"Perfect location on The Strip"
Excellent hotel experience. Perfect location on the strip, I loved the new ( to me ) area between Flamingo and Linq THe shops and restaurants are fantastic. This hotel was perfect for my trip because it was new and luxury enough for the cost and yet not so nice and expensive I wanted to spend more time in my room to justify what I spent on lodging.

"Two nights stay"
We were pleasantly surprised at the total condition of the hotel since their rates were considerably less than others on Fremont Street. The room was clean and everything was in working order (altho hotel was totally remodeled 2 years ago). Free in-room safe was a comfort to have. It didn't work in the beginning but within 20 minutes of reporting the problem someone was there and fixed it. The noise from the hourly Laser Light show on Fremont Street was barely noticeable when we were in the room and we heard no noise from the corridor - even tho we were told the hotel was 90% booked. Only negative we can make comment on is the very steep drive needed to use the parking garage. Altho they do offer Valet parking service, we choose to self-park. Some of the street entertainers on Fremont Street might not be suitable for young children - near nudity and provacative costumes.

"Surprisingly a great stay expecting much worse"
We booked this hotel as it was on the strip but we were worried that it was old, so we were not expecting much compared to staying at a 4-5 star hotel. The rooms were clean (for a 3 -4 star hotel) and offered lots like shows, stores. You will not need to look far for moderate priced food and entertainment. We took advantage of seeing a hotel show - magician & dinner (steakhouse) for a few dollars more. The show was awesome & the dinner was cooked perfectly. On par with among the best dinners I had. The location is ok - you can take the monorail to the other end of the strip from back of the hotel to see more of the strip. Give it a year & this hotel will be in a great location as they are building two awesome looking hotels on both sides. If we go we would keep this place as an option to stay and recomend it to others.

    Hotels

When it comes to Las Vegas hotels, the selection is vast. You’ll find all sorts of accommodations here, including resorts located on The Strip and Freemont Street. There is also a variety of lodging available in nearby areas, such as North Las Vegas, Henderson, and South of The Strip, when you want a break from the nightlife. Whether you’re looking for hotels with casinos and on-site shows or hotels with pool access and lounges, there’s a place for you.

    Transportation

Because Las Vegas has packed so many hotels and attractions along The Strip, visitors can experience many of the sites on their own two feet. While a walking tour may seem appealing, remember to stick to the crosswalks and sidewalks to avoid receiving a jaywalking ticket and holding up traffic.

Contrary to popular belief, the resorts and casinos are spread out, due to their sheer size, so a rental car can come in handy. Vacationers who want to expand their horizons beyond walking distance may want to book affordable car rentals in advance. Many of the luxury hotels feature free parking or validations, so finding a parking spot is hassle-free.

There are also numerous taxi services and buses, such as The Deuce and Citizen Area Transit (CAT), which will gladly transport visitors around town. Flag one down at a hotel because hailing one straight from the street is actually illegal in Las Vegas.

    Travel Basics

A town with the nickname “Sin City,” doesn’t receive such a reputation by turning its lights out after 9 p.m., which means the partying in Las Vegas usually continues into the early hours of morning. So if you plan on receiving a good night’s sleep while vacationing here, we suggest packing a pair of ear plugs to cancel out the noise - especially if you book one of the Vegas hotels in the middle of all the action.

As for venturing outside to the other attractions on The Strip, it’s best to create an itinerary. Though the stretch is only a little over four miles, you won’t want to back track or loop around all afternoon especially during the scorching summer months. Map out your route, pack your walking shoes, and remember to only cross at the designated cross walks.

    Weather

Although palm trees and water fountains may characterize Las Vegas, don’t be fooled; this tropical paradise is in the middle of the desert. And desert means scorching temperatures in the summer and chilly winter evenings. From June through August, Vegas usually sees temperatures soar between the 90 and 100 F, which can make walking around under the hot sun a sweaty, muggy experience. If you do plan to visit during these summer months, pack a hat, sunscreen, and plenty of water to stay hydrated. Alternatively, in December through February, Vegas can experience temperatures that drop to the 30s F, so pack a jacket and brace for the wind.

The best time to visit Sin City is during the spring and fall. During these seasons, the temperatures are mild and comfortable. Both of these times are sometimes considered low season, as the crowds tend to pick up during the summer months and holidays.

Regardless of what time of year you visit the brightest place on earth, the hot entertainment is sure to warm you up while the pool parties will keep you cool. Book your Las Vegas vacation package right here with Expedia.com to kick start your Sin City getaway today.
