Beautiful Beach HotelPosted Sep 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
The restaurant and breakfast is the best part! Great view and a very quiet location.

location good but so many english peoplePosted May 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
It was good value for money but just a bit too Brit friendly. Baked beans and full english breakfast might suit some holiday makers but we want a more authentic Cretan experience when we travel. Rooms clean and comfortable but not a visually appealing hotel. One receptionist very friendly, the other quite stern.

Lovely place for couples in a superb locationPosted May 13, 2013
Pros: The beach road location near the main Elounda Village was ideal. Restaurant waiting staff were so helpful and friendly, as were reception staff.
Location: Easy walk to main village, and to main road with buses and shops. Quiet location with great sea and land views.
The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay and spoke excellent English. We stayed on a B&B basis and were happy with the choice of food for breakfast. We had main meals for 3 out of our 7 days, and were very happy with the food. We were pleased that they made the effort to provide spit roast lamb as a traditional lunchtime meal for Easter Sunday. The views from the restaurant were lovely and it was great to have seats by the sea. The location was fantastic, very close to the main Elounda village and harbour but also close to a pleasant walk in the other direction.

Excellent choice and price/quality balance.Posted May 7, 2013
Pros: The staff are excellent and the location of the hotel, on the beach and near a small town, were the best points."
Cons: Nothing really important to note.
Location: Great location, on the water with a beach. Breakfast is served in the restaurant on the dock. Magical.
Very good place to stay for a couple of nights, excellent quality for the price. We were lucky to get a last-minute price, so it was really very low. The hotel is located right on the beach, with its own bar/restaurant on a small dock extending over the water. The water is perfectly clear and clean, so no problem to swim. There are many other restaurants within a short walk, so you have plenty of eating options. The staff were charming and helpful. The hotel had just opened for the tourist season, so there were still a few problems to solve, but nothing major. The room was the standard size and quality for Crete but the big advantage of a balcony overlooking the sea. All in all an excellent choice.

Very good location.Posted Sep 19, 2012 on Hotels.com
We found the hotel to be in a very good location just minutes from Elounda square and a bars and restaurants. The stroll from the hotel to the square passed many nice waterfront restaurants and the hotel itself had a lovely restaurant with good food and good value for money on a protruding pontoon providing a lovely place to sit and enjoy your meal. The view towards Spinalonga was beautiful. It was nice to have the pool and terrace on the 4th floor providing superb views across the bay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My main critiscm was that the room was quite basic and small. You would want a room close to the front (as ours was) to get a sea view. I would definately recommend this hotel.

A local Greek experience, well worth every penny!Posted Sep 13, 2012
Pros: The staff
Cons: The TV
Location: Quiet seafront location, 5 minutes stroll from the town centre. Amazing views of the bay.
This is a family run Greek hotel. It offers exceptional service from all the staff, they are so friendly and welcoming, you will feel like a long lost cousin. It sits at the quiet end of town and most of the guests are over 25 so little chance of any hi jinks or loud neighbours. We had the mega cheap room which was small but immaculately clean with its own tiny balcony. The TV had no english channels, so no news catch up BUT who goes on holiday to watch TV? The shower is traditionally Greek ( a floor pan and a curtain) but it does the job. They have upgraded the pluming so you can flush paper down the loo, something you may not find in all greek places. The free lobby & bar wifi was great. You must try their restaurant - great home cooking and first rate service.

Great location and good valuePosted Sep 4, 2012
Pros: Dining room on the water
Cons: Hard pillow
Location: The town is not attractive but the landscape around is lovely
The hotel has a lovely setting right on the water. The breakfast is generous. The pillows are rather hard but the rooms are an adequate size. The staff were helpful.

Akti Olus, Elounda, worth it!Posted Aug 16, 2010 on Hotels.com
Its a great hotel, just 5 nanoseconds from the sea. The staff is very friendly. Its walking distance from the town centre and bus stops where a bus can take you to Ag Nikolais. Special mention to be made of Sula who was really warm. The restaurant food is exceptional as was the service. Great place to stay!

Fabulous little town and hotel is in awesome location!!Posted Jun 12, 2009 on Hotels.com
Elouna is in such a beautiful location. Hotel is fantastic. Breakfast is lovely. Room is really comfortable. But we had to pay €6 per night extra for air conditioning. Private beach is tiny, but great. Would definitely recommend.

overall the hotel was nice and clean but the room was very basic and there was not alot of room to accomidate our clothes as there was just one clothes rail and no chest of draws. The third bed was a camp bed and was no more comfortable than a sun lounger and unsuitable for even an overnight stay let alone a week. Although the room was kept clean, the maids started earlier than expected (between 8- 8.30 am)and showed no concideration to any guests that may still be aslep. They slammed the doors and shouted to communicate with each other. The air conditioning was of a very good standard and worked effectivly however whilst the key card was in the slot there was no way of turning it off and it became unbareably cold and noisy at times. The view from the balcony was dissapointing overlooking the rear of the shops, this was not helped by a barking dog which was chained up throunghout our stay. The hotels breakfast was of a poor standard and finished at 9.30 ! The pool area and the surrounding sun terrace was of a good standard and we used it on a regular basis, dissapointingly the roof terrace bar was never open and this was suprising as we were there in peak season and it meant we had to go down to the ground floor to get a drink.
