, but back down on earth, it is home to some of the top star performers from Celine Dion and Criss Angel to the Cirque du Soleil and The Blue Man Group. Just like bugs attracted to the light, travelers from around the world flock to Sin City to reserve the best deals on hotels in Las Vegas for an unforgettable vacation. Book your flight to Las Vegas today to kick start your adventures on The Strip.

    Hotels

When it comes to Las Vegas hotels, the selection is vast. You’ll find all sorts of accommodations here, including resorts located on The Strip and Freemont Street. There is also a variety of lodging available in nearby areas, such as North Las Vegas, Henderson, and South of The Strip, when you want a break from the nightlife. Whether you’re looking for hotels with casinos and on-site shows or hotels with pool access and lounges, there’s a place for you.

    Transportation

Because Las Vegas has packed so many hotels and attractions along The Strip, visitors can experience many of the sites on their own two feet. While a walking tour may seem appealing, remember to stick to the crosswalks and sidewalks to avoid receiving a jaywalking ticket and holding up traffic.

Contrary to popular belief, the resorts and casinos are spread out, due to their sheer size, so a rental car can come in handy. Vacationers who want to expand their horizons beyond walking distance may want to book affordable car rentals in advance. Many of the luxury hotels feature free parking or validations, so finding a parking spot is hassle-free.

There are also numerous taxi services and buses, such as The Deuce and Citizen Area Transit (CAT), which will gladly transport visitors around town. Flag one down at a hotel because hailing one straight from the street is actually illegal in Las Vegas.

    Travel Basics

A town with the nickname “Sin City,” doesn’t receive such a reputation by turning its lights out after 9 p.m., which means the partying in Las Vegas usually continues into the early hours of morning. So if you plan on receiving a good night’s sleep while vacationing here, we suggest packing a pair of ear plugs to cancel out the noise - especially if you book one of the Vegas hotels in the middle of all the action.

As for venturing outside to the other attractions on The Strip, it’s best to create an itinerary. Though the stretch is only a little over four miles, you won’t want to back track or loop around all afternoon especially during the scorching summer months. Map out your route, pack your walking shoes, and remember to only cross at the designated cross walks.

    Weather

Although palm trees and water fountains may characterize Las Vegas, don’t be fooled; this tropical paradise is in the middle of the desert. And desert means scorching temperatures in the summer and chilly winter evenings. From June through August, Vegas usually sees temperatures soar between the 90 and 100 F, which can make walking around under the hot sun a sweaty, muggy experience. If you do plan to visit during these summer months, pack a hat, sunscreen, and plenty of water to stay hydrated. Alternatively, in December through February, Vegas can experience temperatures that drop to the 30s F, so pack a jacket and brace for the wind.

The best time to visit Sin City is during the spring and fall. During these seasons, the temperatures are mild and comfortable. Both of these times are sometimes considered low season, as the crowds tend to pick up during the summer months and holidays.

Regardless of what time of year you visit the brightest place on earth, the hot entertainment is sure to warm you up while the pool parties will keep you cool. Book your Las Vegas vacation package right here with Expedia.com to kick start your Sin City getaway today.
