Recommended: A decent hotel for the price. Easy access to Albany-Troy-Schenectady but not actually in any of those cities and without the downtown traffic. Acess to Routes 7, 9 and Thruway/Northway. Recommended: Older hotel with musty smells and water stains on the ceiling. Staff was very freindly. I wish we could have had dinner at thr restaurant... the menu looked awesome. We were only ther for one night but had a hard time sleeping due to noisey air conditioner. Bed was average. Best part of the hotel for me was the walking/jogging pathe located on the property. Recommended: This is our third or fourth time at this hotel, as we go to Saratoga every summer for the races, and this is 20 min drive to the track. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are a nice size, clean and comfy. We had booked a standard room but were given a mini suite upon check-in at no additional charge. Complimentary coffee and snacks are in the lobby at all times, including fresh baked cookies and fresh fruit. Checking in and out was simple -- Expedia confirm # took care of everything. There are restaurants and a large shopping mall in the area but we really weren't there for more than a reasonably priced, safe, clean place to sleep. See all reviews for this hotel

Recommended: Was very impressed with the newnest and cleaniness of the room. Liked the coffee maker that was in the room and with an iron and ironing board. First time I have seen this in a hotel. Recommended: While on a college admission visit to RPI with my son, we stayed at the Latham Travelodge. Although I selected the hotel based solely on price and location, this was one of the best hotel experiences I had in a long time. We arrived around 9 PM, as we had planned and advised them via Expedia, and the innkeeper was waiting for us. The room was very nicely decorated and contained all conveniences including a fridge and safe! The beds were comfortable and the clock radio easy to operate. The innkeeper told us the location of restaurants that were open and we had a nice dinner, just down the road. In the morning the continental breakfast was great, my son especially appreciated the "make your own waffle".
